"You ok?" I jumped when I seen someone come out into the dark.

"I'm fine." I shivered.

"You sure?" I nodded. "Those reading drain you?" I eyed her up.

"You mean those dumb cards that don't mean anything?"

"I didn't want her to worry, I know they mean something."

"So do you have plans to dumb her?"

"Were not together I wish people would stop saying that." She said angry.

"Sorry."

"No." She sighed. "I'm sorry." We stayed quiet for a few minuets then I shivered again. "Here." She pulled off her jacket and laid it over my shoulders.

"Your going to be cold."

"I'm ok." She said. "Is Viv short for Vivian?" She asked.

"What's E short for?" I questioned.

"Vivan is a old name."

"Whats E short for." I repeated.

"I like it though." She said to her own conversation. "Your not gay are you?"

"Vivian Maier."

"What?" She asked.

"That's who I'm named after- she's a-"

"American photographer." I pulled my eyebrows togeather.

"What." I didn't really ask.

"She died in '09."

"How the fuck do you know her?"

"I like art."

"Ok... but I've never met anyone who knew her before. Are you from newyork?"

"No." She shook her head

"France?"

"I spent a lot of time there. Although that's not how I came to hear of her. I'm not even sure how I first found her art." She shook her head and pulled back her shoulders before slouching forward.

"What's E short for." I tried one last time.

"Your not one to give up are you?" I shook my head. "Want a lush?"

"What?"

"I, asked if you wanted a drink." I nodded slowly and she got up going inside. She was weird, but I also felt calmed by her. Maybe it was the alcohol warming my system, I turn my head toward the door and I caught a wif of her off her jacket and she smelt like vanilla and a hint of something I couldn't place. I closed my eyes for a second. "Here you go vivian."

"Viv." I corrected reaching for the cup.

"Vivian." She said passing it to me. I took a sip from the glass and was surprised when it wasn't to strong.

"Outside for both I guess." I said as I finished downing the drink.

"What?" She asked.

"You asked where I wanted the people to puke and fuck. Outside is fine with me so long as it's not in my house."

"Isn't sex outside public indecency?"

"Not if your not caught." I shrugged.

"Kinky." She nodded and I smiled over at her. We didn't talk again for a period of time, I almost felt tired but it was only ten thirty and I had to stay conscious till at least one AM. "I think, your friend thinks, we're going to try for public indecency."

"Why?" I asked and she threw her head back towards the door, I looked go see Joy and cece watching us. "You should go in, I don't want joy getting the wrong idea-"

"I don't care about her, but she knows I'm not a relationship person."

"Are you asexual?"

"Fuck no." She shook her head.

"Ah, your one of those girls." I nodded and looked away.

"What girls?"

"Those girls who say 'oh I'm to cool for relationships but I'll fuck you and ditch you'."

"I'm not one of those people." She said sounding a mixture of angr and sadness.

"Ok." I nodded pushing myself up and shrugging her jacket off and offering it back to her.

"I'm not." I went towards the house and she got up following me. "Hey. Come here." She grabbed my arm and I turned towards her.

"And I'm the one with issues letting stuff go. Fine your not one of those girls, see ya." I shrugged off her grasp and went inside.

"Is my wish coming true?" Cece said walking over to me.

"No, we were just talking." I yawned.

"Your not tired, come on have another drink." She passed me her cup and I took a sip, as expected it was just like gasoline. I coughed and took in a breath. "I want you to meet someone."

"Cece don't do this." I said as she grabbed my hand pulling me toward a girl wearing a tight black dress.

"The best way to get over someone is-"

"If you say to get under someone."

"I'm joking, but you need to move on girl. Jess, this is Viv. The one I was telling you about." Cece smiled at the girl with dirty blonde hair.

"Hi." She smiled, it seemed forced.

"Hi." I sighed.
