Trey barely slept last night. Every time he closed his eyes, all he could feel was Zay's hands gripping his hoodie, Zay's mouth on his, the way that nigga fit against him like he belonged there.

Shit don't make no sense.

He been sitting on the edge of his bed for damn near an hour, elbows on his knees, staring at the floor like it got answers. He told himself last night he needed to think, but what the fuck is there to think about?

It happened. Twice.

And the wildest part? It ain't even feel wrong.

His phone buzz on the nightstand. He don't even gotta check to know who it is.

Zay: Wake up, nigga.

Trey sighs, rubbing a hand down his face before picking up his phone.

Trey: Been up.

Zay: Aight bet. Open the door.

Trey frowns, glancing toward his bedroom door like he can see through the walls. Ain't no way this nigga pulled up again.

He gets up, running a hand over his head before heading to the front door. He pulls it open, and sure enough, Zay's standing there in a hoodie and sweats, looking way too comfortable for somebody who ain't supposed to be here.

Trey squints at him. "Nigga, you don't call first?"

Zay smirks, stepping past him like he own the place. "I did call. You answered."

Trey exhales slow, locking the door. "What you want, Zay?"

Zay turns, pulling his hood down, his locs falling over his forehead. "You."

Trey's whole body tenses. "Man, chill with that-"

"Nah, fuck that." Zay folds his arms, looking up at Trey. "You kissed me back, nigga. Twice."

Trey grits his teeth. "I ain't say I didn't."

"Aight then." Zay tilts his head. "So what we doin'?"

Trey don't got an answer for that. He don't even know what they doing. All he know is his body ain't reacted how it was supposed to. His brain was screamin' at him to push Zay off, but his hands? His hands grabbed onto him like he ain't wanna let go.

Zay steps in closer, looking up at Trey with that same cocky-ass expression. "You scared?"

Trey scoffs. "Nigga, I ain't scared."

Zay smirks. "Then why you runnin' from me?"

Trey don't realize how tense his jaw is until he unclenches it. "I ain't runnin'."

Zay hums, like he don't believe that for a second. "Aight." He steps back, dropping onto the couch like he belong there. "So we cool?"

Trey crosses his arms. "Define cool."

Zay grins. "Nigga, don't play dumb. I ain't expect you to be all lovey-dovey n' shit, but if I hit you up, you still gon' answer?"

Trey exhales slow. "Yeah."

Zay nods like that's all he needed to hear. He leans back, legs spread, looking real comfortable. "Good. Now roll up."

Trey glares. "Nigga, you invited yourself over and now you makin' demands?"

Zay lifts a shoulder. "Shit, if I knew you was gon' be actin' brand new, I woulda brought my own."

Trey sucks his teeth but heads to the kitchen to grab his stash anyway. He don't even know why he entertaining this nigga, but at this point? He done already lost.

And if he bein' real with himself?

He don't even feel like fightin' it no more.
