She glanced at Isabella and her mom and said, “Alright, I don’t want to waste any more time. You guys need to scram.”

Isabella’s mom mumbled under her breath, turning around to help Isabella get into the car.

Isabella, however, said, “Mom, you go ahead. I know Leopold pretty well. We’re on good terms. I want to grab a bite with him and Thalassa.”

Leopold immediately showed his distaste. “Just get lost. I don’t want to eat with you.”

Isabella didn’t look back, giving her mom a signal with her eyes.

Her mom immediately got the hint. “Well, if he’s a friend of, yours, you should catch up. I’ll get going then.”

Then she quickly instructed the driver to drive off.

After the car drove off, Isabella, Jeaning on her crutch, turned around. Facing Leopold and Thalassa, she said with a smile, “Who would’ve thought that the three of us together again after five years? I miss that night from five years ago.”

Leopold was taken aback, shooting Isabella a warning look, signaling her to shut up, and then anxiously looked at Thalassa.

Thalassa’s face was grim and unattractive.

Isabella’s words made Thalassa feel like she just swallowed a fly, she was feeling uneasy.

That night five years ago was the nightmare of her life. She was betrayed and her reputation was ruined.

All of this was Isabella’s fault, and she even said she missed that night!

Thinking about what had happened between Isabella and Leopold, she got goosebumps all over her body, “You two can reminisce on your own. I’m not sticking around!”

Then she turned and left.

“Thalassa.” Leopold quickly followed.

Isabella also followed behind with her crutch, “Wait for me, you guys misunderstood me.”

Thalassa didn’t have time to argue with them. She just wanted to go back to her four adorable kids.

Being with this pair only made her feel uncomfortable and wasted her time.

Knowing Leopold was behind her, Thalassa quickened her steps and raised her voice, “Your clothes are dry. I’ll bring them over later. Stop following me!”

A cab came by. She waved it down and hopped in.

Leopold chased after her, trying to get in as well, but Thalassa was faster and closed the door first.

Leopold almost got his nose slammed in the door.

“Thalassa, get out. I can explain.” Leopold was anxious, knocking on the car door.

He didn’t want Thalassa to continue misunderstanding him and Isabella.

“No need to explain. It’s not necessary.” Thalassa responded and told the driver to drive off.

As the car drove away, Leopold chased after it for a few steps, only to watch it get farther and farther away.

At this time, Isabella came over with her crutch and stood next to Leopold, still with the same gentle expression as before, “Leopold, it’s been five years. You’ve become more manly.”

Leopold turned his head, glaring at her with disgust and anger, “Stay away from me!

He quickly walked towards his own car, completely ignoring Isabella.

“Leopold, do you know what Thalassa has been through these past five years? Has she been with other men after you left? I know all of this. If you want to know, I can tell you!” Isabella made an enticing offer to Leopold’s retreating figure.
