CHAPTER THREE

Sakyja's Sweetening

"He just wants you to meet them and hang out for a while .." Sakyja's mother, Sakina said.

"I can't believe you just so.... okay with this. I don't know them." Ky said, stirring her iced cranberry juice with the metal straw.

"I've know him for a while .. He's not like that or I swear by yo dead beat daddy I would not be trying to send you with his nephew and them" Her mother reassured.

"As long as Jaliy can come with me, I'm cool" Ky said, biting on the straw, looking into her mother's eyes for any signs of nervousness.

Ky knew her mom wouldn't put her into any danger but she couldn't help to over think. She was an arkward person, she didn't fool around with friends and crowds. It took her entire freshman year and half of sophomore to get accustomed to Jaliy.

"Oh Im fasho going. I don't care, I don't care" Jaliy said nodding her head with her lips pursed.

"Girl you was going any way. Ms. I don't care" Sakina said laughing.

"Ma it's 10 in the morning .. Are we supposed to go now?" Ky asked.

"Sometimes I worry about you. Why would I send y'all over there and y'all haven't even washed y'all ass. No, my special baby, not right now." Sakina said, rubbing her daughter's head and cheek.

"You always tryna be funny" Ky said, rolling her eyes and pushing her mom's hands off her face.

"Girl they don't call me Kevin Hart Jr for nun." Sakina said, laying out on the couch.

"No one calls you that tho?" Jaliy more of questioned, following Ky back to her room.

"Shut yo ass up" Sakina said, flipping through the channels.

1:02 pm .

"I just dont know these people, what makes her think I'm going to want to be friends with them" Ky ranted to Liy, scrubbing her body in the shower.

"Ion know but she wouldn't put us in danger. Hurry up tho, I gotta get in too" Jaliy said, sitting on the toilet with her towel laying in her lap.

"You could of got in with me" Ky said, rolling her eyes.

"You be all over the shower, can't stay in one damn area" Jaliy said.

"Ight get in for the hot water run out" Ky said stepping out, wrapping her towel around her body.

As Jaliy showered, Ky got her self ready. She decided she didn't know these people and they were no one to impress so she would dress regular.

Ky put lotion all over her body then applied her rub on body oil to her neck and other areas. She slipped into some pink loose fit joggers with a black crop top. She then slipped on some socks and put on her pink, white, and black Jordan 1's. She put on her necklace and anklet and started to fix up her hair, looking into the mirror that was connected to the dresser.

"Reach me that" Liy said pointing at the lotion with one hand, the other holding her towel on her body.

"Hm" Ky passed it.

Jaliy also put lotion all over her body. Jaliy decided to wear an oversized graphic tee of Spongebob with black joggers, paired with her plain black Tasman Ugg slippers.

It was hot outside but her uggs were so comfortable to her.

"Alright come on. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can leave" Ky said grabbing her keys off the dresser.

"Alright.." Liy said throwing her damp hair into a curly bun.

"What's the address Ma?" Ky asked her mom, walking off the last step.

"I texted it to you. I promise they are not bad kids. Y'all will have fun. Isaiah also already told his nephew y'all were coming to hang out. His name is Juke " Sakina said looking at both of the girls.

Ky knew to take her mother's word because she would never intentionally put them into danger. Especially not a child that wasn't hers.

"I hear you ma. We gone." Ky said, hugging her mom then walking out the door, Jaliy following her after saying bye as well.

Jaliy put the address into the GPS and they were there in the matter of 15 minutes.

"So what we do knock and say we here to hang out?" Jaliy asked, laughing.

"I don't even know. I guess" Ky said.

"Imma just knock. This only a one time thing.." Ky added on, getting out the car grabbing her phone. Jaliy grabbed her phone and got out as well.

Knock Knock

"What you need?" A male came to open the door, a bag of marijuana in his hand.

"Oh, I don't want to purchase any marijuana sir. I'm here for Juke?" Ky said, well more of questioned.

These ain't no damn good kids, they're trying to sell me drugs.

"Oh, my fault. You Ky? My cousin in law basically? I'm Juke" He said, frantically stuffing the drugs into his pockets.

