Chapter 36: Here Comes the Maid

Rewinding back time a bit, when Glynne and the others were enjoying themselves at the restaurant.

Fu Hua was walking down the school corridors, as she was guiding a person towards the principal's office. She glance at her side to see a young woman with gray hair and pink colored eyes. There is a mole under her right eye, which somehow gives a boost in her mature charm.

Although for some reason, she is wearing a frilly maid dress with a short skirt and crimson roses decorated in some places. The dress feels like those that can be seen on a maid cafe rather than those that are use professionally. However the young women's clothes wasn't a costume as Fu Hua knows that this is a part of the woman's identity.

"Is there's something wrong?" the woman asked, noticing the student staring at her.

"It's nothing much." Fu Hua shrugged her shoulders a bit as she shifted her gaze forward. "I was only wondering that you were able to be separated from your captain. Considering how you always stick to her."

"It cannot be helped. It was an order from the Overseer himself." the maid said while putting a hand over one of her cheeks. "I would also like for Ms. Durandal to come but unfortunately she was busy at the moment."

".... Is that so" silence once again reign over the two. As their conversation suggest, this is not the first time they have met. However it is not like their relationship would be considered close either, as evident on how Fu Hua is quite wary of the guest.

It was not long until they reach the principal's office. "Principal, Ms. Rita Rossweisse has arrived." Fu Hua said as she knocked on the huge door

"Come in" Theresa's voice can be heard from the other side. With the permission of person inside, Fu Hua grasped the handle and opened the door. What met their vision was a young white haired girl who seems to be out of place among the vintage stuff that are displayed all over the room. That said, her real age wasn't really that far behind from aesthetics of the room. "Welcome to St. Freya Academy Far East Branch. It is a pleasure to meet you again Ms. Rossweisse."

"The pleasure is mine, Ms. Theresa." Rita bowed down while raising her skirt a bit. As the maid entered the room, Fu Hua excused herself in and closed the door behind them.

"Why won't you take a seat," Theresa said as she waved her hand towards the black comfy sofa. Rita followed and sat down while Fu Hua was on the corner preparing some tea.

As they wait for the water to boil, the Principal started the discussion. "I was surprising that Otto has sent you as his proxy, I was expecting that he would sent someone like a manager of a science team like usual."

"Yes, it was quite surprising indeed." Rita said while putting a hand on her cheek. "However the Overseer seems the have a precognition that something might happen during exams, so he decided for me to be sent as an assurance."

What the maid said hard to believe. Sure, there are times when Otto's precognitive abilities are right but Theresa instincts tells her that that was not the only reason why Rita is here. She can't help but to be wary at her, same was true as with Fu Hua earlier.

Their discussion was interrupted when they heard a cup being place in front of them by Fu Hua. "Thank you" Theresa said as the timing was on point with her needing it to calm her mind.

"By the way Ms. Theresa," Rita said after sipping her tea, "How was the boy?"

"Boy?" Theresa was confused for a moment by the change of topic. However she quickly realized it when she remembered the event before Glynne transferred. "Isn't this a bit sudden for you to asked about him?"

"I am sorry, but I am only curious as I noticed him a while ago being forcefully dragged around by three girls." Rita recalled the amusing sight she saw earlier.

"Uhm... " it seems like Fu Hua cannot stay quiet after realizing who they were talking about. "Sorry to interrupt but Ms. Rita, what is your relationship with Glynne?"

"Ah, I guess you still don't know." Glynne's special enrolment wasn't really that much of a top secret. Although some opposition may rise when it goes into public, but since this is an order from the Overseer himself, Theresa, though reluctantly, can use this to silence them.

That said, a problem is still a problem as it will still cause some headaches. Even so, she has no problem sharing this with Fu Hua as she proven time and time again that she was trustworthy. Plus, she has a report that the two have basically became a master and student. The chances of her ever be the start of an inconvenience to Glynne was low to the point it was impossible.

Theresa decided to tell some of the boy's past to her. From the time he was rescued from the battlefield, and to the time he rehabilitated in the Schicksal HQ for about a year before being a student here in St Freya Academy. Of course, she modified a bit of pieces in it as Theresa wasn't really sure if Glynne would like it if he discovered his secrets being passed so carelessly. That is just how much he was sensitive whenever his past is being talked about.

"Eh, he was under you're care for about a year?" Fu Hua was surprised by the revelation as she asked Rita in a rather impolite manner.

