Anastasia glanced at Monica. âJust barge in?â
âYep.â Monica had been holding it in for a while. With Anastasia there and the added force of Dailey, it was time to confront. She knocked on the door.
The sound of the knocking would undeniably summon someone inside. Sure enough, the door swung open to reveal a man wrapped only in a towel â Trevor.
Upon seeing Monica, his face darkened and he tried to slam the door shut, but it was too late.
Dailey, though viewing this as a minor incident, still needed to play his part. He held the door open, giving Monica the chance to enter.
The person inside had heard the commotion and asked, âTrevor, who is it?â
Upon hearing the voice, Monica took a deep breath and stormed in, only to see a woman in her fifties, probably weighing around 165 pounds, lounging on the couch in a robe.
A romantic set-up with steak dinner, fresh flowers, and candlelight covered the table. The room was filled with the scent of perfume. The ambiance was set Monica pointed at the woman and accused Trevor, âReally? Youâre into older women now, Trevor?
Youâre unbelievable.â
Enraged, Monica kicked Trevor.
The overweight woman glared. âTrevor, who is this woman and whatâs going on?â
âRachel, itâs a misunderstanding, just a misunderstanding. This is my sister.â Trevor winced in pain and tried to pull Monica away, whispering, âCan we talk outside? Iâll explain everything.â
âExplain what? Youâre alone with her, and dressed like this. Isnât it obvious?â Monica furiously hit Trevor again. âDo you have an Oedipus Complex, Trevor? Going for someone this old?â
The overweight woman, now figuring it out, stood up. âTrevor, is this your girlfriend? You have a girlfriend? But you still mess around?â
Rachel was a divorced, wealthy, single woman with a penchant for younger men. However, she didnât play with those who had a girlfriend.
She walked up to Monica. âSweetie, you will also reach my age. Everyone gets old. No need for harsh words. If I knew he has a girlfriend, I wouldnât play with him. Thereâs no shortage of men in the world. I never compete or fight for them. If heâs taken, Iâll just find another one. I have money, so I can find as many as I want. Iâve seen all sorts at my age. Donât ruin your life over a man.â
After saying that, Rachel grabbed her clothes and stormed into the bathroom to change. She left immediately later, leaving Trevor calling after her in vain. Monica, cooled down by Rachelâs words, found a new perspective. Why was she getting angry over a jerk? There were plenty of men out there.
If Rachel could move on, so could she.
Monica and Anastasia both learned a valuable lesson from Rachel. Itâs important to handle relationships maturely and to amicably separate if it was not working.
With Rachel gone, Trevor tried to salvage the situation with Monica. âBabe, thereâs a misunderstanding.
She is a client. I was delivering clothes to her and I got drenched when her faucet broke. Thatâs why Iâm in this towel.â
Monica stared at him. âTrevor, do look like a fool to you? I donât believe a word youâre saying.â
Trevor lost his temper too. âIâve been with you all this time and havenât even kissed you! Iâm a man.
Whatâs wrong with that? Itâs your fault. You think! wanted to play this game? If you werenât gullible and generous, I wouldnât waste my time.â
Last time in Los Angeles, Trevor tried to drug Monica, but due to an unexpected turn of events, Monica knocked over the spiked drink, and his plan failed. Trevor wanted to find a wealthy woman, and he found out that Anastasia was Hermanâs wife. Since Monica was good friends with Anastasia, he continued to keep Monica around, hoping to reap more benefits.
Trevorâs harsh words finally made Monica give up on him. She stared at Trevor with pure hatred, walked up to him and, without warning, kicked him where it hurt the most. His screams echoed down the hotel corridor.
After teaching Trevor a lesson, Monica, with Anastasia in tow, left the hotel room with Dailey covering their retreat.
Once outside the hotel, Anastasia asked Monica, âAre you okay?â
Monica took a deep breath, seemingly letting go of her anger. âIin fine, Ana. Heâs just a jerk. I should listen to you. Heâs nothing more than a lowlife,â