"Mhm, I guess. This Jaliy. Hope it wasn't a bother to bring her" Ky said walking in, not really caring if it was a bother.

"Wassup Jaliy." The boy eyed her, licking his lips, only getting a nod in response.

The 3 walked into the living room where 3 other boys and a girl sat. The girl sitting on one of the boy's lap.

"Aye yall this Ky, my lil cousin, and her friend Jayla" Juke introduced.

The boy purposely misnamed her. He wanted to hear her voice.

"It's Jaliy" Liy said blinking her eyes at him.

"My fault lil one" He said lightly laughing and raising his hands in some sort of surrender, looking down at her.

"I'm Mera, This MY boyfriend, Tae" The girl sitting in who seemed to be Tae's lap said.

"Oh." Ky and Liy both said.

"I was just letting it be known. You know just in case" Mera said again with a fake smile.

"And we said oh" Ky and Liy both said, making the girls smile drop.

Mera was used to being the only girl around minus the hoes the others boys brought around from time to time. She felt threatened.

"I'm Saun" The boy sitting on the other couch said. He was light skin with waves and his light brown eyes was looking the 2 girls up and down. He was observing them.

"That's Sama" Saun spoke again, pointing to the boy who was sitting next to him.

"Sama" hadn't looked up from his phone since the 2 girls walked in.

"Hey."Ky greeted still standing in the middle of the floor. Liy decided to sit down because it looked clean and she wasn't going to stand up like an idiot the whole time. She didn't give a fuck who house it was, she was gone be comfortable.

He finally looked up and his blue eyes met with Ky's brown ones. He looked her up and down while licking his lips slowly. Her stared at her outfit as if he was processing it through his brain. He expected her to have on jeans and a full fit just to sit on the block. Most of the girls he knew did that. He didn't respond, looking back down at his phone.

"That was rude as heck" Ky said sitting on the love seat, earning a chuckle from Osama.

"She doesn't like cussing around people she doesn't know. She think that anyone can hear and that may "jeopardize" her future." Liy said.

"I came to the door with weed, I don't think anyone here is of that kind of importance" Juke said laughing, making everyone else laugh too except Mera.

"So how old are y'all?" Mera asked.

"Just 17 in January" Ky answered looking at the girl.

"Same but in March" Liy said too, but looking at Juke. She thought he was cute. He wouldn't find that out though.

"Oh y'all are lil girls " Mera said, chuckling in Ky's face, earning a frown from her.

Ky didn't care what she was saying. She frowned because she had noticed Tae didn't speak to her either. 2 people didn't speak to her and now she felt unwanted.

"I've had a job since 14. Been saving money since 14. Had my mom get my first car brand new with my money at the beginning of my sophomore year. Still working and saving and have scholarships stacked for when I graduate. If that's lil girl status to you, then I guess" Jaliy said shrugging her shoulders, staring back into the girls face.

"Oop" Juke said eyeing between the 2 girls.

"Never a lil girl." Ky said, keeping it simple.

"Oop" Juke said again.

"Stop being an instigator. It's nuffin fr" Mera killed the situation. Even though she was going to say something slick later.

"Y'all smoke?" Saun asked .

"I do, she doesn't" Jaliy said.

"You roll?" Saun asked, passing her the gars and weed.

"Yea I got you." Jaliy answered back.

"So you don't smoke or cuss?" Mera asked Ky.

"I don't smoke at all but I do cuss when I feel like it. I just don't know y'all like that." Ky answered, focusing on her game that she was playing on her phone.

"That's cute" Sama said with a laugh.

That made Ky look up and furrow her eyebrows.

"And how is that exactly?" Ky asked.

"Nothing.. You just talk smart as hell, that's cute to me." Sama said looking into the girl's eyes deeply.

"You can look up for him but not me." Mera said.

"I do what I want." Ky said.

"Y'all chill" Saun said.

"What? I was just saying" Ky said. She didn't really see a problem in what she said.

"She wasn't trying to be petty or funny. If she was y'all would know, I promise" Jaliy said laughing, breaking the weed down as Juke stared at her.

"So what y'all be doing or whatever?" Saun asked.