"Yes," Rita once again sipped her tea as she seems to be not bothered by what happened. Actually, she secretly rather like it that way.

She put down her tea cup on the platter as she begun to reminisces of the past when she first met Glynne. "I remember it like yesterday, about when he first got under my wing. He was quite an obedient child that seems to follow your every order. Though that wasn't the case at all as he do not know even the most basics of housekeeping." Rita giggled when she recalled how Glynne would clumsily start cleaning but ended up creating more mess.

"However he was a quick learner as he was able to learn it in just a short amount of time. If you asked me, he has the makings of a great butler. But well, he seems to dislike being under someone." Rita seems to be in glee as she seriously wanted for the boy to become a servant like her.

However, perhaps remembering that she was still in an important discussion with the principal, she cleared her throat as she once again fixes herself on the sofa. "I am sorry, seems like I got too carried away of the thought of reuniting with him again."

"No, it's alright." Theresa said with a bitter smile. It wasn't even three months yet that the two haven't seen each other, however the maid cannot seem hide her feeling of missing the boy already. "Anyway, back to the topic at hand. St. Freya Academy would like to offer you the best accommodation in the city. However it seems like you already got something in mind."

"Yes, I requested this to Sir Otto myself but he says that I would need your permission for this matter." Rita said while putting a hand on her chest. "Ms. Theresa, may I request to you that I would stay at the dorms where Glynne is currently living."

"Umu...." Theresa nodded as she understood where Rita is getting at. This might also be one of the reasons why Rita was sent here.

However she was having a conflict on her mind as it was basically inviting a possible enemy in her home. That said it wasn't like she could refuse it either as this would raise some suspicion of her hiding something from Otto.

In the end, Theresa has no other choice but to agree with Rita's request.

As Glynne and the girls got home, they were surprised when a maid suddenly greeted them when they opened the door.

"Welcome back," As soon as he heard her voice, Glynne's felt all the hair on his body standing up and quickly back a few meters away. He dropped down his stance into combat ready as he look from left to right, trying to find someone.

Seeing this, Rita can't help but giggle. "Rest assured, Ms. Durandal is not with me. "

"Thank goodness" After hearing the news, Glynne relaxed down his guard as he breathe a sigh of relief. He put a hand on his chest as he felt the fast beating of his heart due to the adrenaline rush he has a while ago. Inhaling and exhaling deeply, he was trying to calm down his nerves.

"You know, Ms. Durandal would be sad if she saw you acting like this." Rita commented at the boy's actions.

"As if I care, she would still beat me up otherwise." Glynne retorted, seemingly not that really fond of Rita's captain. "Well that aside, it was nice meeting you again Rita."

"Yes, I'm also happy to see you again too. By the way, your not giving me any hug?" Rita opened her arms as a sign for the boy to come to her.

"Please don't make things up. I dont remember ever wanting to hug you." Glynne has a wry smile on his face. It was clear to him that the maid in front of him was only teasing him like the usual. "If I recall correctly, it was you who always forced yourself into me."

Rita giggled, seems like Glynne was still as sharp as ever. "Then, you won't complain if I do exactly that."

Glynne instincts quickly kick in as he tried to move to the side. However it wasn't quick enough as he found himself getting caught in Rita's embrace. She was not a S rank Valkyrja for nothing.

"Oi, let go of me!" Glynne tried to struggle free but ended up for a naught. Rita begun to cuddle him from behind as if he was a toy bear and frankly he just hate being treated as such.

However it isn't like he could express his displeasure so easily either as he knew this would only fuel Rita's pleasure. As such he gave some eye signals to the girls to help him. However it seems like they don't plan to as he can tell that they also seems to be amused at his predicament. One of them even tried to join in the fun.

"B-Bronya!?" Yeah, the small girl has latched onto him on the front. He was perplex as the girl begun to snuggle on his clothes.

"Let's go Mei, I still need to show off my test score to Aunty Theresa." Kiana said as she grabbed the black haired girl's hands.

"Eh?... Ah, yeah." Mei seems to be the only one who has a bit of intention in helping Glynne. However she only send eye signals of being apologetic as she was dragged away inside the dorm.

"W-wait, don't leave me!!!" if Siegfried would be present to see this, he would be quite disappointed at the boy for not taking advantage of the situation.

Well, not really as the time this chapter is posted it was still a few hundreds away from reaching it.. Teehee ;p

Anyway, I seriously can't thank you all enough for allowing me to reach this milestone. I cannot stress how it still perplex me to this day how did I reached such numbers.
