Lysanderâs voice echoed with a tinge of urgency through the phone, âYour momâs gone missing. Iâm on the hunt for her now.ââ
Over time and through tender moments, Lysander had come to understand the deep bond between Thalassa and the children. The mere thought of anything happening to her would send ripples of worry through their little hearts.
Atticus, sharp as a tack, keeping him in the dark would only fuel his fears.
Without sugarcoating the truth, Lysander broke the news of Thalassaâs disappearance to Atticus.
âWhat? Momâs gone missing!â Atticus gasped.
The other three tots, lured by his voice, toddled out of the playroom, gathering around Atticus, their young, inquisitive voices peppering him with questions.
âWhat do you mean Momâs gone? Where did she go?â Dorian asked, his large, doe-like eyes wide with confusion.
âIsnât Mom gonna tuck us in tonight? Waaah, I want my mommy,â Elowen whimpered, tears welling up in her eyes.
âMommyâ¦â Sophiaâs voice was a faint whisper, her lips quivering, on the brink of tears.
The sounds of the childrenâs voices, with the girls on the verge of crying, reached Lysander through the phone. He could feel the tension gripping the little ones.
Lysander pinched the bridge of his nose, his deep voice steadying, âCan we trace her location now?â
Jolted by the gravity of the situation, Atticus snapped to attention, âIâm on it right now.â
âLet me know once you have the location,â Lysander instructed.
âI will, Dad!â Atticus assured before hanging up and dashing to his room.
The three younger children exchanged a look of silent understanding and scurried after Atticus, their chubby legs carrying them like a trio of determined little penguins, adorably earnest in their mission.
Once the call ended, Lysander boarded the chopper.
Back in the toy-strewn playroom, Atticus was furiously tapping away on a tablet, his youthful face etched with concentration, his brow furrowed in a serious little knot.
Dorian, Elowen, and Sophia watched him intently, their big, innocent eyes filled with hope and anxiety.
Their motherâs safety was at stake, and none dared to make a careless move.
Atticus, who knew Thalassaâs phone number by heart as he did her credit card number, swiftly entered it into a special interface on the tablet.
A tap, a search, and the device began its work.
Soon, a location popped up.
âMomâs here!â Atticus exclaimed with a light in his eyes, spotting the precise location on the screen.
âWhere, where?â the trio of heads leaned in, curious and anxious.
Unfortunately, the mapâs cryptic symbols eluded them. They recognized the red dot but not its meaning or how to get there.
âIâll send it to Dad right away. Heâll find Mom,â Atticus assured them.
âHurry, Dad will definitely bring Mom back,â Dorian said, lifting his gaze to Atticus with urgency.
Atticusâ small fingers danced across the tablet screen.
Meanwhile, Lysander, aboard the helicopter and out of signal range, remained unaware of the incoming information.
An hour later, the helicopter landed atop the Sinclair Groupâs building. Lysander descended, checked his phone, and saw Atticusâ message with the location.
Acknowledging the message, Lysander quickly accessed the map.
Ten minutes later, a helicopter and a sleek black sedan surrounded VivaLuxe Club.
With a commanding presence, Lysander led his team into the club, his demeanor icy and formidable.
The patrons and staff, witnessing the formidable entourage, recoiled to clear a path.
Hearing the commotion, the clubâs manager approached and saw the intense, brooding mien of Lysander Sinclair, surrounded by 08:181 a tangible aura of authority that caused the managerâs legs to tremble with fear.
But as the manager of VivaLuxe Club, he had to face the music, fear or no fear.
âMr. Sinclair, welcome. Would you like a private room, orâ¦â
âOut of the way!â
Before the manager could finish, a bodyguard slapped his hand away, shoving him aside.
Lysander strode past, his presence cutting through the air like a knife, sending shivers down the managerâs spine.
