Nearly a thousand Rage Howlers lay sprawled across the ground, their eyes void of light.
A mountain of corpses.
Thick, dark red blood soaked the vast floor of the cavern without leaving a single patch dry.
The deafening noise had faded into silence.
âPhewââ
Standing amidst that sea of blood and bodies, I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly.
âHaaââ
This was a process of refinementâto pull my senses back to reality from the unconscious trance I had fallen into.
As I locked away the adrenaline that had been flooding my system, an overwhelming wave of emptiness and fatigue crashed down on my body all at once.
Stumbleâ
I steadied myself, pressing a hand against my forehead and curling my lips into a bitter smile.
âDamn it, no matter how many times I go through this, I just canât get used to this feeling.â
â Jin Yu-haâ¦
âHm?â@@novelbin@@
â Youâre back.
âBack? What do you mean? Wasnât I acting the same as usual?â
â â¦U-Usual, yes. Well. I mean⦠Sure, you could say that.
I could hear the flustered tone in Shin Se-heeâs voice.
âDid I look that different to her?â
Ah. That might be it.
I had clearly moved in ways that shouldnât have been possible under normal conditions,
and my strength had undoubtedly exceeded its limits.
