Chapter 17 of 60

Chapter 15: New Equipments (Part 1)

Huge double doors decorated aesthetically with white color and gold. It was eye-catching as it is definitely screams that room behind it belongs to an important person of the facility, in this case, the Principal.

Glynne is currently in front of that door. He took a deep breath to he pump himself up as he was feeling nervous being called out to the principal's office all of a sudden. "Excuse me Principal, I'm here to report."

His ears heard something crashing on the other side of the door, and then there are seems to be papers being rustled around. He is debating in his head whether if he should open the door or not. However knowing that some superiors tend to preserve their dignity, he decided to wait outside.

After a short awkward silence, the noises on the other died down as he heard someone clearing her throat. "You may enter." a voice came through.

That was his cue, Glynne opened the door to see a small girl sitting on a elegant chair clearly big for her body. Her arms are crossed as she was letting out a dignified air. The boy's eyes wandered to the side as he don't know how to react. If only he didn't heard what happened awhile ago.

"I heard you've been slacking off during classes." Theresa said making Glynne grunt from guilt. "I know some of the lessons are boring but it wouldn't hurt listening to them as it may save your life one day." she reprimanded.

"I'm sorry ma'am!" Glynne said as he quickly bowed in a 90 degree angle, "I won't repeat my mistake ever again!"

Theresa felt her forehead wrinkling as she let out a sign. "You should probably drop that habit of yours already. You aren't in a military camp, you know."

"Ah," Glynne realized what he has done and quickly stood up to change his posture. Because he was feeling tense, his subconscious has taken over him. "Is this okay?" he asked after calming down his nerves

"Good," Theresa nodded in satisfaction. "Anyway, that was not what I called you here for."

Glynne raises his eyebrows as Theresa begun to rummage her desk.

"Here," Theresa handed a holographic tablet to Glynne.

"This is?" he asked. But Theresa didn't answer, only looking at him with a mischievous smile. He felt a sweat coming from his forehead as he proceeded to boot up the device.

The device light up with a whirling sound and then shows holographic images of various battlesuits. Glynne was overwhelmed by the amount as he unconsciously skimmed all through to them until to the last one.

"Those are the available battlesuits that you may choose from." Theresa explained once she had her fill on the boy's reaction. "Pick one to your liking."

"Eh, wait I haven't done anything to earn this." Glynne protested.

"Oh my, haven't you noticed Mr. Glynne?" Theresa asked in a mischievous grin. "The time before Kiana challenge you to a duel." she hinted.

Before the duel, if I'm not mistaken that was most likely the preparation for the BattleSim subject. — Glynne thought as put his hand on his chin. He tried recalling the scene, fortunately it left a huge impression in him thanks to a certain someone so recalling it was not that hard.

"Wait, don't tell me..." Glynne muttered as he realized something. He thought Kiana was special because she have a personal battlesuit but now that he think about it, the other girls as well has there own.

"Have you realized it now?" Theresa asked, making Glynne nod. "It is my duty to help my students reach their best performance as much as possible. Giving a battlesuit for them to use is one of my plan. This is also one of the reason why I agreed to excused you from the BattleSim last week as you still haven't got one yet."

Glynne was speechless, screw what happened earlier, he now see Theresa giving of a holy light.

"Anyway, It seems like you still have more than thirty minutes." Theresa said after looking at the clock. "A plenty of time to pick whatever design you like."

"Thank you very much!" Glynne subconscious took over him again as he bowed another perfect 90-degree angle.

@@@@@@@@@@@

Glynne has spend the entire 25 minutes examining very detail of the battlesuit on the list. From the general attributes, to the outer design of the product. When something catches his eyes, he took note of it and compare to the others he also liked. In all honesty though, he might have already finished examining all if not for one problem.

"You know, this one looks good." Theresa said as she leaned on Glynne's shoulder, pointing the currently displayed battlesuit. The suit is a stylish trench coat with a combination of color white and gold. The inner garments aren't to be underestimated it either as the black vest goes along well with it.

"Let me guess, because of the coat isn't?" Glynne asked seemingly exhausted.

"Yes!" Theresa answered cheerfully showing Glynne her smile. At this, the boy let out a huge sigh.

"Seriously, what's with you and weird attraction with coats?" questioned Glynne as he swiped pass to the next one.

"What's wrong with it?" Theresa pouted. "Doesn't it looked cool?"

"No, they just obstruct you when fighting." Glynne said in a disgusted manner. He swiped and swiped hoping to fasten the procedure before Theresa would interrupt him again. Fortunately, it wasn't long until he reach the end.

With the narrowed down options, he brought up seven different battlesuits that manages to capture his taste.

"This? Aren't that they just all plain looking?" Glynne almost choke himself at Theresa's comment. "You won't be able to stand out, you know."

"Then it's perfect." Glynne said,  satisfied as he got the assuring words of a veteran. He wasn't too keen in standing out on the battlefield, I mean who would want to gain the attention of unnecessary enemies. He just wanted to take his time in beating his enemy before moving on to another one.

Theresa was feeling dissatisfied as she much prefer to go out with a bang. Since her student already made his choices, there is nothing that can be done to change it. However there is still one thing she can do. "Hey, isn't this one look great on you."

"Hm?" with Glynne attention caught, he move his gaze towards the one Theresa was pointing to. A dark green military pilot leather jacket with a gold lining, a black collar, and white cuffs. White stripes are added on the arms and stomach area as a extra detail. Pairing it was a white pants with black patch near the crouch area. On the hands are black fingerless gloves and on the feet are the standard military boots. As a final touch, it has a white scarf that goes along with it.

"Why would I pick this?" question Glynne as he raise an eyebrow.

"Because it the only one that have a scarf among all of them!" Theresa exclaimed. "Please, at least pick this one for your cutest principal." she begged as she look Glynne like a puppy eyes.

Glynne flinch, he don't know how to deal with this small woman. However it wasn't like he opposed to the idea. Among all options, this one catches his eye the most. Though there was a suit that looks like a ninja outfit that would definitely suit his personality, the specs of it doesn't really go well with his fighting style. However the battlesuit that picked by Theresa seems to have a high compatibility with him according to the data.

Glynne let out a huge sigh. This is not because of a mature little woman begging him but because he has no other better choice. "....Fine, I'm going with this one then." he said as he pointed at the dark green battlesuit.

Theresa's eyes lit up in happiness. "Then since you are getting a new suit, how about getting a weapon to go along with it too!"
