Finding out that Lillys pregnant was a shock. We're vampires, we shouldn't be able to reproduce, but thanks to a loop hole, my beautiful wife is now carrying my child, and I can't wait till he or she is here.

I hope that we're having a girl, and looks just like her mother, she'd be a heartbreaker for sure. And I'll have my hands full, but it'll all be worth it, that I'm sure.

I have my fears, what if I'm not a good father? What if I turn out like Mikael? What if my enemies come? What if my child doesn't love me?

Lilly's tried to make me see that I'm already a good father, to Phoebe, but that's different. Phoebe's grown up, it's easier.

I've never even held a baby, apart from when Rebekah and Henrik was born, and I only held them a couple of times.

It scares me.

I snorted at my own thought, everyone would have a field day if they heard that, me, Niklaus Mikaelson, was scared of his own child.

I've never feared anything, apart from Mikael, since he had the one thing that could kill us, but now he's gone, along with the white oak stake. So there shouldn't be anything I fear. But I do and that's my own child.

People see me as someone to fear, and I like it that way, in fact I love it. Seeing the fear in others eyes as they realize who I am. But, I have a soft side that the ones I love get to see.

Lilly knows me more than anyone else, she says I'm an open book to her, but it's the same way for me. She thinks that she can close herself off, and she can to everyone else, but I see every emotion through those deep, brown, mesmerizing eyes.

Lilly is everything to me, I'd do anything for her, for example – letting her two idiotic brothers live, even though they tried to kill me, and try and take my family from me.

I love her.

I looked at the time on my phone and realized we should be getting up now, to get ready to view the house, now that's it's built, then we can get it decorated to however she wishes.

I still don't know what the house looks like, she hasn't told me, and I know she wants it to be a surprise, so I decided to not ask my hybrids.

Like I said, I'd do anything for her.

I rolled on to my side, looking at Lilly, who was still asleep with a smile on her face. I pushed the strand of hair off of her face and behind her ear. "Lilly" I whispered, making her stir, but she still didn't wake up.

I chuckled to myself, that woman can sleep like a bloody elephant. "Lilly" I mumbled as I pressed my lips against hers quickly.

"Ugh! What?" She mumbled, keeping her eyes closed. "Come on. Time to go see the house, and get it decorated" I whispered, making her open her tired eyes, smiling at me, with a look in her eyes.

She misses Phoebe.

"Don't worry, love. We'll be home soon, it'll be finished by the end of the week, I promise" I told her making her nod her head.

"Okay" She mumbled snuggling into her pillow.

She's shattered.

"I'll tell you what, get changed. We'll go check on the house, and you can tell them how you want it decorated, and we'll come back and snuggle all day and watch really sappy movies... How does that sound?" I asked her, making her nod her head.

"Perfect" She smiled before pulling my head towards hers, pressing her lips against mine.

Once we pulled away, I picked her up, carrying her into the bathroom, so we could share a shower.

I washed her down and cleaned her hair, seen as though she looked drained.

She needs to feed. Our little baby is taking all of her energy.

"Come on my lil' witch. Let's go" I pulled her towards me when I noticed what she was wearing. A tracksuit and trainers, and her hair was in a bun at the top of her head.

My beautiful girl.

She must be really tired if she's not wearing high heels, that woman loves her high heels.

"I'm sorry" Lilly whispered as we sat in the back of the car, with her head on my chest and my arm wrapped around her, keeping her close.

"What for?" I asked, confused. "It's just, I'm really tired, and today was supposed to be a good day, you get to finally see the house, and we can get it decorated, it's just I'm drained, I miss Phoebe, and this little one's taking all my energy" She spoke with tears falling down her cheeks.

"Lilly. Listen, no matter how you feel, it's not ruining the day. I get to spend the day in bed with my wife, that isn't bad. It's the best way to spend the day, doing nothing, with my beautiful wife" I told her wiping the tears away.

I need to get her some blood.

I looked around and noticed we were in town, so it was busy. "Pull over" I told my hybrid, who was driving.