"Work and being at the house" Ky answered for both of them.

"Y'all don't go out and do nun? No parties or nun?" Sama asked. He liked homebodies. Somebody only he knew forreal.

" Nope. I just go to work then come home and

watch cartoons and stuff" Ky answered again, making Mera laugh.

"And what exactly about that tickled your clit?" Jaliy asked. She had let her last few slick comments slide but she felt some type of way now.

"Oh nothing. Just that she almost grown and don't cuss, smoke, or party AND watches cartoons. Might as well not be a teenager" Mera said still lightly laughing.

" What I do is none of your business anyways and doesn't affect you so Im confused on why that's such a knee slapper for you. And at least i'm not out here getting fucked on. Everything I do helps me in the long run" Ky snapped off.

"BINGO. She cussed" Juke said laughing, earning a mug from Liy and a face fall from Ky.

" I didn't mean to" Ky frowned, embarrassed.

Bad first impression.

"You trying to say I get fucked on or something? I fuck with and only ever fucked with Tae. Kill all that lil ass girl." Mera said mugging Ky.

"Chill." Tae's deep voice said.

This was the first time he had spoken out so it kind of shocked Ky. She looked at him as he scanned the room looking into everyone's faces.

"Baby I'm saying whatever you think I'm trying to say. What y'all got to eat in here?" Ky asked Juke, dismissing the conversation with Mera.

"It's some chips and stuff in there in the cabinets." Juke answered pointing into the kitchen.

Ky got up walking into the kitchen. She opened some cabinets and looked around, grabbing the snacks her and Jaliy would want.

"Scuse' me" A deep voice said, brushing against her and walking to the fridge.

A deep voice that belonged to Osama.

"So your 17 right? A baby" He said laughing, grabbing a water bottle and leaning against the counter.

"I guess you can say that" Ky responded, looking through more cabinets, not paying him any attention really.

"An innocent sweetheart but a short temper. A school head all about her work but an athlete." He said while eyeing her frame. She was very small but not a alerting or alarming kind of small. She was average in height but she was little and that shocked him. 5'4 and 130 pounds he assumed. She had a butt tho, he liked that.

"Okay Spencer Reid, What's this all about? Why are you profiling me?" Ky asked, stopping in her tracks and letting her hands slap against the counter before turning around and facing him.

"I just think your cute." He said, laughing at her frowned up face that was staring up at him.

"So your trying to plot on me? You know my moms tell me al-" Ky started, shaking her head.

"Your mom? So I missed something. A mommy's girl" Sama laughed, cutting her off and irritating her in the process.

Corny.

"Could you not cut me off, it's rude. And yes my mom. She tells me all about guys like you. How old are you?" Ky asked getting drinks out of the refrigerator.

"19 and what are guys like me?" He answered.

"Guys that look for younger girls. Especially the younger ones that are innocent and naive so they can string them along and exploit them, just to get them pregnant and left high and dry. I won't be her, I'm sorry" Ky said, grabbing the snacks and walking back into the living room.

"Damn why you got so many snacks? Imma need an EBT up off you." Juke said laughing, watching the girl sit down and drop all of the chips and cookies onto the spot next to her.

"This for me and Jaliy. She gets really hungry when she's smokes. I don't know why tho." Ky answered.

"The munchies" Saun said.

"I think I heard of that but not all about it. Tell me some." Ky asked with pure confusion drawn on her face.

" The munchies. Smoking increases your appetite." Saun said.

"Oh" Ky replied. She was sorting through what she picked for her self and threw the rest over to Jaliy.

"Thank you" Liy said, pulling from the blunt then passing it to Juke.

Ky just nodded her head before looking at the text message from her mom.

Ky looked up and seen Mera staring right into Liy's face. She was no longer sitting in Tae's lap and he was gone. He must have left while she was in the kitchen of texting her mom back.

"Can I help you out or some?" Liy asked pulling from the blunt, laughing.

" Girl what?" Mera asked, playing dumb.

"Pass me the blunt" Tae said coming back from where ever he went.

"Hmm Ky, pass him that" Jaliy said holding it out to Ky.

"Ummm ok" Ky said holding her 2 fingers out how she seen Liy reach for it.

