They were warm and solid to the touch, and a surge of masculine energy traveled from his hand to her heart.
Thalassaâs heart pounded so hard that it felt like there was a bouncing ball inside her chest. She was fu ll of panic, fear, anxiety, and dread She feared that the incident from five years ago might happen again.
She couldnât push him away, so she bit down hard on his lips.
*Ouch!â
Lysander groaned in pain, released her, and looked up to see her lips swollen from the kiss and glisteni ng with saliva.
Her big, clear eyes were filled with tears, making her look pitiful and softly feminine.
This made him want to protect her even more..
Thalassaâs eyes were filled with panic as she tried to back away, wanting to keep her distance from Lys ander.
However, his arm tightened around her shoulders, and his grip was very strong. She couldnât move, mu ch less step back.
After struggling for a bit, she lifted her eyes and glared at him, âLysander, let me go! Why did you barge into my room in the middle of the night? You know doing this to me is illegal, right?â
How dare he force himself on her without her consent?!
Lysander lifted his other hand as his thumb lightly brushed over his lips. His thumb was stained with fre sh blood.
She had bitten his lip!
This woman was ruthless and, for some reason, had a habit of biting him.
His eyes reflect the blood on his fingertips, making him look like a demon.
He smirked, his voice deep, âGet it straight; this is my room, and youâre sleeping in my bed. Wasnât that your plan?â
âAndâ¦â He looked at her coldly. âJust now, you were the one hugging my thigh and kissing me.â
Thalassa was shocked, and her eyes widened.
While remembering her dream, she finally realized what happened.
She wasnât hugging Elowen, but Lysanderâs thigh!
No wonder it felt off.
She opened her eyes wide. She was panicked and embarrassed, so she tried to pry his hands off her s houlders, hoping to push him away and run.
She laughed awkwardly to distract him, âHaha, I was dreaming; I didnât know that was your thigh. And t his room, Sybil told me to stay here. I didnât know it was your room; Iâll leave now, right now!â
Lysander saw through her little scheme.
Was she trying to run away?
No chance.
He pulled her closer, holding her like a plush toy. His deep voice echoed above her head, âWhere do yo u think youâre going? You started this fire, so you need to put it out. Those are the rules, got it?â
Thalassaâs face was pressed against his firm body. Feeling the muscles on his abdomen made her fac e turn red.
âIâm just a simple girl. I donât understand your rules. Youâre generous, carefree, fair, and selfless, so ple ase let me go.â
Lysander raised an eyebrow. This woman was so straightforward.
Unlike the daughters of noble families, whose every move looked like it was copied and pasted. This w oman was much more interesting than those elegant, noble, and aristocratic women.
Lysander chuckled, âWhat kind of âsimple girlâ are you?â
âI am⦠Thalassa was about to speak.
Just then, there was a gentle knock on the door, and someone walked in.
