Evelyn wanted to push further, but Astrid stopped her, âEvelyn, cut it out, canât you see Thalassa is not okay? Give her some space.â
Astrid was pretty sensitive. She noticed Thalassaâs watery eyes when she came back, clearly sheâd been crying.
Even though Thalassa was wearing a suit, it was unbuttoned, revealing a tank top underneath. Her jacket and shirt were nowhere to be found. It was clear that Thalassa got back home in a state of shock. She only started to smile after interacting a bit with the kids.
Astrid could tell that Thalassa was just trying to keep it together when she got home. Seeing the kids being their usual lively selves gave her some strength.
Thalassa had always been tough and optimistic. She wouldnât cry unless she was hit really hard. This time, instead of responding to Evelynâs nagging, she rushed to hug the kids. She needed to mend her broken heart.
Evelyn didnât pick up on Thalassas change and kept pressing her, but Astrid, Thalassaâs aunt, couldnât bear to see this.
Evelyn stopped, looking at Astrid in surprise, âWhat happened to her? Did she break up with her boyfriend?â
At that thought, Evelynâs heart sank, feeling a chill. âOh my, Mr. Sinclair is so great, so perfect, and she actually broke up with him. She really doesnât know what sheâs got,â Evelyn slapped her thigh as though shed lost a fortune.
Even though Thalassa never admitted that Lysander was her boyfriend and said she would clarify when she got back, Evelyn still firmly believed that Lysander was Thalassaâs boyfriend. Sheâd always hoped Lysander could be Thalassaâs boyfriend. Such a great and handsome man was hard to come by.
Hearing Evelynâs words, Astrid just shook her head without saying anything.
After a while, Thalassa came out of the shower wearing her pajamas, and was about to wash her black suit on the balcony.
Evelyn stopped her, âThalassa, go play with the kids for a bit. They havenât seen you in a couple of days, they miss you. Iâll wash the clothes.â
Before Thalassa could respond. Evelyn took the suit from her.
âBe gentle with It, donât ruin it,â Thalassa instructed.
âGot it,â replied Evelyn.
Without saying anything else, Thalassa returned to the couch, smiling warmly, âDorian, are you playing with blocks? Elowen, are you -playing with your doll?â
âMama, Dorian built a castle for my Elsa doll to live in,â Elowen explained to Thalassa with her little head tilted and braids swaying, her face full of seriousness.
âWell, I see, youâre playing a princess and prince game, can I join?â Thalassa asked with a bright smile.
âSure, Mama, this one is your prince, Elowen handed another plush toy to Thalassa.
She happily accepted the chubby blue plushie and joined the kidsâ game.
Elowen made her doll walk to the chubby blue plushie and asked, âHello, Iâm Princess Thalassa, are you Prince Lysander?â
They were talking about Elsa and her prince just now, werenât they?
