I jumped awake and felt like I was being watched. I flicked in my light and looked around my room, nothing. I felt dumb, but I even checked under my bed. I shook my head and laid back down. Calm down, Viv, your just stressed. I closed my eyes and sighed.

I took a deep breath and sat up. I was on a concrete floor, and my nose was filled with a musky, damp odour. I wrinkled my nose and glanced around; I pushed myself up and looked around, trying to place myself. I was at the end of a long corridor, the walls were black stone, and the floor was concrete as far as I could see. I slowly walked towards what I assumed was the end; I glanced through a window and noticed it was raining outside. I found a door and pushed it open slowly, and I was startled when I heard a loud voice.

"What the fuck!" I squinted into the darkness, and after a second, it was light. It was daytime inside the building. The room was bright now, and I saw E kneeling down in the middle of the room, holding her chest. I looked around, and no one else was in there.

"E?" I said just above a whisper. "E, are you ok?"

"Why did you do this?" She asked.

"What?" I questioned.

"Why did you do this to me?! Vivan." She whimpered.

"E, I didn't do it! I just got here."

"You let this happen. I needed you, but now you've killed me." She sobbed, and I cried too.

"Emma, please." I gripped her, but she disappeared, and I was left holding her clothes. "E!" I screamed. "No, no, where did you go?" I jumped up, still holding her shirt and running to the other side of the room, where a door appeared way too small for me to enter, though. I opened it and glanced inside. E was bleeding out on the floor. "E! Crawl over here, please, can you hear me?" I asked.

"You let this happen. Thank you." A voice said behind me. I screamed as I felt a pain in my stomach.

"No!" I screamed, jumping awake. The dreams about E had gone away... why did they come back? I rubbed my eyes then realized they were wet. I was crying. I looked at my phone on my nightstand to see it was 5:27 Am. I wasn't going back to sleep, so I got up, showered and got dressed for work.

"Your early." Mark said as I walked into the store.

"Yea, I couldn't sleep. Coffee?" I passed him his large black and he smiled.

"Thanks. Um, I heard a rumour." He said, clocking in.

"About?"

"You.. and Jade."

"How?" I sighed.

"It's true?"

"I guess," I mumbled. "Maybe."

"You guys are back together." He said.

"I don't know... I said we'd try."

"Viv, she fucked you si-"

"I know who she fucked, Mark." I breathed, taking a sip of the way to hot oat latte thing that was suggested to me. Hard no.

"Listen, I'm sorry ok, I just know what you were like when you found out and... I thought you were going to either kill her or yourself."

"Thought 'bout it. Decided against it."

"Not through your lack of trying." He glanced towards my wrist, and I rolled my eyes.

"I told you, I was cutting something, and the knife slipped."

"Yeah, ok." He rolled his eyes. "Bullshit, but anyways. Have you told Cece?"

"Fuck no, and also, this only happened yesterday. Who told you?"

"Luna. She saw you guys at the coffee shop talking and said Jade hugged you before she left."

"Tell Luna to get a life and stop watching mine." I took another drink and sighed as the bell over the door rang.

"Are you clocking in yet?" Mark asked as I eyed up the 50-year-old woman who walked in.

"Nope. Enjoy." I went out back and slumped down on the office chair. I spun myself one way, then back the other as I starring up at the ceiling. My mind went to the dream. Seeing E so vividly just made me miss her; as I thought about her, my phone buzzed.

'Hey, I'm on my way to work but I just wanted to message you and say good morning and that I want to take you on a date tonight.' I sighed at Jade's message.

'Ok, I'm off at 3.'

'I'll pick you up after work? I miss you.'

'I'll meet you, I drove.'

'Ok... see you this evening'
