Chapter 13 - Ain't No Undoing That

Ghetto love762 words~4 min read

Trey been pacing his damn living room for the last fifteen minutes, jaw tight, mind racing. His lips still feel warm from that kiss, and it's pissing him off. He shoulda never let that shit happen.

He ain't supposed to be kissin' no nigga. He ain't supposed to be kissin' Zay.

Zay got him twisted, got his head all fucked up, and Trey don't like it. Not one bit.

His phone buzz.

Zay: You good?

Trey stops pacing, looking at the screen like it just disrespected him.

Nigga really textin' like shit normal? Like they ain't just cross a line that can't be uncrossed?

Trey types out a reply.

Trey: Don't text me.

A few seconds later, another buzz.

Zay: Lmao. That's cute.

Trey tightens his grip on his phone, chest tight. He should block this nigga. That'd be the smart thing to do. But his dumb ass just stands there, staring at the screen, like he waitin' on somethin' else.

And then-

Zay: Open your door.

Trey's stomach drops.

"Ain't no way," he mutters, walking over to the peephole. Sure enough, Zay's standing outside like he own the damn place, hood up, hands in his pockets, lookin' real unfazed.

Trey pulls the door open with way too much force. "Nigga, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

Zay steps inside like he was invited. "Damn, that's how you greet guests? You ain't got no hospitality?"

Trey slams the door shut, looking down at Zay with a glare. "You got me fucked up, Zay. You don't pull up to niggas' cribs unannounced."

Zay smirks, dropping his hood. "Oh, my bad. I thought after last night, I had privileges."

Trey exhales sharply through his nose, hands on his hips. "Ain't no privileges, nigga."

Zay tilts his head, stepping in closer. He gotta look up a little, which only makes that cocky smirk on his face more irritating. "Oh yeah? So we just gon' act like that kiss ain't happen?"

Trey glares. "It ain't happen."

Zay chuckles low, like he knew Trey was gon' say that. He takes another step, close enough that Trey gotta fight the urge to move back.

"Aight then," Zay murmurs. "Let's test that."

Trey don't get a chance to react before Zay grips the front of his hoodie and pulls him in. Their mouths crash together again, but this time it ain't as rushed, ain't as wild. This time, Zay takin' his time, like he tryna prove a point.

And the fucked up part?

Trey don't push him away.

He should. His body should react-shove Zay off, throw a punch, something. But instead, his hands drop to Zay's waist, gripping his hips firm, pulling him in like he belong there.

Zay deepens the kiss, tongue sliding against Trey's like he been waitin' to do this. His fingers curl into Trey's hoodie, gripping it tight, his smaller frame pressing up against Trey's like he don't care about the height difference.

Trey don't think about it. He just reacts, hands tightening on Zay's waist, pressing him closer, letting himself sink into it. The way Zay fit against him feel too natural, like they done this before.

And then, just as quick as it started, Zay pulls back, lips still brushing against Trey's.

"Say that shit ain't happen now," Zay murmurs, voice low and full of heat.

Trey's breath is uneven, his heart poundin' against his ribs. He knows Zay waitin' on an answer, waitin' on Trey to deny this again, but he can't even get his mouth to work right.

Zay smirks. "Yeah. That's what I thought."

Trey finally snaps out of it, shoving Zay back a little-not too hard, but enough. "Man, you play too damn much."

Zay licks his lips, eyes locked on Trey's. "You wasn't actin' like I was playin' just now."

Trey runs a hand over his face, frustration bubbling in his chest. "Nigga, I don't even know what the fuck this is."

Zay leans against the counter, watching him. "It's whatever you want it to be."

Trey stares at him, searching for any sign that this is a joke, some game Zay playin' just to mess with him. But all he see is confidence. That same cocky-ass energy, but mixed with something else-something that feel real.

Too real.

"I gotta think," Trey mutters, backing up toward the hallway.

Zay nods like he ain't surprised. "Aight. Do that."

Trey hesitates for a second before turning and heading to his room, closing the door behind him. He leans against it, exhaling slow.

Ain't no undoing that shit now.
