After Alex Young was nominated for the Hobey Baker Award, the Colgate Raiders head to Ithaca, New York to play their CNY foe, the Cornell Big Red in a home and home, weekend series. With 12:53 left in the first period, Ethan Manderville scored his fifth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 1-0 Colgate. Carter Gylander and Ian Shane matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 1-0 Raiders we stand after one period of play at Lynah Rink. With 19:27 left in the second period, Zach Tupker scored to tie the game 1-1. With 18:26 left in the second period, Kyle Penney scored to make it 2-1 Cornell. With 17:07 left in the second period, Sullivan Mack scored to make it 3-1 Big Red. Gylander and Shane matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-1 Red it stands heading to the third period. With 8:51 left in the third period, Matt Verboon scored his thirteenth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 3-2 Cornell. Ian Shane finished off the Raiders and Cornell wins 3-2. Colgate dropped to 13-14-2 on the season and 10-7-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
