Chapter 2

At Shetty's Villa.

Shivansh's Pov.

"Shivansh, Beta wake up, it's 1 in the afternoon. I know you had a meeting last night and you came late. But wake up, you must be hungry. Eat something and then rest." I heard mom yelling at me.

I woke up, brushed my teeth, and went towards the dining table to have lunch.

When I reached there, I saw my parents waiting for me. I sat beside dad as mom served me food. It had all my favorite dishes.

Mom always does this when she wants me to agree to something she wants me to do.

As I was hungry, I finished my lunch and heard my phone ringing, it was from the office so I went into the living room to attend the call. The call went on for 15 minutes. The moment I hung up the call, I heard mom calling me to sit beside her.

I saw something coming.

I went and sat beside her. "Mom what's the reason behind buttering me with my favorite food?"

"Shivansh, are you free tomorrow? We have a plan."

"Mom please, tell me whatever it is directly instead of talking in circles."

That's when dad said, "We want you to go on a blind date with a girl of our choice, she's actually your mom's friend's daughter and she have sort of agreed beforehand."

"Okay."

"Okay? That's it? You don't have anything to say on this?" Mom gave me a suspicious look.

Dad asked again,"Are you really willing to do this without complaining?"

I sat beside dad.

"At some point or the other I have to get married, as I don't like anyone at this point why not give a chance to someone you chose for me? But I will just meet her, if I don't like her you won't force me for it."

Mom and dad nodded quickly. I left to take a bath after telling dad to message me the details of the "blind date".

After a long shower of 20 minutes, I changed into pants as I hate to wear a t-shirt while sleeping.

I sat on the bed checking the details that dad sent me.

Message: 6 pm, Starbucks Juhu outlet. (Girl in the Maroon dress)

I called my secretary to clear my tomorrow evening schedule and went to bed.

But sleep was nowhere. I kept thinking about tomorrow because I've never been on a blind date. And not that my friends have set me up but my parents did this.

So cool parents I have.

I don't know when I dozed off in deep slumber. I woke up the next morning when I heard my alarm buzzing. I have to stop avoiding dinner because that does nothing good but just leave me starving in the morning.

I got up and did my morning chores. After a shower, I walked into my closet to wear a black suit with a white shirt and a black tie.

Mom had already prepared my breakfast so I won't get late for my meeting. I had my breakfast and was walking towards the parking lot. I ignited the engine of my Audi R8. I loved my baby (Audi R8).

She was my eternal love.

Everyone wished me a good morning, as I reached my office. I took the seat in the middle of the conference table and the meeting started.

The meeting ended in 2 hours and now I was in my cabin working on a very huge and important project which is going to benefit hell a lot to my company.

Glancing at the screen of my laptop I see it's already 5 pm. So I wound up everything and leave for my apartment.

Only a week or so I stay at my parents, usually, I'm all alone at my apartment.

I wished there to be no traffic and as it is Saturday today, gladly there was no traffic.

I reached my apartment in 30 minutes.

I had a shower and changed in casual clothes, my black shirt, and blue jeans. And I was all set for the blind date.

Abhidnya's Pov.

I left my hospital at 5:40 as the place was near to the hospital. I wasn't really excited but wanted to meet him as it was my parent's choice after all.

He's not any random person. He is mom's friend's son. And definitely, mom would have seen something in him that she chose him for me.

So was this it? I know I'm not excited but what if I actually like him and I say yes? Will I be married in the next couple of months? God this happens really fast!!!

Instead of asking questions to yourself and predicting answers better meet him and let the meet decide what your future beholds, my subconscious snapped at me.
