Lin Wen Xin’s mind is currently filled with complex emotions.

To have someone that she have loved so deeply, ask her this very question just before the wedding banquet, simply shows how reluctant he is to marry her.

It is no doubt that she still loves him and still dream of marrying him.

But is it too selfish of her to hold on to him like this?

Should she just let him marry the one he truly loves?

Should she leave him?

Whatever decision she were to make tonight, she knew that there is no turning back.

Could she just think of herself and be selfish for once?

Because she could lose everything but there is only one thing in the world that she could not afford to lose, and that’s him!

They had finally met with such great difficulty, and she cannot bear to just watch him go like this.

He is the one that she has chosen. The one that she wants to do life with, the one that she wants to start a family with, and the only one that she wants to grow old with.

“Yes, I want to marry you”, Lin Wen Xin finally plucked up her courage and said to him with much determination.

Wang Shen Ze stared at her with ruthlessness in his eyes. He then adjusted his suit as he stood up and left the room without turning back.

Lin Wen Xin held on to her nervous hands as her eyes slowly choked up with tears. She hurriedly blinked her eyes multiple times to prevent the teardrops from ruining her makeup.

“Wen Xin! I called you just now to ask you if you wanted any pastries but you didn’t pick up your phone so I...” Xiao Yu Meng said as she opened the door and walked towards Lin Wen Xin.

As soon as she stood in front of her, Xiao Yu Meng immediately put the plate of pastries down on the coffee table and held on to her shoulders, “Wen Xin, what happened? You were crying?”

Lin Wen Xin quickly shook her head and gave an assuring smile, “No... I wasn’t. Maybe it was because I just yawned and...”

“Stop lying to me. Am I your best friend all these years for nothing? Do you think I don’t know if something is wrong with you?” Xiao Yu Meng interrupted her and probed further.

Lin Wen Xin had no choice but to share with her about what had happened earlier.

Xiao Yu Meng was so furious when she heard what Lin Wen Xin had said. She could not help but remind her, “If you want to leave this man, tell me now and I’ll help you with it. It’s still not too late!”

“No, it’s fine. I have already decided to marry him and furthermore, I still believe in him.”

“Even if he doesn’t love me anymore, he wouldn’t treat me badly. He isn’t that kind of person.” Lin Wen Xin held on to Xiao Yu Meng’s hand as she spoke seriously.

Xiao Yu Zheng who happened to arrive outside the room, had also heard the entire conversation from the very beginning. He clenched his fists tightly as a cold glint flashed past his eyes.

Over in the other room, Wang Shen Ze was standing in front of a large full length mirror as he adjusted his black tie to perfection.

Yi Fan knocked on the door twice with his knuckles before entering, “President Wang, there is someone outside who wish to meet you.”

“Reject it.”

“Yes, I understand.” Yi Fan immediately went outside to speak to the person.

Very quickly, two knocks sounded on the door again and Yi Fan came in to report to him, “President Wang, the man outside said he has some urgent matters to speak to you about. His name is Xiao Yu Zheng.”

“Xiao Yu Zheng? Heh... You still have the nerve to come here.” Wang Shen Ze sneered as he ordered Yi Fan to let him in.

The two man soon came face to face with each other.

“Yi Fan, you can leave.”

Yi Fan bowed to Wang Shen Ze, before closing the door behind him.

As soon as the door was closed, the temperature in the room became very low. People who didn’t know the situation would think that they have known each other before and were long lost enemies.

The staring game continued even after Wang Shen Ze moved to the nearby sofa to take a seat while Xiao Yu Zheng remained standing at his spot.

Xiao Yu Zheng immediately rushed forward to grab Wang Shen Ze by the collar, “I’m warning you, if you dare to treat her badly even for a single minute, I will not let you go!”

Wang Shen Ze immediately pulled his hands off his collar and kicked Xiao Yu Zheng to the corner of the room.

The kick was so heavy that Xiao Yu Zheng’s body slammed against the wall and collapsed to the ground in a split second.

Before Xiao Yu Zheng could even move, Wang Shen Ze bent down and forced his chin up to look at him.
