Today has been one of the most boring days of my long life, I woke up got changed before leaving the house and going to the grill, I couldn't stay in my room since it was still getting renovated and I wasn't going to be with dumb and dumber, so I decided this was the next best place.

I knew I had to be careful since I couldn't risk having to leave town, I was here on business and I needed to stay here until it was done, then I think I might head back to New York, it was fun there, there was plenty of stuff to do.

It wasn't like there wasn't anybody here for me to take for my liking since everyone in this small town was out to watch the Comet, but with the council still patrolling the town, I couldn't risk it.

So I spent the full day in the bar, but as it got close to the comet passing I made my way outside with a bottle of whiskey in my hand.

As I walked around I spotted Stefan talking to Elena with a candle in their hands, and being curious I decided to stick to the shadows so I could get away with listening in on their conversation.

"Yesterday that wasn't about you, okay" He reassured her, well tried. I knew that everything we said yesterday was going to be playing in her mind over and over again.

"You never said you had a brother or a sister" Elena spoke looking at him before looking back up at the comet.

"We're not close. It's complicated" Stef answered vaguely. "Always.... They told me about your ex. Katherine" Elena told him.

Stefan stared blankly at nothing for a couple of seconds before snapping out of it. "What did they say?" He asked her.

"That she broke your heart" Elena told him with sympathy. "That was a long time ago" Stef told her shaking his head.

"When you lose someone, it stays with you. Always reminding you how easy it is to get hurt" Elena told him not bothering to look at him.

"Elena..." Stef stood in front of her opening his mouth before closing it again, but he had nothing to say.

"It's okay Stefan. I get it, you have no idea how much I get it... Complicated sibling? Check. Complicated ex? Check. Too complicated to even contemplate dating? Double check. It's okay. We met, we talked and it was epic but, then the sun came up and reality set in" Elena told him before blowing out her candle and walking off.

Once she left I rushed over to stand behind Steffie. "Well it looks like you and Damon won't be re-living 1864 all over again"

"Not now Lilly" He snapped as he span around squinting his eyes at me. "Wow, don't get your panties in a twist. What happened to the sibling love?" I feigned been hurt by his comment by placing my hand over my heart.

"I tried to make it up to you, but just like Damon, you decided to make my life a living hell" I rolled my eyes as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"A sorry doesn't make everything better, brother. You pushed me away, just like the rest of the family because I apparently brought nothing but shame to the Salvatore name. What about 1858? Do you remember that?!" I snapped taking a step towards him.

"I've apologized for that" He gritted out making me chuckle. "Have I not just said a poxy sorry doesn't make everything better? You stood there and watched as Lillian and Giuseppe took a part of me away, while calling me disgrace!"

We were both stood glaring at eachother, neither of us backing down, well that was until Matt came running over to us.

"Hey, have you seen my sister?" I took my eyes off Steffie to look over at Elena's ex. "No, sorry"

"I can't find her. She's missing" He explained sounding worried, but I wasn't too surprised since she has just been involved in an 'animal' attack.

"I'll keep an eye out for her" Stefan nodded before going to walk away but Matt stopped him. "Hey! I saw you at the hospital, yesterday"

"Did you?" Stefan questioned slowly walking back over to the human. "What were you doing there?"

"Visiting" Matt scrunched his eyebrows together staring at Steffie. "Visiting?" He looked him over before he started talking about how he's known Elena for a very long time and he'll always look out for her, but I tuned him out as I could hear Damon's voice coming from somewhere.

I smirked looking over at Matt before flicking my eyes over to Stef. "I'm gonna go look about for your sister" I spoke not taking my eyes off Stef as I walked backwards before I quickly turned around and making sure nobody sees me before I rushed up to the roof of a building.

As I joined them they were stood on the ledge of the building as he tormented her of her falling to her death.

"This seems fun" Damon looked over at me smirking. "Ah, Lilly, my favourite sibling... Stefan's such a broody guy" Damon sighed dramatically making me roll my eyes.

"Is Damon Salvatore going soft in his old age? I haven't been your sister for a while" I reminded him before looking over at the freaked out human.

"And that was wrong of me and I'm sorry" I flicked my eyes back at Damon raising my eyebrows. "I'm sorry that I allowed father to do all that to you instead of standing up for you. You're my twin, I should have stuck by you, and for that, I am deeply sorry and I will make it up to you for the rest of my life"

I stared at him for a while not knowing whether to believe him or not, I wanted to because no matter how many times I try and deny it, I miss my twin brother.

