Hailee's View

I open the door and Griffin walks in with a vase of flowers.

"Some guy dropped these off for you." Griffin says handing me the flowers.

I furrow my eyebrows and grab the card. I open it and read it.

"Can't wait to see you tonight, Y/n." I read out loud.

"Ooh, what are you two doing tonight?" Griffin asks.

"She invited me over for dinner." I say.

"What's for dinner?" Griffin asks.

"She didn't even tell me. She claims that it's a super private family recipe." I say.

"Keep in mind, she's from Brooklyn, New York. She's probably making some bullshit, like a peanut better sandwich with crushed up Cap'n Crunch." He says.

I laugh and he smiles.

"This is like our first official date." I say.

"Whaddya mean?" He asks.

"All those other dates were just for publicity and now we're actually into each other." I say.

"What?!" He asks.

"Did I forget to tell you?" I ask.

"Uh, yeah." He says.

"Basically our managers wanted us to pretend we liked each other and fake date. We didn't even become cordial until I took her to the hospital after I elbowed her eye." I say.

"You elbowed her eye?" He asks.

"Yeah, on accident." I say.

"So that why she was at the game looking like Patchy the Pirate." He says.

"I said the same thing!" I say.

He laughs and I smile.

"But the intrusive thoughts got the best of me and I kissed her when we were in New York. It just so happened to work out." I say.

"So are you ever gonna tell the public that?" He asks.

"I might just have to take it to the grave." I say.

He laughs and I smile.

"So?" Y/n asks as the music stops playing.

"Vocals were great, lyrics were great - mixing, production - everything was great." I say.

"You ain't even have to gargle my nuts like that. Like at what point does it become dick riding?" Y/n says.

I laugh and Y/n smiles.

"A solid 9 out of 10 album. I think it's gonna win a Grammy or two." I say.

"You should be my date." Y/n says.

"No." I say.

"What?! You're acting like you're gonna get there on your own." Y/n says.

"Excuse me?" I ask, laughing.

"My bad, that was wild as fuck." She says, scratching her head.

"What do I look like going to an awards show with you-" I ask.

"Not just any award show, the Grammys - aka Beyonce motherfucking central." She says.

"At what point does it become dick riding." I say mocking Y/n.

She stares at me and I laugh.

"What do I look like going to the Grammys with you, when you won 2 Grammys for songs that involved you shittalking me with my exes?" I ask.

"It's not even that serious." She says.

"Are you trying to downplay my feelings?" I ask.

"Here we go. Oh my god." She mumbles, looking up.

"Don't use the lord's name in vain." I say.

"Oh come on. Usher said it on that song with Will.I.Am and nobody cared. He was still at the Super Bowl glitching like he needed a damn software update. And I'm supposed to believe AI is the future?" She says.

I laugh and she smiles.

"I think you're gonna be a great mom." I say.

"Mom?" Y/n asks.

"You don't wanna have kids?" I ask.

"I kinda decided from a very early age that I didn't want them. I thought I was gonna be poor for the rest of my life so I kinda refused to have kids and put them in that situation." Y/n says.

"Well, what about now?" I ask.

"Probably not, only because of my career." Y/n says.

"We're gonna have to revisit this because no kids is kind of a deal breaker." I say.

"Of course, of course. We'll talk about it before I put some diamonds on your finger." Y/n says.

I smile and kiss her.

I go downstairs and see a note on the kitchen counter. I pick it up and read it.

"Good morning beautiful, I've got a meeting but I left some breakfast in the microwave for you. Call me later." I read.

I smile and put the note back on the counter.

Y/n's View

"Noah Woods and Isabelle Giovanni are getting married!" Steven says.

"Really?! I'll have to send them something to congratulate them." I say.

"This is a bad thing!" Steven says.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"People longer care about you and Hailee. The entire reason this started was to get people to turn their heads." Steven says.

"So?" I ask.

"What if there was someone else?" Steven asks.

"What?" I ask.

"What if you start hanging out with another woman? Going on dates and stuff. That would make their heads do a 360 like a goddamn owl." He says.

"Have you talked to Ethan about this?" I ask.

"He's the one who gave me the idea." He says.

"Just talk to Hailee and she what she says." He says.

Time Skip

"They want you to do what?" Hailee asks.

"I know, it's..." I say.

"Well, how do you feel about it?" Hailee asks.

"I guess I'm fine with it. But you're my girlfriend. I don't want you to be uncomfortable or upset with what I'd be doing." I say.

"I don't think I'd be worried about it. If Steven thinks it's a good move, do it." Hailee says.

"Okay, but when this is all over I'm gonna take you on a trip - anywhere you wanna go." I say.

"Anywhere?" She asks.

"Anywhere." I say.

She smiles and kisses me.
