Chapter 18 of 60

6-7-1: Niagara Purple Eagles

Colgate Raiders: The Season 6193 words~1 min read

After a rather dominant win last Saturday, the Colgate Raiders head close to the Canadian border (as I said last time Colgate played Niagara) to play the aforementioned Niagara Purple Eagles hoping to get back over .500 for the season. With 6:31 left in the first period, Lars Rodne scored to make it 1-0 Niagara. With 2:37 left in the first period, Nick Anderson scored his second goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Carter Gylander and Chad Veltri matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 1-1 remains our score heading to period number two. With 13:28 left in the second period, Ben Raymond scored his third goal of the season to make it 2-1 Colgate. With 8 minutes left in the second period, Albin Nilsson scored to tie the game 2-2.  Gylander and Veltri matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-2 we stand after two periods of play near the Canadian border. With 7:28 left in the third period, Shane Ott scored to make it 3-2 Purple Eagles. Chad Veltri finished off the Raiders and Niagara wins 3-2. Colgate dropped to 6-8-1 on the season.
