Chapter 12

The woman was transferred to a private room. Mina and Chaeyoung is in room waiting for the girl to wake up. Chaeyoung is watching a tv while Mina is playing games on her phone when the heard a stir from the hospital bed. The woman is awake.

"Hey are you okay?" Chaeyoung stood up from the sofa and approach the girl. Mina just stayed sitting and watch. The woman slowly opened her eyes and adjusted it to the light.

"Who are you?" She look so confused.

"I'm Chaeyoung the one you almost crash with on the parking lot." She introduced. The woman seems to regain her recollection of the memory.

"Oh yeah I'm sorry are you okay?" She asked worried. She tried to sat up and Chaeyoung helped her with the bed. Chaeyoung smiled.

"I'm fine. What's your name? We need to call your family." Chaeng took out her phone ready to call someone.

"I'm Kang Seulgi but don't call anyone. I don't have a family here." She answered. Chaeyoung does not know what to say to that. Well sure they can help but it's sad to know someone is living without a close family. But contrary to Chae when Mina heard her name, she smirked.

"How about a lover?" Mina chirped in.

"Uhm I'm looking for her actually."Seulgi lowered her stare as if she's afraid.

"What's her name? Maybe we can help?" Chaeyoung sat on the edge of the bed. Mina waited for her to answer the lady's name.

"Bae Joohyun" She answered.

Silence...

"wait.. Did I heard it right? Bae Joohyun? As in that Bae Irene?" Chaeyoung is beyond surprised. But Mina has the face where she expected it already.

"Yeah you know her?" Seulgi asked.

"Of course who fucking don't? She's everywhere on the tv." Chaeyoung rolls her eyes. Seulgi laughed at the girl's reaction.

"She is. I came to this place to look for her." She explained. Mina stood up from her seat and stood besides Chae.

"She don't know her lover is here?" Chaeyoung is skeptical now. Uhm maybe she damaged her brain? that she mistook Irene Bae as her lover?

"She did not know that I am back. I left her." She bite her lips feeling guilty for what she did.

"Woah why dude? Did you know how scary that woman now?" Chaeyoung rub her arms as if feeling the chills.

"I know. I made her like that." Seulgi's eyes are sad. It's full of emotions Mina can't quite decipher.

"We will meet her tomorrow. Would you like to come?" Mina offered. Chaeyoung shot a surprised look at her. As if saying what are you doing.

"You will?"

"Yes we have some business with her too." She replied. Chaeyoung sigh. This Kang Seulgi is an ex lover if she were to bring the woman with them. Don't you think it'll lessen our chance for a yes?

"Thank you" She smiled with those crescent eyes. Chaeyoung knows she can't refused that.

The two of them are back on their hotel room. Kang Seulgi insisted that she'll be fine alone and so the two respected her decision.

"Minari why did you ask her?" Chaeyoung sat on the bed and stare at her with curiosity.

"She looked much desperate than us" Mina continued drying her hair. Chaeyoung couldn't agree more. Well at least we can help someone.

"About the game are you confident about it?" Mina slips under the cover after drying her hair.

"Yeah you can trust me on that" Chaeyoung has her eyes fixed on the television in front that she didn't the smirk from the girl.

"Are you going to sleep?" She asked again. Mina just hums in reply and close her eyes. Chaeyoung looked at the woman besides her.

"Really? It's still early"

"I just need to close my eyes." Mina excused. It wasn't because she's sleepy, It was because she could feel her eyes changing. The after effect of using that ability. She rarely use it.

"Hmm we do have a rough day. My luck never supports me." Chaeyoung sigh remembering their encounters.

"You're pretty lucky though" Mina argued.

"How can you say so?"

"I just know." She shrug.

"What a weird one." she chuckled.

You are the one who's weird.

Jihyo and Nayeon stood side by side. Only that Jihyo wore her mask again. They're now in front of the three curios girls who's waiting for them to say anything.

"Uhm captain is she the one who's joining us?" Sana asked. Jihyo nodded.

"Yes but before that she needs to have her fair." Jihyo cleared her voice before saying. "Dahyun you have to apologize." Nayeon's eyes flickers in intense blue. Dahyun gulped seeing the woman who seems ready  to skin her.

"I'm Kim Dahyun. I'm sorry about what I did I never planned to kill your lover other" She bowed wishing that the woman would accept that.

"Jeongyeon suffers from what you did you think that could be solve with sorry?" Nayeon gritted her teeth.

"Nabong please calm yourself. Dahyun doesn't know. She was trained to do that." Jihyo tried to defend her member.

"Still- aish okay I'll settle with one punch. Just one let me have it" She sighs. Jihyo worriedly looked to girl who seems to already accept her faith.

"Okay I accept. It's my fault-"

"No just hit me. Dahyun has a weak body she can't take it." Sana stood up shielding Dahyun on her back.

"But unnie you-"

"Babe I promised to protect you remember?" Sana smiled to her. Momo who's watching the scene rolled her eyes.

"Come on. It's not like you won't heal" she deadpan.

"Doesn't mean it won't hurt Momoring" -Sana.

"Duh you received a blow from Mina and you're still here" She retorts. Sana made a pause on that.

"Fair argument." She nodded.

"Will you let me punch you or not?" Nayeon stood waiting for them to stop talking.

"okay come" Sana's eyes changed into an intense blue color too. Nayeon smirked. If you think I'm that easy please remember this.

Nayeon took one step to put all the force on her fist. Sana tried to defend herself as she tried to protect her front with her ability but it seems useless as the punch landed on her stomach. She flew meters away and almost collided with the wall. Good thing that Jihyo managed to catch her. She cough some blood. Dahyun worriedly rushed on her side.

