Chapter 29: Second Kiss

Hope | ✔1,545 words~8 min read

"Don't kiss me during fireworks.

Kiss me after and give everyone else something to look at once the chaos had passed.

Don't kiss me when you don't know what else to say, kiss me when that's all that needs to be said.

Don't kiss me at all the right times, kiss me mid-sentence because my lips were moving and you were jealous of the air because they weren't moving on yours.

Don't read up on old fairytales, i don't want a fairytale. I want real and in the moment.

So kiss me when your up in flames and about to burst.

Kiss me when the tears are real.

Just kiss me hard and kiss me good."

Fabian made his way back into the house with a scowl on his face. For more than one reason.

1) Malakai thought it to be appropriate to comment in the car "your girl is hot as hell for a highschool girl."

That one comment almost ended both their lives in one second because it caused Fabian to swerve and almost collide with a truck. Malakai was now sporting a new tattoo of a fist on his arm.

2) The boy who was holding Jaimie-mae in his arms was apparently one of Flora's boy toys and he was part of the gang that sent that car after Fabian that night.

So now he had to worry about Flora getting the gang to come after him.

And 3) His dad's car was now in the drive way.

He ran up the stairs, taking two at a time and he went into his room and closed the door behind him.

He almost choked at what he saw.

Jaimie-mae was standing in the bathroom connected to his room with the door half-way open. She had his shirt on, but it was slipping down one side of her shoulder. She had no pants on and she was busy checking a bruise forming on her hip, completely unaware of Fabian's wandering eyes. Her hair was damp and curly from the shower she had just finished taking and a few drops landed on her face and neck, trailing down to the shirt.

"Shit, she's beautiful," he whispered to himself.

He walked further into his room and cleared his throat.

Jaimie-mae screamed and just about jumped three feet in the air.

She quickly closed the door and Fabian laughed loudly at her embarresment.

He could hear mumbling from behind the door and he shook his head in amusement.

Seven minutes later she walked out with a frown as she held up the pants he gave her in one hand.

"Fabian, they just fall around my ankles. Do you have anything smaller?" She asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Maybe. Let me check."

Fabian tried to ignore how pretty she looked. He tried to ignore the twinkle in her blue eyes. He tried to ignore her calm smile. He tried to ignore how happy she made him. But he couldn't.

He also tried hard to ignore the flutters of his heart. They were middleschool feelings, he told himself. He tried to ignore the little shivers he'd get when she'd brush his skin with her delicate fingers. He tried to ignore her sweet personality. Or how brave she was. How strong she was. He tried to ignore her fighting spirit, all so that he wouldn't fall any further.

What he could ignore though, were the forming bruises on her body. Or the cuts she'd gotten from the fight. Those didn't matter. He didn't have to ignore them because he didn't even notice them when he neared her. He was too busy taking in her absolutely stunning looks.

He gently grabbed the hand holding the bunched up material of his sweats and he laced his fingers with hers. The sweats dropped and pooled around her feet, but not once did he take his eyes off of her face. He kissed the knuckles of her hand and immediately goose bumps rose up on her skin.

Jaimie-mae stepped out of the sweats slowly as she kept her eyes locked with Fabian's. She had never been this exposed around a boy before. This was all so new. But all so... exilarating.

He didn't make her feel self concious about herself because the admiration in his eyes didn't ever dissapear. Not even when they slowly trailed down her bare legs and lingered at her hips.

He delicately placed his large warm hand on her waist and trailed them slowly up and down the sides of her thighs. She shivered as he carressed her with gentle care.

"Do your bruises hurt if i touch them like this?" he asked with a low husky voice.

"N-no."

Jaimie-mae suddenly felt tingly and warm. She placed her hand over his and swept it up under her shirt. She let go and his hand brushed softly along her flat stomach. He walked her backwards until the back of her legs hit his bed. She fell backwards into the soft comforters and he inched her up further so that she was fully on the bed.

"Is this okay?"

She nodded.

His hands trailed further up until they brushed right beneath her sports bra and her breath got caught in her throat. She suddenly forgot how to breathe, but the air rushed back when his hands trailed back down to her waist.

"You are so very beautiful," Fabian said quietly as he neared her face with his.

"I am?" Jaimie-mae's voice came out breathless.

He nodded. "You are."

She laughed lightly. "Thank you. You are so very handsome."

"I am?" He said, mocking her.

She nodded just as he did. "You are."

"I know."

Jaimie-mae let a melodic laugh escape her and Fabian smiled at her.

He couldn't seem to help himself when he placed his plump, red lips on her hers. She froze under him in surprise and then melted into the bed. When she finally caught herself she kissed back eagerly.

He pulled back with a smile on his face. "This is now officially our second kiss."

Jaimie-mae furrowed her eyebrows. "We haven't kissed before."

"Yeah we have. We kissed the day i basically died."

Jaimie-mae's eyes widened and Fabian immediately backtracked.

"Sorry, did i say the wrong thing?"

"No."

"Oh, okay. Well, can i kiss you again?"

She smiled brightly. "Yes, you may."

He lowered himself down, careful not to rest too much of his weight on her and kissed her again. This time she responded right away.

One small hand trailed up to his jaw and held it carefully. The other was placed into the roots of his silky ruffled hair as she kissed him back.

Fabian's hand trailed down to her waist and the other to her jaw, tilting her head up slightly so he could kiss her with more fire.

Fabian had never kissed anyone like he did with Jaimie-mae. This kiss was filled with something different. It was gentler and feelings were poured into it. It wasn't a simple kiss. It meant something; for the both of them. Different things maybe, but it damn well meant something.

When Fabian pulled back he could see the red on Jaimie-mae's face and her hair was sprawled around her in an elegantly flowy way. He knew he had to let Jaimie-mae catch her breath, but he just couldn't seem to get enough.

He lowered himself down again and kissed her right cheek. Then her left. Then her jaw. Then he peppered kisses down her neck. He then brushed his lips across her collar bones. He could feel Jaimie-mae fidgeting under him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Y-yes. I... i've never really done anything like this."

He smiled against her neck. "That's okay. I like that. We won't do anything your not ready for. I wasn't planning on doing much more than this."

"Oh okay."

He went back to kissing her neck and then inched up to right under her ear, right on the side of her jaw. He kissed it and then playfully bit down on the skin there to see if he'd get a reaction.

She sucked in a breath and her hand wound around his hair again. "Did you just bite me?"

"Yes," he said with a chuckle.

"Oh. You're weird."

He laughed. But that's when he suddenly remembered that she was only seventeen. She was young and and by her reactions to him, she most likely hadn't even had a boyfriend before.

In fact, in a few weeks, he was turning twenty.

He abrubtly jumped off of Jaimie-mae and she shot up into a sitting position.

Fabian suddenly felt guilty. What was he doing?

His eyes trailed over her figure again and he growled in frustration.

He pulled out some shorts with draw strings and threw them at her.

"If you need me, i'll be in my bathroom," he said as he walked backwards, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. He was taking one last look at Jaimie-mae's flatteringly, flushed figure but it quickly backfired on him when he tripped and fell onto his butt. He shot up off the ground and glared at Jaimie-mae, immediately silencing her giggles.

"I'll be taking a cold shower," he mumbled, before slamming the bathroom door shut behind him.
