" shhhhh ..avaz nahi karna okay ? "

Murtasim shushed his 5 year old little boy Rehan who just nodded cutely..his head up and down and put his finger on lips obeying his dad . murtasim didn't dare to even put the lights on as it may wake meerab ..so they were adjusting with phone's flashlight.

Both father and son duo has escaped from Their room just to have the icecream and the dark chocolate which was clearly banned for them ..They were only allowed to eat once a week ..

" Par dad agar mom dekh legi toh ? "

He asked cutely and murtasim smiled and picked him in his arms and made him sit on the kitchen counter beside the fridge

" Sulake hi aya hu ..Warna Hitler Hume khane deti kya ?"

Murtasim said and Rehan chuckled.

" Dad ..jaldi .. icecream"

He said pointing towards the fridge

And murtasim removed the box which was bought by him today and he kept hidden in the fridge so that meerab couldn't notice

Removing the icecream..he took the spoon for both of them and forwarded a Spoonful icecream for his little khan ..

Rehan took the bite and smiled widely and gave a long kiss on his cheek saying

" I love you baba ! Mumma se bhi jyada "

Rehan said ..

" I know..Main hu itna Loving..kya ho Karu ..Warna tumhari mom mujhpe flat kaise hoti "

Murtasim replied..and Rehan nodded

He was about to forward another Spoonful icecream when they both heard a sound

" Accha..Yeh baat hai murtasim?"

Meerab asked making both of them shocked and immediately the box of icecream fell from murtasim's hand listening her voice ..

While Rehan immediately jumped and hids under the kitchen counter to get himself saved ..

Meerab switching on the light comes near to murtasim and crossed her arms raising her one eyebrow

" Kya keh rahe the ? Flat huh ? "

She asked while murtasim smiled and cried in his mind for getting caught like this ..

" Nahi toh Jaan ..! Kuch bhi ..! Rehan bol Raha woh sab ! "

He said defending himself and pointed towards Rehan ..who was nowhere found in his sight..

Rehan shocked hearing his name ..as how his father blamed him easily..

" Haan woh toh pata hai mujhe..ki kon kya keh raha tha ..aur woh Shaitan kaha chupa hai ?"

Meerab bends and sees Rehan hiding cocooning himself in small area ..

" Hehe Mumma...dekho Maine dad ko dundh liya "

Rehan said..

"Rehan khan ne murtasim khan ko hide and seek mai pakad hi liya "

He added making murtasim shock

" Accha janab "

Meerab asked

" Jee ha ..Mom app mujhe kaam maat samjhe ..Rehan khan hu ..kisi se nahi darta "

He added again making murtasim and meerab arch their eyebrows

" Accha mujhe se bhi nahi?"

Meerab asked catching his ears and twisting it little making him scream like mad

" Mai kaun hota hu appse na darne wala ..mom ..Apse toh dad bhi darte hai "

Rehan said Making murtasim shocked when murtasim replied

" Accha ji ..abb ruko ice cream nahi khilaunga..1 month..tab pata chalega "

Murtasim warned .. while meerab shouted at both of them

" Tum dono ko kitni baar samjaya hai...Jab mai kahungi..jaise kahungi

Waise karoge.."

Both of them stood still .. closing their eyes and Bending Their hands .. murtasim tried to explain but meerab shouted again...

" Kaha na chup ! Bilkul chup ! "

Meerab said keeping her one hand on waist ..meerab continued scolding them ..For 15 mins and scolded Rehan badly ..

And Rehan burst out crying badly .. making murtasim and meerab shocked..

" Mumm..a ba..hut buri hai ...Papa bhi bure hai ..I w..on't talk .."

Rehan hicupped and rubbed his tears by his small little fingers..

Murtasim picked him and tried to console but he cried more ..

" Thoda toh rehem Karo mere bacche PE meerab "

Murtasim said and meerab's angry state turned in guilty one making her bundle of joy cry .

When rehen struggled and punched murtasim on his chest.. crying..

" Ap..p bhi bure ho ..niche utaro .. Mujhe"

" Agar meri behen hoti toh ..mai aur woh kha lete .. icecream..I want My little sister "

Rehen wriggled in Murtasim hold crying making both of them shocked..

" I want My little sister..I don't know..I want her tomorrow "

He said crying badly ...while both of them were looking rehen with shocked state and murtasim smirked seeing meerab.. making her roll her eyes and hide her blush

" Woh meri partner in crime banaegi..app dono toh mujhe datate rehte ho "

He said crying..while meerab took him in her arms and apologized

" Accha sorry baba ..Maaf kardo ..nahi chillaungi agge se "

Meerab said cupping his cheeks..and he smiled when she kissed his both cheeks and ruffled his hairs ...and wiped his tears ..

