As his personal secretary, Yi Fan is paid high enough to run Wang Shen Ze’s private errands as well.

So he naturally knew about his president’s upcoming marriage and future wife.

Yi Fan glanced at Lin Wen Xin who is currently at the counter purchasing the ring.

“President Wang, do you want me to pay the bill for her with your card?”

Wang Shen Ze hesitated for a short moment before replying Yi Fan.

“No need, leave her alone. I want to see how long she can last!” Wang Shen Ze responded with a glint in his eyes.

Lin Wen Xin and Xiao Yu Meng chatted happily as they walked to the mall’s basement carpark.

They quickly spotted the well-polished white BMW sports car that is parked just beside the lift lobby.

Xiao Yu Meng is currently an entrepreneur who is running her small marketing firm.

Her parents have always been hoping for her to take over some of their family’s businesses.

However, Xiao Yu Meng has strongly declined their offer as she wanted to chase her own dream.

As such, all of the Xiao Family’s businesses have been taken over by Xiao Yu Meng’s older brother.

“Wen Xin, my mother has been nagging for me to ask you over to my house for a meal!” Xiao Yu Meng complained as she started the car.

“Haha sure! I miss auntie so much too! Now that you mentioned it, I haven’t seen her for about a month already!” Lin Wen Xin replied as she buckled her seat belt.

Lin Wen Xin used to frequently visit Xiao Yu Meng’s house during their schooling days.

Xiao Yu Meng’s parents like Lin Wen Xin and have always treated her as one of their children.

“So how about coming over now?” Xiao Yu Meng casually asked her.

“Sure, why not! I don’t have any plans for tonight too!” Lin Wen Xin smiled and responded.

She had missed Mama Xiao’s cooking anyway!

Soon, they arrived at the Xiao’s Residence.

“Wen Xin! You are finally here!” Mama Xiao greeted her at the entrance with her arms wide open.

“Mama Xiao! I missed you!” Lin Wen Xin smiled as she responded with a big warm hug.

“Come in! Shall we have dinner first? The food is ready!” Mama Xiao asked as she walked towards the kitchen.

Along the way, she had also signalled the servants to help her set up the table for dinner.

Lin Wen Xin greeted the servants as she placed her bag on one of the dining chairs.

She saw that Mama Xiao is still busy in the kitchen and decided to go in and help out.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yu Meng went up to the study room to call her father down for dinner.

“Mama Xiao, is there anything that I can do?... Maybe I can help to bring these dishes out?”

Lin Wen Xin did not even wait for Mama Xiao’s reply as she quickly brought them out to the dining hall.

She knew that Mama Xiao would not want her to lift a finger, but sit down at the dining table just like other guests.

But Lin Wen Xin has also treated them as one of her own and she felt that it was not polite to remain idle at the dining hall.

Mama Xiao saw this scene and couldn’t help but sigh helplessly with a doting smile, “This girl...”

Just when Lin Wen Xin had placed the last dish on the dining table, a pair of hands covered her eyes.

She was startled!

Who is it?

Lin Wen Xin struggled to remove the hands placed on her eyes.

She immediately turned around and saw the man standing behind her.

It turned out to be Xiao Yu Meng’s older brother, Xiao Yu Zheng!

Since she often hanged out at the Xiao’s Residence when she was younger, she naturally got to know Xiao Yu Zheng as well.

Even though he was 2 years older than them, all three of them often hanged out together and had gotten close over the years.

It was said that the three of them have an unbreakable bond!

She did not hesitate to give the man a light punch on his muscular chest, “Xiao Yu Zheng! You scared me!”

Xiao Yu Zheng laughed heartily as he handed a navy blue box to her, “Happy Belated Birthday, Wen Xin!”

Xiao Yu Zheng could not pass her this gift on her actual birthday as he had to leave for a last minute business trip overseas and he had just returned today.

Lin Wen Xin was shocked to receive this sudden gift from him.

But come to think of it, Xiao Yu Zheng has never failed to give her a birthday gift for all the years that she has known him.

Lin Wen Xin felt very touched by it and looked at him with teary eyes, “Yu Zheng, thank you for your gift and for always remembering my birthday.”

Xiao Yu Zheng rolled his eyes and gave her a light rub on the head, “Silly girl, quickly open up the present and see if you like it!”

Lin Wen Xin smiled as she unwrapped the ribbon on the box.

As she opened, she saw an exquisite customised necklace with her initials on it.

It must have cost a lot!

She quickly turned to look at Xiao Yu Zheng, “This must be expensive, you really didn’t have to spend so much!”

“You don’t like it?”

“I like it but...”

Lin Wen Xin was about to explain herself when Xiao Yu Zheng happily took the necklace in the box and helped her wear it on her neck.

As he was putting it on for her, Lin Wen Xin held on to the necklace, with sincere gratitude in her eyes.

Lin Wen Xin turned around and smiled at Xiao Yu Zheng, “Thank you! I really love it!”

Xiao Yu Meng then came down to the dining hall with her father.

Mr President, We Meet Again!

Chapter 8 - Only Once In A Lifetime “Hello Uncle Xiao!” Lin Wen Xin greeted her father first.

Uncle Xiao smiled gently as he nodded his head, “Wen Xin, it’s been a while since you came here. How is your new job so far?”

Lin Wen Xin then went on to exchange a few more words with Uncle Xiao as everyone slowly settled down at the dining table.

Even though there were quite a few servants at home who could cook well, Mama Xiao has always preferred to personally prepare the family’s meals.

Everyone who has tasted Mama Xiao’s cooking would definitely agree that she makes the best home cooked food!

It was just like what people usually say, “The Taste of Home”.

The dinner ended harmoniously with the good food and endless laughter.

Since it was already late, it was time for Lin Wen Xin to go back home.

“Mama Xiao, Uncle Xiao, I will take my leave first. Thank you so much for the dinner tonight!”

Xiao Yu Meng wanted to send Lin Wen Xin home, but Xiao Yu Zheng beat her to it.

“Let’s go! I’ll drive you home!” Xiao Yu Zheng said as he reached for his car keys.

Xiao Yu Meng did not follow Lin Wen Xin since her brother had already offered to send her back.

“Beep beep...” The car is immediately unlocked and Xiao Yu Zheng opened the door for Lin Wen Xin to get in.

Lin Wen Xin and Xiao Yu Zheng chatted throughout the entire journey.

When the car arrived at the Lin’s Residence, Lin Wen Xin turned to Xiao Yu Zheng and said, “Thank you for sending me home!”

Lin Wen Xin then held on to her necklace and smiled, “Thank you for the necklace too!”

“If you really want to thank me, you can marry me!” Xiao Yu Zheng looked at Lin Wen Xin’s face with a serious look.