"Woah that was refreshing." Nayeon shakes her hand after punching the girl. Momo took a syringe from her coat and injected it to her coughing friend. Sana recovered in no time.

"Fuck that was strong." she cussed after healing completely.

"She specialized with force of course It'll be strong." Jihyo hissed.

"Why you didn't tell me earlier?" Sana complained.

"Well will you back out if I'll tell you?" -Jihyo

"No but at least there's heads up" She argued.

"Still that won't make a difference." Jihyo chuckled. Sana just sigh in defeat. Yeah right.

Silence. It was something the car holds while Mina is driving them on the mansion. Chaeyoung and Seulgi are nervous with different reasons. While Mina, she's just cool. They arrived on the mansion with the still dark aura coming from the two.

"come on you two should cheer up." Mina deadpan. They just nodded with the same expression. Mina sighs and the same middle aged man welcomes them. He lead the three to the arcade room where the owner waits.

"Wait you go first I need to use the toilet" Seulgi excused. The man guided her where to go as the other two entered the room.

"welcome" The elegant lady was no longer the same woman they met yesterday. Instead of a suit, the woman is wearing a black hoodie with black sweat pants. Chaeyoung mentally drop her jaw. This was her first time seeing the woman in such comfortable clothes.

"You look.. comfortable Ms. Bae" Chaeyoung commented.

"I need to be comfortable if I want to play my games." She smiled, this time it wasn't that manufactured one. Maybe the game is a really good idea.

"Shall we start?" Mina started. Irene gladly nodded. They are now in front of a tekken machine.

"I suppose you know already the rules of this game?" Irene asked.

"Yeah I know but about the deal.. If we win you will sign the contract"

"But if you won't you will stop pursuing me" Mina just nodded. They came to agreement and start picking characters. Chaeyoung does not know who's the characters as she's not a gamer herself. Yes they're a technology development company but it's like she handles the game department.

She watched as Mina changed to her very serious self. Chaeyoung mentally remind herself not to get on the woman's bad side. Irene and Mina looks like they're somehow doing something life threatening. The way their hands move is so fast that Chaeyoung has to squint her eyes to clearly see. She decided to only focus on the screen.

It seems like Joohyun is leading the match but Mina is fairly good too. The fight is close but it seems like Irene won the first round. Irene smirked seeing that she won.

"You're pretty good" She complimented. "not enough to defeat me too" She chuckled. Mina just smiled on that. She seems to plan something. The second round starts shortly. This time Mina has this confident smirk.

"Be ready Ms. Bae" She smiled. The game starts and it seems more crazy fast. Chaeyoung watched as Mina maneuvers her fingers to the console. Irene tried to par up with her but the penguin didn't let her. She ended the fight with a deadly combo. Chaeyoung literally has her mouth hanging.

"Yah how did you do that?" Irene is beyond surprised. Mina just shrug. Since it's a tie now, there would be a round three. Just as the round is about to start someone entered the room. All their attention is on the woman standing at the door.

"Joohyun" that was the first thing that came out from Seulgi's mouth.

"What are you doing here?" Irene's face is now deadly serious. Chaeyoung prayed that no one will add on the tension.

"She came with us" Mina casually answered. Chaeyoung mentally slap herself.

"I'm sorry Hyun I should hav-"

"Leave" Her voice is commanding and full of authority.

"Please listen to her first. Let's postpone this deal tomorrow. We will leave you two." Mina stood up from her chair. Irene didn't say anything in response. Chaeyoung is confused on what was happening but she decided to just follow Mina. They passed by Seulgi and she whispered her goodluck before leaving.

"Uh I knew she won't like it" Chaeng sigh. Mina stayed silent.

"Where are we going?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Everywhere" She shortly replied.

"What? but what about Seulgi unnie?"

"Text her that we'll go first?" Mina shrug.

"Yah we can't just leave her he-"

"She'll be fine Chaeng" Mina deadpan. She entered the car first. Chaeyoung can't do anything but to pout. She followed the girl inside the car. Mina started driving there somewhere whoever knows. Chaeyoung somehow felt mad the fact that her assistant is deciding things for the two of them. But what she hates more is that she was right. Mina noticed that her passenger is sulking. She's being silent since they drove off and that was unusual. Mina sighs she played the radio and it played some upbeat music.

"You asked me if I have somewhere i want to go right?" She started. Chaeyoung looked at her pouting but still replied with a..

"Where?"

"Hmm the sea" she smiled.

"Why?"

"Because it makes me feel calm and relax."

"It did? are you stressed?" Chaeyoung is starting to lose the pout on her face. Something Mina thanked for. She can't bare her cuteness. It makes her feel things she don't know.

"No but I just want to see the sea today. Let the love birds reconcile for now"

"Okay but let's drop to the nearby shop. I'm craving for ice cream"

Mina smiled.

"Okay boss"

"Stop calling me that" Chaeyoung pouts again. Ugh

"Why?"

"Because we don't look like that. In our relationship you are more like the boss than I am" She sulks. Mina chukled on her remarks.

"It's because you let me."

"nah you just don't give me a choice." She rolled her eyes.

"You can actually"

"Tsk you only say that" She snickered. Mina sigh.

"Okay I will follow you today. Whatever you want I won't interfere unless it'll cause you harm"

"Promise?" Chaeyoung stick out her pinky fingers. Mina chuckled seeing the childish gesture.

"Yah don't laugh" Chaeyoung is smiling now. It seems like she's finally okay.

"Yes I promise" Mina took her free hand to have a pinky promise with the girl. Chaeyoung with a satisfied smile retreat on her seat.

A simple talk it out will work huh. Mina smiled while driving. It'll be a long day.
