Chapter 11 Did You Do It?
In the cafe.
âHere is 500 thousand dollars in cash. I know you need money. Take this money and leave Terrv.
You are not suitable for him.â
The woman was Terryâs mother. She came from a prestigious family and was dressed in a very graceful and luxurious manner.
500 thousand dollars in cash was placed in the plastic bag and on the coffee table.
Aurora stirred the coffee in the cup and suddenly smiled, âAuntie, you may have misunderstood. Terry and I are not in a relationship.â
âDo you mean you wonât take the money?â
The woman raised her eyebrows, âYou are already living with him. Is there any chance of misunderstanding? Today, you have no choice but to take this money. If you insist on seducing Terry, then donât blame me for being ruthless.â
When the woman left, she paid for the coffee. The woman was implying Auroraâs situation.
TOM Walking out of the coffee shop, Aurora carried a heavy bag of money, her slender fingers protruding out. Money! She never expected that she would be humiliated one day because of money. Aurora suddenly threw the money bag high into the sky with all her strength. Money flew all over the sky. âSomeone is throwing money!â âPick up the money quickly! Donât let the rain wet it!â
Someone was picking up the money while glancing at Aurora, âSheâs mad. She doesnât even want money!â âShe looks familiar to me. Is she the ex-wife abandoned by Mr. Buchanna? Her father just died and her family is broken!â
âDonât worry about that. Pick up the money first! She doesnât want it, but we need it! Anyway, such a beautiful woman can get money anywhere!â
Aurora heard their discussion and her eyebrows raised.
Although she had embarrassed Zac in front of everyone in Creek Club, her act also hurt herself.
At the entrance of the company, Aurora failed the interview. Wenny provocatively handed her a business card.
In just a short month, she had fallen from the envy of everyone to a homeless nobody.
It was painful...
The road was a mess. The pedestrians were colliding with each other to pick up more money.
In the pouring rain, Aurora saw a car parked beside her. Through the window, she could vaguely see the cold face in the backseat.
It was Zac.
Zac opened the car door and walked over to Aurora. There was a driver beside him holding an umbrella for him.
âYou did it, didnât you?â
How could Terryâs mother know about that otherwise? She had no interest in the outside world. Why would she come and question her?
She couldnât think of anyone else other than Zac.
âAurora, I am merciful enough to you.â
In the heavy rain, Zacâs body was slender and his cold gaze swept over Auroraâs face inch by inch.
âI wanted to let you go, but you shouldnât fall in love with another man so quickly.â
Aurora sensed a trace of jealousy.
Her cold and wet face was slightly moved.
But then, a chill surged from the bottom of her heart and spread to her limbs and bones.
âI wonât allow anyone of the Bennet family to live a happy life. Itâs that simple.â