As soon as he pulled over to the side of the road, I jumped out, leaving Lilly in the car. I walked up to the alley where a woman was stood. She'll do.

I walked up to her, and as soon as her eyes connected with mine, I started to compel her. "You're going to follow me, and not question it, you're just going to do it, and then when we get into my car, you're going to let my wife drink your blood until you die, and you're not going to scream or shout"

Once she repeated it back to me robotically, I walked back to the car, with the human behind me. So easy.

I opened the door, letting the human go in first, before I sat back in myself. "Why the hell have you just picked up a random human?" Lilly asked looking at the human, hungrily.

"For you to feed from" I told her, looking over at, raising my eyebrows. What else would I be doing with a human?

Lilly smiled at me before letting her face change, lettin her fangs pierce into the human's neck. And thanks to the compulsion, she didn't make a sound.

Once Lilly pulled away, the human slumped forward, making me sigh. I really didn't think this through.

I chucked the human over into the seats behind us. "Bury the body once you've dropped us off" I told my hybrid, making him nod.

I looked at Lilly, who looked a lot better. "How are you feeling?" I asked her as I pulled her towards me. "Better. Thank you" She smiled at me, as I pulled her back over to my side, tucked under my arm.

I winked at her, before pressing my lips against her. "No worries, love" I whispered as we pulled away.

The rest of the ride was quiet, as we drove to the house. Both of us content.

But as we pulled up outside the house my jaw dropped. She's out done herself.

"Do you like it?" Lilly asked looking at me worried. I nodded, smiling at her. "You truly are amazing, love" I smiled at her pressing my lips against hers, before we got out of the car.

"Wait till you see what's at the back" She smiled at me making me raise my eyebrows, interested. "And what's at the back?" I asked.

"Come" She smiled, making me roll my eyes. She's getting bossy.

As we walked through the house, I was in awe. It wasn't even decorated yet, and it still looked amazing.

But as we got to the back doors, my eyes widened. It was amazing, and perfect for our family. There was a pool, tennis court, Jacuzzi, seating area and a large patch of grass.

"You thought of everything, love" I laughed shaking my head.

"Do you reckon the others will like it?" She asked biting her lip, worried, making me chuckle. "I'm sure they'll love it, and this little one, will absolutely love it" I spoke as I placed my hand on her stomach, on the little bump, and pulling her lip from between her teeth with my other hand.

She smiled at me. "Good" I smiled, wrapping my arm around her. "Now let's tell them how you want the rooms doing. All the workers are in the rooms, so just tell them and they'll get on with it" I told her, as we walked back into the house.

For the next thirty minutes, Lilly dragged me around the house telling them how she wanted it all decorating, and I could tell that by the time it's all decorated it'll be one of our favourite houses.

Hopefully, it'll be done by tomorrow, and then we can get the furniture in, and go back to Mystic Falls, until Bekah finishes school, then we can move in.

I still don't know why she wants to go to high school.

Lilly had everyone's rooms to exactly how they would like it, making me realize she knew my siblings personalities a lot more than I thought.

The house had everything in it. All the necessary room, then a games room, indoor pool, torture room, cinema, library, an art room for me, a beauty room that was going to have everything girly in it, a witchy room for herself, which again is next to my art room, with an adjoined door, then Phoebe had her own witchy room, and a nursery for our little miracle

It had everything.

I smiled as I looked down at Lilly, who was once again wrapped in my arms as we drove off back to the hotel we were staying at, and she was sock on, with a content smile on her face.

Once we pulled up at the hotel, I picked her up, and carried her up to our room, laying her down on the bed.

I stood back and stared down at her, with a smile on my face. My eyes flickering down to her belly, before I crouched down, lifting her jacket up a little, placing my hand on her stomach.

"I hope I'll be the father you want me to be, and you don't resent me, like I did my father. I promise you, our little miracle, that I will always protect you, your mother and your big sister. No matter the odds. I love you, and so does your mother" I whispered before pressing a quick kiss onto the little bump.

I can do this. I'm Niklaus Mikaelson, the original hybrid. I can be a father.
