9-9-1: Maine Black Bears (Game 2)

After a fairly even game (aside from the scoreboard) last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Class Of 1965 Arena to finish the 2022 calendar year with the Maine Black Bears in town for the weekend series finale. Carter Gylander and Connor Androlewicz matched zeros in the first period so, no score after one period of play in Central New York. With 16:51 left in the second period, Didrik Henbrant scored to make it 1-0 Maine. With 8:06 left in the second period, Alex Young scored his twelfth goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Gylander and Androlewicz matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 1-1 we stand after two periods of play at Riggs Rink. Gylander and Androlewicz matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so, 1-1 remains our score and we'll play extra hockey because of said 1-1 tie between Colgate and Maine. Gylander and Androlewicz matched zeros in overtime so, we'll head to a shootout because of the same 1-1 tie between Colgate and Maine. All three Raider shooters score in the shootout and Colgate wins 2-1! Colgate shifted to 9-9-2 on the season!
