RYAN

“We don’t have to go, kitten. My family will understand if we stay home.”

Ryan smiled. Her back had been bothering her, she was increasingly uncomfortable, and for the last few days she was also having to contend with Braxton-Hicks contractions. But she was dying to get out of the house. “I’ll be fine.”

“All right.” Marco had tried several times over the last few days to convince her to lie around and relax. He knew better than to argue with her by now.

Just as Ryan had expected, it was nice to go somewhere, nice to see Marco’s family as always. But after about an hour, she noticed that her Braxton-Hicks contractions were coming more regularly.

“Excuse me,” she said, heading for the bathroom. She’d just sat down on the toilet when her water broke.

Okay. So, those weren’t Braxton-Hicks contractions. They were real ones.

“Hey, Marco?” she said when she got back to the table.

Marco looked up. “Yes, kitten?”

She stayed calm. “I think we should get going.”

“Are you tired?” he asked, already standing and reaching for his car keys.

“Actually,” she said, wincing when another contraction hit, “I’m in labor.”

Marco panicked. She had to laugh a little as he gasped for air, half-standing, then collapsing back into his seat, staring at her wide-eyed. He took a deep breath. “All right, we should call Anna.”

“I sent her a text when my water broke,” said Ryan. “She’ll be waiting for us.”

Connie grabbed Marco’s shoulder. “Calm down. Help her to the car and your father will drive.”

“Thanks, Mom,” said Marco, helping Ryan out to the car.

Roberto laughed. “I was the same when your mother went into labor with you.”

“You were worse,” Connie accused.

“I was not!”

“You were so focused on making sure we had everything we needed that you actually drove off without me.”

Ryan smiled as she listened to their story.

“Breathe, kitten,” Marco reminded her.

She nodded. “I am.”

Anna met them at the door of the hospital. “Seems like someone couldn’t wait another two weeks. Not to worry.”

She got them into the room and helped Ryan to change clothes before checking her dilation. “I hope you two are ready, because we’re having a baby.”

Ryan’s labor steadily progressed, and despite not having any pain medication, she was feeling okay. Marco would step out every now and then to let his parents know how she was doing, but he didn’t leave her otherwise.

A sudden need to push hit Ryan, and she grabbed Marco’s hand. “Get Anna.”

“What’s wrong, kitten?” he demanded, waving one of the nurses over.

“I need to push.”

“The doctor just checked you less than an hour ago, and you were still at eight centimeters,” the nurse said.

Ryan shook her head. “No, I need to push and I need to push now.”

“Ma’am,” the nurse sighed, sounding like she was going to argue some more. She didn’t know who Ryan was, and had clearly not been a labor and delivery nurse very long.

Ryan grabbed her shirt and pulled her down. “Get. Anna. Now!” she gritted out.

“Calm down, kitten,” said Marco, stroking her hair.

“I need to push, Marco.”

Anna came running in; no sooner had she pulled on gloves and a gown than she was catching William. “Here you go, Mom,” she crooned, moving Ryan’s gown so she could lay the baby against her chest.

Will wailed his lungs out, but he was beautiful. Once Ryan could pull her teary gaze away from her son, she saw that Marco was crying along with them. “You did it, kitten,” he said, kissing them both. “He’s perfect.”

“He is,” she agreed reverently.

“He’s so small.”

Ryan smiled up at him. “I love you, Marco.”

“I love you too.” Marco’s face was still shining with awe.

MARCO

Once Ryan was comfortable and Will was cleaned, fed, and dressed, Marco led his family into the room.

“Meet William Roberto Livingston,” he said proudly.

Everyone was in love with him, even Fiona.

Marco spent both nights with Ryan at the hospital. He didn’t even care that he had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch.

When it was time to head home, Marco was glad that Ryan had already installed the base of the car seat; all he had to do was grab the car seat itself and the diaper bag.

“I’m glad to be home,” Ryan sighed as she sank down onto the couch.

Marco’s family was over every day for the first two weeks. Ryan said she didn’t mind them hanging around; Maria helped her carry the laundry downstairs, and Connie would often bring them dinner.

Marco did his best to be a hands-on dad, changing diapers, giving baths, and even getting up with them in the middle of the night—though he couldn’t do much to help there since Ryan was the one breastfeeding.

Will was a good baby, and they easily fell into a routine.

“I still can’t believe we made him,” Marco said one night, watching him sleep.

“What, that we had him at all, or that it only took one night of drunken sex to make him?” Ryan asked with a laugh.

“Both,” he said, following her out of the nursery to their bedroom.

“I’m taking a shower,” said Ryan, heading to their bathroom.

Marco turned the baby monitor on in case their now-four-week-old baby woke during the night. Then he let out a contented sigh and stripped down to his boxers.

He heard the shower turn off, and Ryan walked out wrapped in a towel. Marco was rock-hard instantly. He readjusted himself in his boxers. It was going to be another cold shower for him tonight.

He let out a low groan when she dropped her towel. “You’re killing me, kitten.”

“I can help you with that,” she offered in a sexy purr.

“I thought you still had to wait another two weeks?” he asked, sitting forward.

“I do. But you don’t.” Ryan dropped to her knees in front of him.

“You don’t need to—” Marco started to protest, but as soon as her lips wrapped around his dick he couldn’t go on. “Fuck, that feels good.”

Four weeks of cold showers did little to compare to her, and he couldn’t wait until she was healed enough for sex again.

His hands found their way to her hair, and soon he was fucking her mouth mercilessly. It wasn’t long before his cum shot down her throat.

“Feel better?” she asked, easing herself back up onto the bed.

“I wish I could return the favor.” He felt bad that he’d gotten off and she hadn’t.

“Couple more weeks and you can do whatever you want to me,” she promised.

He handed her one of his shirts to sleep in. “I’m going to hold you to that.”