Her long square nails becoming a problem in the exchange. Her nails twisted off of each other making a noise that made Ky cringe and her whole body shudder, as the blunt fell onto her bare thigh.

"Fuckkk. That burned." Ky said. Mentally face palming her self in embarrassment.

"Duddeeeeee" Juke laughed all extra, clapping his hands and slapping into Saun's back.

"Chill out." Saun said, coughs interrupting his laughter.

"Y'all trippin, wasn't even funny for real." Tae said, then pulling from the blunt.

"She know how to pass a blunt, just want attention" Mera mumbled. No one really heard her because of how loud the laughter in the room was.

"Hm bae" Tae said trying to pass the blunt to Mera.

"I'm good." Mera said, looking at Ky. If she wanna to act like a goody two shoes for attention, she would too.

"When have you ever passed up a hit? Thats crazzyyyy" Sama said.

"I just don't feel like it today" Mera said.

"Aw dats coo" Saun said, grabbing the blunt. He wasn't finna interrogate nobody on why they didn't wanna smoke. Just keep the blunt in rotation.

"So what you gone do Ky? Just sit there?" Mera asked. She was going to try to talk Ky into trying weed so she wouldn't stand out and be the innocent one anymore and get all the attention.

"What y'all finna talk about? Jaliy always asks funny things when she gets high"Ky smiled unintentionally ignoring the girl's question. She was excited for the jokes to roll in.

"Not you trying to get us under the influence for your own entertainment" Sama said, making a laugh escape from Ky's lips.

"Y'all be funny tho" Ky laughed.

"Ok yall listen .." Juke said.

"Here we go" Saun said, shaking his head and laughing.

"So i'm not a virgin and I take someone's virginity. Doesn't that make me now a virgin? Juke asked.

"No because while you gaining her virginity, you would be loosing it." Jaliy said.

"Who pacificked her ?" Juke said with an eyebrow raised.

"You mean specified?" Ky asked laughing super hard.

"Do that even matter? Dude just came out the closet." Saun said, mouth wide open.

"At least he can dress" Sama said laughing.

"Tbh you coo, you funny, you can dress" Ky and Liy said at the same time reaching over and slapping eachothers shoulder, dying of laughter.

"What?" Mera asked.

"Inside joke" Liy said still laughing.

"So you gay?" Tae asked Juke with his face bubbled up. He hadn't laughed at anything. He was high out of his mind. Being high made him calm and almost sedated. It was like he was in another world.

"No nigga. Who told you that?" Juke said.

"You just- you a dumbass" Saun said laughing.

"Why is your name Sun? Because you light like the sun?" Ky asked.

"It's Saun. Spelt S A U N not S U N. And it's because of my real name." Saun said passing Jaliy another gar and some weed.

"Oh. What's your real name?" Ky asked making Mera look at her sideways. Saun only told the boys his real name so if he told Ky, Mera promised her self to say something.

"That's fed." Saun said, making Mera smile to herself.

"Fed? What's that?" Ky said confused.

"Federal. Like the government Ky, the police" Liy said.

"Ohhh. I knew that, I'm not a snitch if that's what you thinking. I minds my business" Ky said.

"I know kid " Saun said nodding his head and laughing at the girl.

"Kid? I'm grown." Ky said with a scoff.

"You and Liy are the youngest ones in here and your literally the smallest thing in here." Sama laughed.

"I'm not small, y'all are just big." Ky said nodding her head in confidence of her comeback.

"I'm not big" Mera said scoffing.

"You over there looking like a pack of hamburger buns" Sama geeked on her making everyone laugh except Tae.

"Chill out dude" Tae said with a blank expression.

Tae knew that Mera had felt some type of way about the girls just popping up and being welcome to hang out with them. He didn't agree with how she was going about it and the slick things she said but he wasn't going to let anybody try to joke on her. Especially not in front of new people. That was embarrassing.

"We always joke. Get out yo shit foo." Sama said back.

"No because this new girl come around and you gone agree with her and laugh with her when you've known me longer. That's grimey. I don't care if it's hilarious, you shouldn't have said that or laughed because she basically a stranger trying to be funny bout a girl who you've known for so long." Mera snapped off, twisting her neck with every other word.

