Since the last time grandpa saw Ren Jing and him together, he had expected this day to come.

Hearing the word ‘darling’, Ye Chen blushed. His heart was feeling so pleasantly sweet when he said, “There’s really no need to worry. I promise that my parents will accept us.”

Ren Jing truly had no idea where Ye Chen got that confidence from.

Ye Chen’s eyes were sparkling. He said confidently, “Ren Jing who is the best person in the world belongs to me, so they could only be happy for me.”

Ren Jing can’t help laughing. “How could I be the best?”

Ye Chen’s eyes were in a curve. The words coming out of his mouth were extremely sweet, “You’re awesome all around. You’re good-looking, have a nice personality, have great acting skills, could earn a lot of money, and…”

Ren Jing didn’t dare to hear more. If he did, he would be reluctant to let go of Ye Chen’s hand.

“Go ahead…” Ren Jing planted a kiss on Ye Chen’s lips. “I’ll be waiting for the news.”

Ye Chen corrected him, “You’ll be waiting for the good news.”

Ren Jing’s restless heart became much calmer upon hearing his words. He replied softly, “Mn.”

Mother Ye said, “What else could we do? It’s not an illness, it’s not something which could be cured!”

Father Ye continued to go round and round in the house. After turning several times, he suddenly stopped. “I…I…”

Mother Ye, “It won’t work even if you beat him. This isn’t something you could discipline like attending class, going to bed, getting zero on an exam, or not finishing homework!”

Father Ye let out a sigh, then continued to roam around the house again. He kept on going around so many times that Mother Ye almost became dizzy. Then he suddenly said, “If I’m too strict, will he…do things like Little Xi did…”

Mother Ye suddenly stood up. Her face turned white as she shouted to her husband, “Behave yourself will you!? If something happens to Chen Chen, I’ll fight you!”

Father Ye’s legs became limp…

Gu Xi attempting suicide…not even Gu Xi’s parents know it. It was only Ye Chen and his parents who knew. This was because Ye Chen had been thrown into utter confusion at that time because of what had happened to Gu Xi. He couldn’t think of anyone else to help him, thus he sought Father Ye’s help.

Father Ye didn’t know the details, he only thought that Gu Xi had been disappointed with his parents.

Now that he thought about it again, he immediately broke out in a cold sweat!

Ye Chen went inside the door, then called out in a soft voice, “Dad, Mom, I’m home.”

At first, he thought that he would hear his father’s extreme fury, “You ungrateful son! You still have the nerve to come here!?”

In the end, he was directly faced with his parents who walked out of the house cautiously as they approached him.

Ye Chen was dumbfounded.

Before Father Ye could say anything, Mother Ye said, “Come in, come in now.”

After they went inside the house, Ye Chen shot a few glances at his father.

Father Ye couldn’t utter even a word. He simply took a look at his wife using the corner of his eyes and sat perfectly straight.

He actually thought that his father would fly into a terrible rage, but in fact, he didn’t say anything. Not only did he not lose his temper, he was even feeling scared instead.

Ye Chen really didn’t expect that his parents would think of that first before being enraged.
