Chapter 23~ Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Today was the day. The day I try to not get possessed in a fucking morgue. Gosh, I can't believe the boys seriously thought they could get away with not telling me where our next location was going to be. Assholes.

I continued on preparing for our trip to Waverly hills, internally praying that the boys didn't have any other secrets their keeping from me about this location.

After picking out my outfit and straightening my hair, I double checked I didn't forget anything before leaving my room and reuniting up with the boys in the living room.

"We ready?" Ryan eagerly asked as he got up from the couch and shoved his phone into his pants pocket. Ryan's lifted up mood reminded me that he still has no idea about what happened last night after he left to drop Jaide back home. And honestly, I'm glad he doesn't because I'm just going to try my hardest to forget any of it ever happened.

"Yep" I said, trying to sound happy and cover up the fact that I was low-key worried about where we were about to be going. Now I don't get anxious about the places we go to very often, but where we're about to be investigating... I have heard ALOT about, so I already had a fair idea about the possibilities that could occur in that facility while we're there.

Instinctively, I followed behind the boys as we all left the house and went to situate ourselves and our bags into the car. As usual I sat in the back with Wyatt while River drove and his twin brother sat beside him in the passenger seat.

"Well I don't know about you fuckers, but I wanna listen to some music" I stated as I leaned over the cars glove box and reached over to turn the radio on. The boys laughter filled the car due to my determination. After successfully turning the radio on I sat back in my seat and let out a pleased smile.

"Here ya psycho, put some beats on" Ryan sarcastically commented while handing me his phone. I gave him a proud chuckle and accepted the offer. I already knew what I wanted to listen to, so with that I began putting on some $uicideBoy$ and just let Ryan's Spotify play through the album.

- Arriving at the Waverly hills sanatorium -

Unlike our night time drives, I actually stayed up for the entire trip to Waverly hills, but that could of also been because of my awareness on tonights upcoming event.

"What's up bitches?!" Ryan shouted out from his window to Josh and Seth who were both sitting on the bonnet of Josh's car, chatting amongst themselves. River smoothly parked the car beside the two boys and just sat there for a moment. He seemed as though he too was trying to mentally and physically prepare himself for tonight.

My attention on River broke as I started to hear Seth and Josh's loud celebratory chants about the fact that we were here now. Josh happily greeted Ryan at his window, while Seth on the other hand scared the shit out of me by loudly pressing his body against my window and waving vigorously at Wyatt and I in the back. Wyatt and I both kindly waved back at him, and I tried to pretend that I didn't just get the life scared out of me.

As Ryan was the first to step out of the car, the rest of us followed suite. After properly greeting with the two boys the twins then began to unpack all of our equipment and firstly head inside before filming our intro outside of the building. Wyatt and I of course offered to help carry some of the bags inside too.

"Alright we all ready to start filming?" Ryan openly asked us after putting the last bag of our belongings down. Seth and Josh had already begun filming for their channel, so once they were on their way to their chosen spots within the sanatorium the boys and I started making our way out to the front of the building to start filming our intro.

Once we were all infront of the ginormous facility I take notice on just how magnificent this place looked. I've always found beauty within abandoned buildings, I don't know why but there is just something so hauntingly beautiful about abandoned places. After admiring where we were going to be investigating for the rest of the night I turned back to the boys and prepared for the intro.

Once Ryan was done explaining what we were all going to be doing for the night to the camera he turned to us with the camera in his hand, and like we usually do before every investigation we all put our hands together and began shouting out the silly chant we had all agreed to come up with before the investigation. We all shared our childish laughs amongst one another before stopping the camera and heading back inside.

"Gosh I hope I don't die tonight" I over exaggerated under my breath as I re-entered the building again.

"I'm with you on that one y/n" River chuckled in agreement. I looked up at him and gave him a sincere smile. I'm not gonna lie I didn't expect River to reply back on my little comment. To be completely honest him and I haven't spoken since last night's incident. Just thinking about it embarrasses the hell out of me. But I'm just glad him and I can still carry out a conversation without it being awkward.

I stood beside River as Ryan gave Wyatt and his brother the signal to start filming.

"We are calling out to the thousands of bodies of spirits in Waverly Hills" Ryan began his open announcement to any entity that could be in the building. He states aloud exactly where we were within the building and the reason why we came. After that he begins to introduce himself, instinctively we said our names aloud one by one after Ryan.