"It's never that serious y'all. Come on now, chill" Saun said, being the father of the friend group right now.

"No he just taking far extremes to get some young pussy" Mera said looking smack dead in Ky's face.

"What? You've been picking with me since I got here and I don't like that. Stop trying to make it seem like I came around and caused so many problems because your an insecure ass person. I will say what I want to say. Y'all are big. I am 5'4 and y'all are - matter fact I don't have to explain shit to you the fuck? You bitter as hell about possibly not being the main focus around here no more. And young pussy? Bitch ain't nobody fucking on me. You heavy on the word young. If my young ass got you intimidated, just say that." Ky snapped, face  flashing red as she looked back into Mera's eyes to let her know that she wasn't playing any games.

Everyone sat in silence staring between the 2 girls. No one said anything. Everyone noticed Mera's change in attitude the minute Ky and Liy walked into the door. They also knew Mera's personality. She was going to pick with AT LEAST one of the girls. That girl happened to be Ky. It was inevitable for an argument not to happen.

"Aye watch your mouth. She ain't called you out you name so chill." Tae spoke, pushing his dreads out his face.

Tae was a darker brown skin tone but not exactly dark skin. He stood at about 6'5. His long legs taking up a lot of his body. He had his dark brown dreads in 2 strand twists. His hair wasn't extremely long but it was getting there. He had brown eyes and almost perfectly shaped eyebrows with long eyelashes. His jaw line was very visible, giving him a mean menacing look. His lips weren't that full but he kept them moisturized which gave them a very appealing look.

"Y'all got lil Ky cussing and now Tae saying some? Lord if this the end, let me know now. I would like to repent." Juke said, dropping to his knees and extending his arms out.

"She shouldn't have said shit to me in the first place. I have said nothing to her or even looked at her in a wrong way. She has constantly initiated conversation with me to be in MY business. What the fuck? On my dead ass deadbeat ass daddy, you ain't checking shit over here" Ky spoke, raising her chest at him since he looked so intimidating.

Tae knew she wasn't wrong but he wasn't going to agree with her. Mera was his girlfriend so he was riding with her right or wrong.

"Look cut this shit out. Mera leave her alone and Ky stop cussing." Sama said, fed up with their arguing.

"This stuff don't matter, I won't even be back over here." Ky said unlocking her phone and scrolling through her home screen. She wasn't looking at anything but she wanted them to know she was done with the conversation.

"Chilllll. You good company lil cous" Juke said smiling.

That made Ky smile. She felt unwanted there. Everybody smoking and she wasn't. Everybody cussing and she didn't do that a lot. 2 of the boys not speaking to her. Then one continuously tries to spit game at her and the other trying to check her about his bitter girlfriend. Juke telling her that she was good company made her ease up because she was 3 minutes from waking up Liy and leaving.

"Plus you still got some time with us. Lil Liy in a weed coma." Saun said laughing.

"How old are y'all? I never got to ask." Ky asked.

"19" Saun and Sama answered.

" Me and Tae a be 19 in July." Juke answered for him and Tae.

"I'll be 20 next month" Mera answered making Ky cough.

"Ohhh okay" Ky said replying to everyone.

Ky began to get sleepy. She didn't know whether it was because she had second hand smoker's syndrome, something her and Liy had made up, or they poisoned her. Sama drunk some of the water too but he looked fine to her.

"You look tired. You can lay on this couch. I'll switch with you." Saun said making Ky feel at ease. Something about him screamed "protection" to her.

"Yea I will. Y'all don't have no bed bugs or none right?" Ky asked, texting her mom. She was telling her all of their names and ages so that if she didn't make it home she would know who she was with.

"Don't even play like that" Juke said rolling his eyes and folding his arms, turning his head with sass.

"I'm geekin" Ky said laughing, trying to sound like Sama.

"mmmmmhmmhh" Saun said peeping her.

Ky laid down where Saun was once sitting and slowly fell asleep.

4:08 pm.

"Come on Ky, we gotta be at work" Liy said while shaking Ky out her sleep.

