Chapter 21: Infiltration

"Warning! Warning! A prisoner has escaped! A prisoner has escape!" the alarm went off as flashing red lights illuminated the dark corridors.

BOOM!!!

An huge explosion rang out throughout the whole facility. Multiple guards are being sent to investigate the cause.

Amidst the ongoing chaos, one soldier are navigating through the corridors alone. He was clearly breaching protocols but with the current situation, no one seems to notice.

"Tsk, just how many guards are there in this building... " he muttered as he used a nearby wall as a cover. After a few moments, dozens of armed humans run pass through him.

Peaking to know that coast is clear, he continued running but not after throwing a couple of grenades. It blew up after a few seconds, causing the corridor that he ran passed through to collapse. This would serve as a distraction and also to create another barrier to close off another section of the building.

"You there, where are you going?!" he was startled as he was discovered by a troop of soldiers right after he took a turn in the corner.

He lowered his helmet to avoid identification as they got near him.

"Speak! Where do you think you're going?!" the soldier shouts in front of him.

Luckily, it seems like the troop in front of him only composed of five basing from the footsteps. He judged that it is manageable to quickly silence them. He brought out and flick the safety switch of his gun.

The group of soldiers heard this as each of them raise their weapons. However they don't have time to aim as the suspicious person close the distance between them and fired a gun point black at their necks.

In the matter of seconds, three soldiers was down. The other two panic and quickly press the trigger, spray shooting the intruder.

The person in question used two of the bodies as meat-shields for the incoming bullets. Since the corpse are still wearing bulletproof vest, the bullets aren't going through them.

He heard clicking sound, meaning that the two guns has depleted their ammo. He throws the bodies full of holes at soldiers covering them as they fall on the ground.

He approached one of the soldiers and proceed to point a pistol on his neck. Fortunately the soldier was wearing a helmet so when he was shot, his brains didn't spread over the floor.

"Please, d-don't kill me!" The other one begs as the intruder walks closer to him. He felt his pants getting wet as he was look down by a pair of glowing green eyes. "Please, I'll tell you everything I know! Just please don't kill me!"

"Talk... " the soldier flinched on the chilly voice of the intruder. In effort to save his life, he begun telling him everything he was asked.

"Very well... " the soldier let out a sigh in relief as the intruder seems to be please with the information.

"Aaaaaarrrrgghhhh" However he let out a scream right after as he felt his legs get stabbed by a knife.

"Don't worry I won't be after your life as promise... " he said as he left the bleeding soldier. "...this is just to make sure you won't follow me."

That said, the scream would probably get the attention of nearbly guards. The intruder quickly disappears from the scene.

"This is probably the armory....." he muttered as he input the password he got from interrogating the previous soldier. As soon as the doors open, he quickly got inside and close them.

Despite being the room the they used to store their weapons, the room is mostly empty. The reason was most likely because all the soldiers have already equipped themselves due to the him escaping.

"They seems going all out to take me down..." he muttered as he remove the hot baggy uniform he was wearing. When he removed the helmet, his black hair was revealed, same is true with his green emerald eyes. Yep, as most of you expected, the intruder was Glynne.

Escaping from his prison cell was a breeze for him. Compared to some of the prison he was locked in before, it feels like recent was just some fancy room. Though it has a gimmick of electrifying its prisoners upon trying to escape, it was no problem to Glynne as he just push through with brute force.

Glynne sat down on the floor to take a quick rest. Luckily there is a low chance that they would find him here because; one, the armory is the least visited room during an invasion because it already served its purpose, and two, the soldiers wouldn't think that he has the password to enter the room.

His eyes wandered around the room. He noticed that almost all the weapons that was left are those of honkai powered.

"Seems like they did some research... " Glynne muttered. The shots from a honkai powered weapons has no effect to him at all.

This also works vice-versa as he can't use honkai powered weapons due to the nature of his stigmata. Although he can use weapons that created from their materials, weapons which solely rely on honkai energy has their power decreased as Glynne would just absorb some of it.

That aside, with the abundance of honkai energy here, Glynne thought that he might be able to do something. He wasted no time starting his preparations.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!

A large explosion has blown away the heavy metal door of the command room. Inside the smoke, was a silhouette that belong definitely belong to a teenager.

"Oh, you came faster than expected." the blond scientist said as he turned around to see the smoke clearing out to reveal Glynne.

"Is that so, then you already expected what comes next." the boy intimidated as he aimed his pistol.

"Hoh..........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" the man seems to have gone mad. Even with his life in danger, he can't stop from laughing. Glynne felt goosebumps running all over his skin.

