Today, I was visiting an amusement park with Hiyori.

“Aren’t you hot, Hiyori?”

“I’m fine.”

A straw hat and a pure white dress. A picturesque beauty was walking next to me.

“There are a lot of people here, so let’s … hold hands so we don’t get separated.”

“Hidetsugu-san …”

Hiyori was shy, but gently touched my offered hand. I gently squeezed her delicate hand.

“Then, let’s go.”

Hiyori nodded her head.

Speaking of summer…

“….H-haunted house.”

Hiyori was slightly trembling in front of it.

“Ah, I guess we shouldn’t do that after all?”

I said, but Hiyori shook her head slightly.

“Okay, let’s go.”

“…. yes.”

Then I entered the haunted house with Hiyori. As soon as we entered, it suddenly became silent. The heat disappeared, but instead an eeriness crawled up to me.

“Hiyori, are you okay?”

I called out to her, trembling next to me.

“Y-yes, I’m fine…”

“KISHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

“Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!”

Hiyori’s scream echoed and she hugged my arm.

“Hiyori?”

“… I-I’m sorry… I got a little scared.”

I looked at her trembling and stroked her head.

“I’m here for you, don’t worry.”

“Hidetsugu-san… is it okay if I continue to hug you like this?”

“O-Of course.”

I nodded while a little shaken. Then, Hiyori and I proceeded through the haunted house together. Frankly, I was not too scared of ghosts, so I was fine with it.

But ……

“….Uuuuu.”

Hiyori was scared and continued to hug my arm tightly. And, something soft was pressed….against my arm.

“C-Calm down, Me…”

“Are you scared, too, Hidetsugu-san?”

“Huh? Ah, y-yeah, I am scared….Scared to lose my sanity.”

Hiyori nodded her head. The two of us managed to get through the haunted house together.

“Hah~…… well, that was fun.”

“Yeah…It was thrilling.”

“H-Hiyori….Next, do you wanna get on the coffee cup?”

After that, we enjoyed various attractions and had lunch.

“What is it?”

“Hiyori, you eat quite beautifully.”

“So, even without a napkin, you might not get your dress dirty.”

“B-But…… I’m worried,  so I’ll keep it on.”

Hiyori said so with a napkin wrapped around her. By the way, what she was eating right now was pasta with tomato sauce.

I was having a hamburger steak.

“Hey, Hiyori.”

“Yes?”

Hiyori looked at me as she slurped her pasta.

“Why don’t you try my hamburger steak?”

“I-Is that okay?”

“Of course.”

I chuckled and cut the hamburger into bite-sized pieces.

“Here.”

Then, I brought it to Hiyori’s mouth.

“Ah, …”

“Here”

“Y-yes.”

Hiyori took a bite. She immediately covered her mouth with her hand.

“How’s it?”

“…Delicious.”

She said, blushing for some reason.

“H-Hidetsugu-san. Let me give it back to you.”

“Hm?”

Hiyori rolled up her pasta.

“Mou~~, if this was going to happen, I should have chosen a dish that uses chopsticks …”

“Hiyori?”

“I-It’s nothing.”

Hiyori finished wrapping the pasta around her fork.

“H-Hidetsugu-san.”

“Hmm?”

“H-Here….Ahh~”

As Hiyori said that, I suddenly felt embarrassed. I ate the pasta.

“I-I’m sorry, is it hard to eat?”

“Nnn..”

I deftly pulled pasta from the fork and chewed it slowly.

“…… Delicious, thank you.”

“Hidetsugu-san, … you are too kind.”

“It’s normal. Here, you want another bite of the hamburger?”

“Oh, please lend me that.”

When Hiyori took the fork with the hamburger from me,

“H-here you go, Ahh~”

“A-Ah~”

I got on with her again.

“… Hidetsugu-san, you’re so cute.”

“Y-You idiot, I’m a guy, you know? You’re the cute one.”

“Wahhhh~ …”

Hiyori turned so red that she almost let out steam.

After lunch, we continued to enjoy the attractions ……

“It’s getting dark,” I said,

“Do you want to go on one last ride?”

“Well, I’d like to go on …… that one.”

Hiyori pointed at the Ferris wheel.

“That works, You wanna get on?”

“Yes.”

Hiyori hugged my arm. I was surprised by that sudden attack.

After that, the two of us get on the Ferris wheel. We sat facing each other.

“I’m kind of nervous.”

“Hmm?”

“It’s my first time to on a Ferris wheel. …”

Hiyori smiled a little sadly.

“Then, from now on, together with me… let’s experience many new things.”

“Hidetsugu-san……”

Hiyori looked at me, smiling.

“..Ah”

“W-What’s wrong?”

“N-no, it’s nothing.”

For some reason, Hiyori was flustered, and I turned my head to look at her. For a while, we both took our time and enjoyed the view from the Ferris wheel.

“Umm, Hidetsugu-san”

“What’s up, Hiyori?”

“U-um…Can I sit next to you?”

“Huh?”

“N-No good?”

“Absolutely not.”

Hiyori stood up and came next to me. Then she sat down.

A moment of silence followed. But Why am I so nervous?

And then, Hiyori touched my hand. Right after I felt a shock, she leaned against me.

“Hi-Hiyori?

“… I’m happy.’

Hiyori said.

“It’s like a dream to be able to ride a Ferris wheel with  …… the person I love.”

Tears streamed from her eyes.

“I’m sorry. … I-I cry all the time.”

“It’s okay, cry as much as you want.”

I squeezed Hiyori’s hand.

“Hidetsugu-san… warm.”

“You’re warm too, Hiyori.”

“I’m so happy ……”

I noticed that Hiyori and I were staring at each other. How cute. I thought so.

I kissed Hiyori for the second time. This time, a little longer than the first time. Eventually, we slowly pulled away.

“…I’m really happy.”

“……Me too, Hiyori.”

“….Hidetsugu-san…I love you.”

“Me too… I love you too, Hiyori.”

Me and Hiyori hugged each other in the gondola lit by the setting sun.
