The Sword Sovereign, who had been quietly watching Baek Seol-hee, suddenly knelt before her and pressed her forehead to the ground.
"It was my fault."

Baek Seol-hee's gaze was cold as she looked at the Sword Sovereign.
"You need to explain why you put my disciple in such danger. If you donâtâ¦"
Baek Seol-heeâs voice trailed off as her eyes darkened. The Sword Sovereign, still bowing, began to speak.
"The purpose of this training wasâ"
"I know what the training was meant to accomplish. What Iâm asking is why you didnât intervene to save my disciple at the last moment."
The intention of the training was clear: to instill a fear of death.
But what truly bothered Baek Seol-hee was why, despite the dangerous nature of the training, the Sword Sovereign hadnât stepped in to ensure Jin Yoo-haâs safety. If this wasnât explained to her satisfaction, Baek Seol-hee was prepared to engage in a life-or-death battle with the Sword Sovereign.

The Sword Sovereign hesitated before speaking.