Before magic got involved we were the best of friends, always causing mischief but then that all ruined when I tapped into my magic.

"So, are you going to let me join in the fun?" I questioned raising my eyebrows as I looked over at Vicki.

Before Damon could even say anything, the buzz kill joined us with his hero hair on. "Not bad, have you been eating bunnies again?"

"Let her go" Stefan begged walking over to Damon who still had hold of the human at the ledge of the building.

"Ok" Damon shrugged looking down at the floor below us before he acted as if he was going to let her fall. "No, no, no"

Damon laughed as he flung the human over to a panicked Stefan. "Relax, I don't need her to be dead, but you might" Damon shrugged looking down at the human who was sobbing.

"What attacked you the other night?" Damon questioned her making her look at him. "I don't know, an animal"

"Are you sure about that?" He questioned as he bent down to be level with her. "Think. Think about it. Think really hard... what attacked you?"

She looked down at the floor before he eyes suddenly snapped up to Damon pushing herself away from him. "Vampire"

"Who did this to you?!" He questioned again. "You did!" She shouted back at him. "Wrong!"

"Don't" Stefan shook his head. "Oh please do" I chuckled knowing what Damon was about to do.

"Stefan" Damon whispered making her look up at said boy as Damon helped her up off the floor away from him. "Don't" Stef begged again.

Damon looked over at Stef before grabbing the humans face, connecting his eyes with hers. "Stefan Salvatore did this to you"

"Stefan Salvatore did this to me" She repeated before Damon went back to the compulsion. "He's a vampire. A vicious, murderous, monster"

"Please, Damon. Please don't do this" Stef begged and it made my smirk grow knowing that Stef was screwed big time.

"You couldn't fix it before. I don't know what your gonna do now" Damon looked over at Stef before ripping the bandage off the humans neck revealing 2 puncture holes.

I looked over at Stef who had his eyes trained on the blood from the puncture holes before Damon flung her over to him.

"Your choice of lifestyle has made you weak" Damon started as Stefan had his face close to the humans neck, making me get my hopes up that he was gonna join us over on the dark side.

"A couple of vampire parlour tricks? That's nothing compared to the power you could have, that you now need" Damon chuckled watching as Steffie struggled at the smell of fresh human blood, the veins appearing under his eyes.

"But, you can change that. Human blood, gives you that" Damon smirked just as Stef flung the human onto the floor before he bent over with his hands on his legs trying to sort himself out, but no matter how much he tries to deny the blood, he'll always want some.

It doesn't help the fact that he starves himself from it, if he had fed off humans all the time he would have a hold on his ripper ways, but he has no control now, it's too late.

"You have 2 choices. You could feed and make her forget, or you can let her run screaming vampire through the town square" Damon spoke leaning down a little while he spoke.

"That is what this is about? You wanna expose me?" Stefan spoke through his heavy breathing.

"No! I want you to remember who you are!" Damon spoke looking down at Stef.

"Why? So what, so I'll feed? So I'll kill? So I'll remember what it's like to be siblings again?" He asked looking between me and Damon. "You know, let her go. Let her tell everyone that vampires have returned to Mystic Falls. Let them chain me up and let them drive a stake through my heart, because at least I'll be free from the 2 of you"

I wasn't going to lie, his comment hurt but like I've always done, I buried it away not letting anyone see how much it hurt.

Damon let out a small laugh before walking over to Vicki. "Wow. Come here sweetheart" Damon whispered as he helped her up giving me a soft smile before looking back at her before putting his lips against her ear so he could whisper something into it.

He's compelled her to forget everything. Of course he did, he needed to stay in town and he couldn't risk letting the council finding out about us.

Once the human left Damon chuckled placing his hands on his hips. "It's good to be home. I think I might stay a while. This town could use a bit of a wakeup call don't you think?"

"What are you up to Damon?" Stefan questioned looking at him. "That's for me to know and for you to dot, dot, dot" He snorted shaking his head. "Give Elena my best" He smirked at him before jumping off the roof.

I looked over at Stef who was now looking at me. "Oh no, don't bring me into this. This is between you 2, I'm not involved" I shook my head before jumping off the building myself and heading home.

I didn't want to get involved in their drama, I just wanted to hurry up and get the hell out of this town, I was starting to break.