" Mumma ice cream..? "

Rehen pointed while Meerab sighed and huffed giving him permission.

Rehen took icecream and started enjoying ..

After few hours

Both were lying on the bed as Few minutes ago they made rehen sleep in his room and returned..

Murtasim pulled Meerab by her waist

" I think my baby is still upset with me "

" For what ? "

Meerab asked

" Didn't you see ..how he badly want his sister"

Murtasim added while her cheeks turned red and blushed hitting his chest.. hiding herself in his neck ..she muttered

" Dono baap bete ..ek jaise hi ho ? "

Murtasim smiled hearing her comment..

" So jao sweetheart..Kal tumhare important case ki hearing hai .."

Murtasim said while meerab nodded and drifted into sleep listening his heartbeats .

Murtasim was caressing her hairs ... Remembering the incidents 11 years back ..

Flashback -

That day at date night when Meerab when asked him about time & space... he just gave her space ...he didn't wanted to force her on anything..rather he supported her and asked her to continue her studies.. Which will be helping her to out from her trauma, pain .

It was hard for him to send her to another state but he was ready..if that's what the things will meerab make happy..

Meerab didn't made move towards him..but he didn't stop caring her ...he used to call and ask her about the day ..He wanted to live with her but she denied.

He used to visit her every Saturday and Sunday and take care of her every needs.He knew meerab loved being with him ..she but never confessed..he was okay..bcoz atleast she was comfortable with him..

How she used to find ways to make him stay with her .. but would never say from her mouth..but he used to understand and make any excuse and stay with her ..

After the date night,

Meerab filled complaint against haya and rohail..

He was truly amazed by her move..she was so strong..she too Invited media persons and cleared her name from the society telling about the rohel's motives..

And murtasim also remembered how she hugged her when he supported her in front of media saying

" Agar kisi ne mere biwi ke bare mai bakwas likhne ki koshish ki toh ..sidha legal actions lenge "

She was happy when he supported her ..

Next day murtasim, released haya and rohail as police were searching for them bcoz of meerab's complaint and he had no choice..

But he was not leaving them alive..due to them ..his Meerab had supported enough so..when police arrested them ..and they sat in the van suddenly the area bursted with numerous bombs ...

It was his plan ...he made the area clear as no innocent should be harmed in the blast and his plan for succed.. though it was difficult to handle the police interrogation but he did it carefully..as nothing was impossible to him..it was his area ..

It was now 5 years.. Meerab was now renowned lawyer but still she had not returned to him ..he still visits her ..but missed her badly..they used to go for dates and often spend good times with each other..but she never initiated that she is ready..to his side .

One day he himself took courage and asked her ..when they were on a date

" Meerab you are well settled now ..And A lawyer too .. I want you to experience everything in the life ...chahe woh Main rahu ya koi aur ..Bas I want you to be happy always..It on upon you now ..

If after 5 years..you are not able to trust me then Maybe I'm lacking in something..Take your decision..If you want me to leave you..then I'm also ready for that ..Only for ur happiness"

He added while meerab was left in deep thoughts ..Both were in pain..as the fear of losing her engulfed in his heart again.

Since that day be never called her nor he visited.. bcoz if he visits he will surely end up being vulnerable in front of her ..

Author's pov-

Meerab returned to tell him that she loves him .. And wanted to be with him ..when she got the news of maa begum's demise

Murtasim used to live in Village..he never contacted maa begum firfew years ..but always kept the news of her well being

Maa begum then apologized to him

He forgive her ..but said he wanted to live in Village itself to look after matters bcoz meerab loved this house than Khan haveli..he knows.

But the news of maa begum's demise broke him more ..when meerab returned she saw murtasim in most vulnerable state ..she couldn't help but hugged him ..offering him solace

Murtasim cried the whole night in her lap .. hiding himself in her stomach and her heart pained seeing him in that state ..

He was changed.. totally for her ..and she couldn't help but fell even more each passing day..

Caressing his hairs ..she consoled him and said ..

" Murtasim..maa begum will not like seeing u like this ...She is and was always with you.. offering her blessings.. please stop crying"

Meerab added

While he tightened his hold on her waist even more ..

Days passed...meerab was living with murtasim He was so broken and lost after maa begum's demise

So kne day she confessed her feelings for him... Making him happiest person on the earth..and his happiness had no bounds...

They started their journey and within a year they were blessed with little bundle of joy .. their rehan..bothwere on the moon seeing Their bundle of joy ...

Flashback ends

Murtasim was in tears when he remembered everything

Murtasim smiled when meerab kissed his chest in her sleep and said

" Kitna sochte ho Mr Khan ...so jaoo "

He engulfed her tightly and kissed her

Forehead promising to keep her happy for lifetime..as she is solace and happiness
