Chapter 19: Running Wild (Part 2)

Himeko lunges at the creature with her Greatsword over her head. Using the weight of the sword and the additional power from her leap, she was able to deliver a fast downwards cleave to the black wolf's head. However the attack missed as it continued on to the ground and leaving a huge crater.

"Tsk" Himeko clicked her tongue as she look over the creature. It dodged by jumping backwards and now it seems seems to be wary of it's assailant as it slowly circles around her.

Himeko positioned herself and lock eyes with the creature. She charges again, dragging the sword on the ground.

The creature stand on its ground, lowering his upper body. As the red streak draws near. It dodges the upwards diagonal slash by leaping sideways.

Himeko has no time to recover as the creature bear its fangs and lunge towards her. However she use the weight of her sword to carry her body out of the way while delivered a kick towards the creatures chin.

"Activate!"

The world around Himeko suddenly turnes blue. Everything except her is moving in slow motion. Taking this advantage, she quickly recovered her stance and started slicing at the black beast.

Himeko concentrated on the hardened parts. Connecting multiple heavy blows, the creatures honkai parts was shattered and blown away from the mist like body.

But it wasn't enough, soon the passage of time returns to normal. Himeko notice this as she stop her onslaught and back away.

She watch as the Time Fracture fades away and the wolf like figure was suddenly blown away to the nearby rubbles.

Dust cloud rose upon impact but Himeko still raises her guard as she lowers her hips and prepared her greatsword.

"Grrrrruahh!!!!"

From the dust, the creature charges at great speed. However, since Himeko was ready to intercept, she swung her sword upwards and hit the creature's underbelly. It let out a yelp as it was send flying towards the sky.

Himeko took this chance and jump along with it. With a circular motion, she smashes her Greatsword at the creature sending it back to the ground, creating a huge crater and dust clouds.

"It's still standing?!" Himeko exclaimed in surprised. Despite getting hit by multiple heavy attacks, the creature still has strength to stand up. Not only that, the destroyed hardened parts regenerated back...., No it seems like it was replaced by a new skin.

Himeko notice that the pace of the black aura's physical manifestation has begun to increase. She felt that she was steadily running out of options to save the boy inside.

"Tsk.... If it comes to this then I won't be holding back anymore!" She shouted and begun charging at the creature again.

Sensing the approaching enemy, the creature also charges towards Himeko to intercept her.

"Huurrryah"

Himeko shouted as she launches an upwards strike. The creature doesn't dodge but instead parry it with its claws.

Their weapons let out sparks as both of them clashes with each other. With none was able to overpower the other, both weapons only deflected each other.

However the creature has a set of two claws. Even if one was deflected, it can still attack using the other. It tries to deliver another attack by swiping the other claw.

Himeko, sensing the attack, use the momentum of her deflected sword swing as she did a circular motion to intercept the incoming claws. This time however she was able to overpower its claws and continued on to the head of the creature.

"Hard!!" Himeko was surprised, it was different awhile ago when she was able to destroy the creature's hardened parts. This time she felt the incredible toughness as vibrations were sent towards her arms.

She quickly retreated and tries to reassess the situation. Fortunately, the creature doesn't give chase due to it being stunned, this gives a chance for Himeo to think.

"Ai-chan, connect me to Theresa." she muttered.

A ringing sound was heard from earpiece for moment before it safely connected to the other side.

"Himeko, what's the situation?" Theresa asked right after it connects.

"Theresa, I found the kid." Himeko replied. "No time to explain but right now I'm facing him."

"I understand, I'm coming right there. Please don't kill him." Theresa said the last sentence in importance, before she cut the line.

"Sorry, I can't promise you that... " Himeko muttered as he look towards the creature that Glynne has turned into. Almost 80 percent of the surface has already turned into honkai skin. Its toughness and strength are slowly increasing by the second. Time is already running out for the boy....., No she wasn't even sure if he can rescued anymore.

She only has two things that she can do..... Either wait for Theresa to come, or kill him as quick as possible.

Himeko eyes was covered by shadows. It was regretful but the week he became her was student was fun. "Hang in there kid. This will end sooner than you think."

Her golden eyes begun glowing as the stigmata on her back let out a reddish light. Red light begin to gather on her sword as Himeko instantly covered the distance between the creature and her. She releases a down cleave towards the black wolf's head then followed by another two attacks. All of it was a direct hit but due to the toughness of the creature, it was able to withstand it.

"Tornado Storm"

Himeko shouted as she spin around and around forming a red tornado. Each spin hit the creature constantly dealing a lot of damage on its flank. The final spin was able to sent the creature away.

"GURRRAAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!"

The creature let lout a huge roar as it hold its ground. It was growling as it glares at Himeko with its glowing red eyes.

It was expected, Himeko was not surprised at all when the black wolf was still able to stand. But even if it let out such a huge roar, it is clear that it was weakened due to suffering massive damage in such short amount of time.

The wolf lowered its body and leaps over Himeko at a high speed. However, she was able to dodge it by rolling into the side.

"Activate!" Once again the time slowed down for Himeko. She charged her attack and let out a downwards-diagonal-upwards combo.

The Time Fracture faded but Himeko was still able triggered another 3 strike combo before sending the creature flying again.

The creature was sent into a pile of rumbles as it falls down into it, creating a huge dust cloud. Himeko once again prepared her stance but no matter how much time she waited, It never go out.

The dust settled and reveals the creature lying weakly on the ground. The debris that covered it moves up and down as it was heavily breathing, exhausted from its injuries. Its eyes that was filled with rage and bloodlust has now returned to its gentle green color

Himeko moves slowly to the creature, the creature who was once her student, Glynne Romero.

"I'm sorry.... But with this, you won't suffer ever again... " she muttered. She raise her greatsword over her head, intent on dealing the final blow.

However Himeko's sword stop midway as she was surprised to what she was seeing.

The honkai skin that covered the boy was slowly crackling by itself. Little by little, the outer layer turned into light particles.

"What's happening?" Himeko didn't understand what she is seeing but she subconsciously removes the debris that covers him.

Soon after the honkai parts was no more, what was left was the unconscious body of Glynne.

"We'll be taking it from here." A robotic voice suddenly reverberated on the battlefield.

Himeko's instincts kick in as she jump backwards. A laser hit where she was before, creating a huge dust clouds.

"Anti-Entrophy?!" Himeko said in surprise as the dust settled to reveal mechanic Titans carrying Glynne's body. "What do you think your doing to the boy?!"

"Oh," one Titan faced Himeko. It seems like there was a person inside it. "We're just collecting what originally ours."

"Like I'll let you!" Himeko yelled as she charges forward.

"Don't worry, we don't need your permission in the first place." the leader said as it orders another two Titans to intercept the captain.

While Himeko was busy fighting, the Anti-Entrophy troops retreated dragging along the unconscious boy.

So yeah, seems like I still have a lot to improve on writing battle sequences.