The boy sighed, he know it was hopeless to talk to him. He was about to pull the trigger, but then.........

He was taken back as a huge laser gun grew from the right arm of the scientist.

"Ugh!" Glynne grunted as a huge laser hit him. However that was only it, the laser died down to reveal the boy with only smoke rising from his body. He didn't suffer any damage other than some burned areas on his clothes.

"Did you really think that would hurt me?" Glynne asked as he aim his gun again.

"No," the man said while rubbing his mechanical arm. "But I was aiming for something else."

Glynne was confused for moment. However he realized it quickly as he kneeled down on the floor while holding his head. Black smoke begun to emit from his body and his green eyes are sometimes flickering into red.

"HAHAHAHAHA, THIS IS IT! REALIZE IT YOU DAMN MUTT!" the scientist laughs, savoring his victory. "YOU AREN'T A HUMAN, YOU'RE JUST A MONSTER IN HUMAN SKIN!"

Glynne tried fighting it. He stood up and tried to raise his weapon. It was no used as his hands cannot stop shaking. At this sight, the scientist cannot stopped laughing as he was impressed for his efforts.

"HAHAHAHAH THIS IS FUN! HERE, HAVE SOME MORE!! " the man begun blasting Glynne again with the honkai powered laser.

The black smoke begun devouring the energy. The boy can feel the corruption in his body slowly taking over him. He was slowly losing conscious as he kneeled down on the floor.

BOOOOMMMMM!!!!

A huge blast occur, enough to shake the whole facility. The scientist lose his balance and his aim misdirected to the side.

Glynne, having his consciousness shaken, begun to gather all of the corruption on his limbs.

The man tried to regain his balance by using the tabletop as a support. However he was bewildered he cannot seem to feel his left arm. He look over it as his face begun to pale in horror.

"AAAAAARRRGGGGHH!!!" he screamed in pain as his arm below his shoulder are now gone. He put the laser gun at the opened wound to make the heat emanates from it to stop the blood from flowing.

"YOU," the man treated, "YOU, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!!!!!!" he shouted on the whole room has he cannot seem to find the boy.

"Isn't it obvious, it was the same as last time. Only this time, it was the other side." Glynne voiced reverberated on the entire room. The man was terrified as he begun firing his laser gun randomly.

"Oopsie, that's dangerous... " the voice nonchalantly said. A streak of green and red light pass by as the scientist watched his mechanical arm flying away from his body.

There was a soft thud as the scientist see a pair of wolf like legs landing in front of him. It wasn't only on his feet though, when he raise his head, his eyes widen at the form of the boy.

On the hands was black giant claws, a pair of wolf like ear are sprouting on his head, and a tail that seems to float on his backside. Their texture wasn't as hairy as one would expect from certain fantasy games, but his has a texture that are similar to that of a honkai.

His left eye was the only one that change into blood red. This, combined with his current appearance, means that his corruption aren't entirely complete.

"H-how? HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO MANIPULATE YOUR CORRUPTION!?" the scientist shouted in confusion.

"Oh you mean this?" Glynne opened his arms to show off his form. "You know, it isn't like your the only one who has a trump card."

"T-this cannot be! This just go against all reason!" the man exclaimed. He seems to start to lose his mind due to extreme pain.

Glynne forehead wrinkled at what the man said. "I don't know what did you thought about me but my existence alone already defies logic." he said as he slowly got near the downed man.

In every step, the scientist let out a shriek as he backs away. It was not soon that he meet a wall and watched in horror as the monster squat near him and grab his head.

"Anyways, it was a nice reunion." Glynne flash a smile. "Bye-bye"

The boy squashed the man's head as blood was splattered everywhere. Glynne slowly got up, the blood on his arms slowly dripping down on the floor.

The honkai parts gradually cracks open. The broken areas started to become light particles. Soon it all disappeared, leaving only Glynne dress in a damaged guard uniform.

Maintaining the incomplete form required a huge toll, both physically and mentally. Glynne sat down on a chair to have rest as he was totally worn out even if he only transformed for about a minute.

He wanted to sleep but remembering he is still on enemy's territory, he tried his best to wake up. However by pushing his body pass the limit, his nose bleeds while coughing up blood.

"Oh my, quite a carnage you did there." a woman's voice suddenly entered Glynne's ears. He weakly turned his head to the giant monitors. He smirked as he glared at the blonde woman with purple eyes that appeared in it.

"Long time no see, Mother...."

Yep, so online classes are gonna resume tomorrow. Updates are probably gonna slow down.

As a gift I'm gonna leave you with this longest chapter I ever wrote yet. Almost 2000 words folks, that's like two chapters worth... XD