"If there is anybody here if you could give us a sign we have all these devices that are glowing lights, if you see any red lights, blue lights or any toy please walk up to it use your energy make one of these devices buzz or light up" Ryan instructed out loud. Immediately after that we all heard what sounded like a distant hum, causing us all to ask one another if it was any us, it was not. Just then our music box starts to go off, making us all stand and watch in disbelief.

"Thank you" River says out loud, disbelief corrupting tone. As he said that our REM pod that was closest to Ryan went off, causing Ryan to yelp a little and jump back towards us. While this was all happening we realize that the music box never stopped so Ryan went over to it and turned it off for now.

"We have this device here that allows you to use a word, whether it's one word or a whole sentence" he then begins to explain while holding his phone up that had Spirit Talking going.

Wyatt then begins to explain out loud the story behind one of the rooms within the building, room 502. As he finished telling us Ryan's phone goes off.

"I know"

We all exclaim in disbelief, rapidly turning and looking at each other.

"Hi" Ryan greeted aloud to whatever spirit was in here with us. Immediately, the music box starts playing again.

"There's no interference what so ever" he stated, trying to wrap his head around what the hell was going on right now.

"She scares me"

Yet again, we freak out a little from the response.

"Are there children up here too... is that who's scared of the woman?" Ryan asked aloud.

"Do you guys get that weird feeling like somebody is just watching us from a distance?" He turned to us and anxiously smiled.

"Yup..." is all I say in response, trying to keep my posture the entire time and not show any fear.

"If there's a child here how old are you, can you give us a number?" Ryan goes on to ask any spirits that could be around.

"It's beautiful here"

"I'm a child"

Both of the twins phone's go off at the same time.

"Woah what the fuck, at the same time" Wyatt exclaimed. We all approached the phones that were propped up on the abandoned windowsill to see what they both said. Ryan freaked out the most after seeing his phone has said "I'm a child".

"If they're saying it's beautiful here they must be seeing something totally different than what we're seeing right now, they've probably not seen the empty body of this place, they're probably seeing what it use to look like" Ryan tried to explain to us. As he went to speak again one of the phones went off again.

"His voice"

"Yeah cause we were just hearing voices back there" Ryan pointed behind him.

"If there is a child here can you make that music go off again, just so we're sure that you understand what we're saying"

"Pain"

"This is like a place where so many people were in pain.." Ryan said in a low tone.

"I can't protect you"

Instinctively, we all gasped from this creepy response.

"From the woman?" Ryan suggested.

"Or the doctor?" Wyatt also suggested.

"One of the children said she scares me, are we getting close to the true story?" Ryan calmly asked aloud.

"Vikki"

"Is that the name of the nurse?" Wyatt quietly asked.

"Closer"

"You just asked are we getting closer!" River stated to his brother in disbelief.

"Died"

"Dude they're giving us the information about the woman!" Ryan screeches in pure excitement.

"What if they're talking about room 502, like getting closer to where I died, I died in 502?" River openly suggested. All of us took his suggestion into deep consideration for a moment.

"Misinterpreting me"

"Okay so maybe the child is trying to tell us information about her, but now she's telling us that that's wrong" Ryan tried to guess.

Just then our music box begins to play again, catching all of our attention.

"Thank you, dude what is going on here!?" Ryan exclaimed.

"Beverly"

That word instantly reminded us of when we were doing our comedic little chant in our intro.

"There's life after death"

Ryan freaked out yet again, causing me to jump on the spot and quickly huddle closer to Riv.

"Dude we were just talking about this!" Ryan confirmed.

"There is no way this shit is happening right now" Riv commented.

"Would it be okay with you if we went where the woman, the nurse had died?" Ryan politely asked aloud.

Like usual we all waited in deafening silence, waiting for any kind of response back.

"Purple hair"

Immediately we all turned to Ryan, who was the only one in the group with purple hair.

"Can you even see my purple?" He quickly asked in shock. We all said yes.

"So you want me to go in room 502?" He asks the spirits.

"You guys want me to do an EVP for real?" He turned back to us.

"If you want too" I kindly responded back to him. And with that Ryan immediately went to grab the EVP.
