With Sophia's healing arrows hitting us regularly as we walked, we followed the trail of footprints. The constant feeling of arrows hitting us while moving was a bit strange.

I glanced back.

“Hehe, doesn’t it feel like getting a shot?” Sophia grinned innocently.

Eventually, we reached an open area, a clearing surrounded by white trees and filled with white statues, giving the place an aura reminiscent of a sacred temple. One statue lay reclining on a pedestal, head propped as if in slumber, while six other statues, armed with various weapons, stood around it as if on guard.

The party members, initially enchanted by the surreal sight, soon noticed piles of wounded bodies scattered around the clearing, and gasped.@@novelbin@@

Bright red blood had pooled over the white dust that coated the ground.
