Wenxu Jiang was really busy. He planned to stay at home with Zhishu He, but he answered
When Wenxu Jiang hung up the secretaryâs phone, he reached out and closed up the collar of Zhishuâs downy pajamas. Then he fed him a spoonful of porridge, âWarm your stomach, and then lie down. Iâll accompany you to have a good rest.â
Zhishu sat quietly, having the porridge. Before he said something, Wenxu Jiangâs phone rang again.
Wenxu Jiang put down the bowl to pick up his cell phone, but his face turned extremely gloomy when he saw the caller display. He hung up the phone directly and shut it down. Then he looked up at Zhishu with a smile, âIâm sorry to bother you with the trifles of the company since I promised to accompany you.â
Zhishu pretended that he didnât see the callerâs name Shen, which was short but annoying.
Wenxu Jiang was absolutely not in a good mood now. In fact, he was so angry that he wanted to kill Zui Shen. Wenxu Jiang preferred Zui Shenâs tactful character except his pretty face at the beginning. Zui Shen looked happy every time Wenxu called him and never play tricks or lost his temper because of feeling left out. Zui Shenâs smile was little silly but warm. Wenxu Jiang really had an affection for him so Zui Shen could stay with him for more than two years.
But now, Wenxu Jiang felt bored with Zui Shen. In France, Zui Shen interrupted Jiangâs call even he knew that was from Zhishu. This time, Wenxu had shut down the special number for Zui Shen; Zui Shen should have known that Wenxu Jiang didnât want to contact him, but Zui Shen still dialed this number. Did Shen want to track Wenxu Jiang? It was crazy to do that. Shen might as well consider his weight in the heart of Wenxu Jiang. He thought Wenxu Jiang cared about him and wanted to be the formal spouse of Jiang after years of company. Wenxu Jiang didnât mind Zui Shen secretly learnt the behaviors and habits of Zhishu. Sometimes he looked at these little habits and even indulged in enjoyment when missing Zhishu. But Wenxu Jiang couldnât allow things that even Zhishu didnât do were done by Zui Shen.
âWould you like some?â The voice of Zhishu made Jiang Wenxu suddenly earth to himself. His soft tone was somewhat weak and husky.
Wenxu Jiang shook his head and fed the remaining half bowl of porridge to Zhishu, âWhere do you want to go? After New Yearâs Day, I have a week time to spare.â
Zhishu wrinkled his delicate brow, looking sideways at Wenxu Jiang, like a kitten trying to rub itself against ownerâs leg in a spoiled manner, âTravel is tiring.â
Wenxuâs heart was heavily touched and melted. He threw the spoon, pressed Zhishu at the back of the chair and gave Zhishu a long French kiss till his mouth was full of sweet smell of porridge. âZhishu⦠Zhishuâ¦â Wenxu Jiang muttered his name several times, and suddenly realized that the lovers outside were meaningless and the most desirable one was still Zhishu He.
Zhishuâs body was softened by this kiss. He was somewhat confused by Wenxu Jiangâs behavior. Zhishu He thought that Wenxu Jiang was like an emperor who suddenly realized he should dote on all his wives in the palace, and now it was his turn.
âWenxu Jiang...âZhishu escaped a kiss on his lips. His eyes were a little dull, âYour mother told me that our relationship couldnât survive thirty years old.â
Wenxu Jiang was stunned. These things were too harsh to both of them. He did not know why Zhishi suddenly mentioned this. But he comforted Zhishu casually, âYouâre thirty and Iâm thirty-one years old this year. We did survive it, didnât we?â
Zhishu burst into tears. He grasped Wenxuâs shirt and his thin shoulders trembled sharply. He said, âYes, we survived it. In order to prove that your mother is wrong, I will try my best to survive 30 years oldâ¦â
Zhishu He seldom cried in front of Wenxu Jiang. He was tender, but he bore much in these years. In fact, he was often bullied to cry in bed by Wenxu Jiang. Zhishu knew that there was a streak of? sadism in Wenxu Jiangâs nature, and he could not satisfy Jiang. When he cried, Wenxu wouldnât go on. Later, Wenxu Jiang became more and more gentle in bed and finally chose to be wild in other peopleâs beds.
Wenxu Jiang didnât know what Zhishu was crying about, and his heart was almost broken upon Zhishuâs tears. He did not know that Zhishu was crying for them. One with deep love was short-lived while the other was promiscuous.
He was weeping for their love of fourteen years turned sour.
When they were in high school. One day, after classes were over, Wenxu Jiang gave a note to Zhishu He. He asked, âDo you know how it feels to like someone very much?â
When Wenxu Jiang was young, he did not use the word âloveâ easily, but he loved Zhishu He much more than any time.
That night, Zhishu held the note in his hand and thought about the question all night. Finally, he thought of Huang Biyun (a female writer of Hong Kong)âs sentence that love made people tolerant and silent without complaint and sadness.
This answer had been weighed and considered in Zhishuâs mind for thousands of times for more than ten years, but it had not been given to Wenxu Jiang. As if in Zhishuâs heart, love would fade away with words. The more he cared about, the faster he lost.
But eventually love would be lost.
Zhishu cried hard and got sleepy in the end. When he finally slept in Wenxuâs arms, he seemed to smell the fragrance of jasmine fourteen years ago.
