2023 ECAC Hockey Championship: Harvard Crimson

After another clutch goal by Ross Mitton in double overtime last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Lake Placid to play for the Whitelaw Cup for the first time since 2015 as they play the same team they did then, Harvard for the right to hoist the Whitelaw Cup! With 18:59 left in the first period, Colton Young scored his eleventh goal of the season, on the power play to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 8:13 left in the first period, Alex Young scored his twenty-first goal of the season to make it 2-0 Raiders. Carter Gylander and Mitchell Gibson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 Hamiltonians it stands after one period of play.  With 13:59 left in the second period, Henry Thrun scored to make it 2-1 Colgate. With 10:22 left in the second period, Levi Glasman scored his third goal of the season to make it 3-1 Raiders. Gylander and Gibson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-1 Hamiltonians we stand heading to the third period. With 7:05 left in the third period, Matthew Coranato scored to make it 3-2 Colgate. Carter Gylander shuts down Harvard and Colgate is your 2023 ECAC Hockey champions by a final Of 3-2!!!
