âDraco? He didnât come home for Christmas. Of course, I spoke to him before.â Sherlock folded his hands and stared straight at them.
âWhy are you asking me about this?â
Hermione avoided his gaze, âWeâre just curious about it. You know, people like Draco are usually not very likable. Have you given him any greetings or blessings lately?â
When Hermione was asking this, neither Harry nor Ron saw Sherlockâs eyes. They couldnât help but cover up their ears. Sherlock raised his eyebrows. He didnât understand why Hermione asked him this question for a while.
âGreetings or blessings? Does punishing him for cleaning the toilet count?â
He suddenly seemed to want to understand something, and his eyes gradually narrowed, âDo you suspect that I am the culprit behind all of this?â
Hermione, Harry, and Ron laughed and looked at each other, âHow can we do that? Weâre just curious, thatâs all.â
âYes, we are just curious. We donât have any other purpose.â
âDonât misunderstand us, professor. We have absolute trust in you.â
Sherlock glanced at them, âReally? Do you want to clean the toilet as well?â
The three waved their hands back and forth, âNo, professor, thank you very much for the offer.â
âI suddenly remembered that we hadnât had dinner yet. Letâs go to the Hall for dinner. Bye, professor!â
Seeing their backs fleeing in a hurry, Sherlock pondered, âWell, this is suspicious; what are these children doing?â
After he experienced the scene when Harry and others questioned him, Snape brought Lucius Malfoy to Hogwarts. In Dumbledoreâs office, Sherlock folded his arms, leaning against the wall covered with portraits of previous headmasters, silently watching the scene in front of him.
When Lucius was brought to Hogwarts by Snape, his entire face was as dark.
After walking into the office and seeing Dumbledore sitting on the seat quietly waiting for him, he couldnât bear it any longer. His two clenched fists were shaking, but he suppressed it.
He asked in a cold voice, âI handed over my child to Hogwarts, and you, Dumbledore, did not put up a good work on protecting the children.â
It can be seen that his emotions are not faked but are really nervous and anxious, as if he is worried and fearful about something. Dumbledore crossed his hands and placed them on the desk. He stared blankly at Luciusâ face, unable to feel he was in right now from his voice.
âOf course, Hogwarts will protect the safety of the children, but the professors in this castle, including me, are not gods. There are some things we really canât predict.â
âAnd you are telling me this now? My sonâs life condition is unknown now. Do you even know what this means to you?â Luciusâ eyes seemed to pop out, and they stared at Dumbledore.
âIâm going to tell this to everyone and let the school board vote you off from Hogwarts!â
As soon as he said his words, Sherlock could clearly feel both Professor McGonagall and Snape tense up. Obviously, they were a little nervous, thinking that Lucius would really do what he said.
However, Dumbledore remained calm. He leaned back in the chair and said relaxedly, âOf course, given your authority, you can do that, but would you?â
Luciusâ eyes were red. His gaze was still fixed on Dumbledore, but his clenched teeth slowly, and his voice was no longer a questioning tone.
âYou know I wonât. If you canât solve whatâs happening at Hogwarts, we know where this is heading.â
Dumbledoreâs eyes were solemn, and he looked at Lucius, âNow is not the time for those disputes, Lucius. You should know what the most important thing is now. There is your son among those students lying in the school infirmary.â
Lucius was silent. He stood quietly in the same place as if hesitating and thinking. This talk is interesting, and Sherlock also took time out to play with the Phoenix, who was standing on the golden branch.
However, the Phoenix had no interest in him and was unmoved by Sherlockâs hand. He raised his head and looked at him with cold eyes as if it was saying, âStupid human.â
About five minutes passed, and Lucius seemed to have finally made up his mind. He was no longer angry, and when he spoke again, his tone suddenly softened.
âI only have him, Dumbledore. Neither Narcissa nor I can lose him, please.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Snape and Professor McGonagall were all stunned by Luciusâ words at this time. They had never seen this person showing such behavior. But Dumbledore seemed to have expected this; he stood up from his chair and stared at Lucius.
âHeâs a Hogwarts student, and Iâll try to save him without you telling me. But I want to know if there is any way to end this. Or is there anything you want to say to me, Lucius?â
âHow could I know about these things in Hogwarts?â Luciusâ voice grew louder.
âI mean, maybe you can tell us something of value?â Dumbledore was unmoved.
He was silent again. However, the silence was not long this time, but Sherlock could clearly see that Lucius experienced a mental struggle that was even more difficult to decide than just now.
Ultimately, he seemed to force the words out of his mouth.
âThe youngest girl in the Weasley family, she has something with her.â
Dumbledoreâs brows relaxed, and Professor McGonagall looked at Lucius in disbelief. Although Snape didnât act as fiercely as she did, he had almost the same gaze.
âCan you please call Miss Ginny Weasley from Gryffindor, Phineas?â