"Hmm?" Ky asked, clearly still in a sleep daze.

"Work.. We have work" Liy said shaking her some more to wake her even though Ky hated it.

Ky leaned up feeling her feet in someone's lap. It was Sama. She didn't have her shoes on and the only thing that was on her feet was her socks and anklet.

"Y'all took my shoes? That's how we doing it?" Ky asked looking around only seeing Juke laid out on the couch and Saun balled up in the love seat. It seemed like everyone dozed off. Tae and Mera were gone and Ky couldn't feel any more happier.

"Girl they on the floor. I'm starting to think youn smoke weed because you onnat other stuff" Liy said mentally face palming her self.

Ky rolled her eyes and slowly and smoothly pulled her feet from out of Sama's lap. She didnt want to accidentally do anything even though it seemed as if he was in such a deep sleep.

Ky pushed her feet into her shoes and fixed the laces. She grabbed her phone and went to grab her keys off the kitchen counter.

"You think they would want us to come back? It was cool over here" Jaliy said.

"Yea it was cool and I'd come back but it seem like that girl don't like me for whatever reason. Which Im guessing is causing her boyfriend not to like me either." Ky said shrugging.

"Okay? Your cousin invited us. He had no problems with anything we did so therefore that girl or her ugly ass nigga can't tell us where we can and can't come" Liy said.

"How would we even know when to come back anyway? Did you think of that?" Ky said with a confused face.

"Juke gave me his number" Liy said with a blush.

"Ohhh girllaaaaa" Ky said slapping her friends shoulder with a smirk.

"It's not like that. At least not yet. I just met him. I really do like his vibe tho" Jaliy said in an assuring tone.

"You like his vibe because your a funny ass dumbass and he's one too." Ky said with a laugh walking out the front door.

"Oh now you wanna cuss? You can't cuss with them but you gone step with me huh?" Liy said laughing and also walking out, locking the lock that was in the door handle before closing it.

She wasnt gone be the reason nobody got blasted on.

"Umm because ion know them folks like that" Ky said in a duh tone while unlocking the doors and getting in her car.

"Plus it's just not me. I don't like when people cuss at me, of course except you and Ma nem, so i'm not gone cuss at nobody else" Ky added on after Jaliy got in the car.

"I hope you come out your shell some Ky. I understand you have your anxious times and your focused on setting a good image for yourself but we're only kids. This is the time we should be partying and smoking and cussing. Of course i'm not trying to control you or force you to do anything you don't want to but at least loosen up bae" Liy said with pleading eyes.

Jaliy met Ky in 9th grade. It took her 2 years to even get to Ky. Ky let people pick over her and say things and would not stand up for herself because she wanted to be somebody. She didn't want fights on her record. She didn't want people to see her at parties drunk. She thought of everything so carefully. Her anxiety getting the best of her almost all of the time. Jaliy came in and did everything for her that Ky couldn't do for herself.

Jaliy started taking up for her and being by her side and Ky slowly started to loosen up. She started cursing with Jaliy. She started dressing differently. Her anxiety calmed down and the real her came out. Her style, her personality, her vibe. It all started to show.

Jaliy at first felt like she had changed her and it wasn't for the better but Ky would always remind her that those where the things she always wanted to do, she just needed a boost. But Jaliy couldn't help to notice how Ky would fall into her episodes and shut completely down. She wanted Ky to be consistent with who she was. Nobody better to be in a world than your true self.

"I know Liy. I just have troubles sometimes. I deal with a lot. I don't fit the standard everyone has. It really hurt my feelings when he called me small. Shit Im trying to gain weight. I feel judged when everyone looks at me. Most people see me as pretty but I see my self different. I see the flat chest. I see the skinny legs. I see the pig ass nose. I see that Liy." Ky spoke while driving.

"I see my self as a meal ticket.Ma nem not gone be here forever. I got to and I meant absolutely have to take care of my mama, Ms.Tenisha, and Pops. I got to Liy. My mama telling me her story only makes me want to push harder. I want them all in a house that they OWN. I want Pops to sit down somewhere. You can't tell me he's not still in the game. " Ky added on.

"But you still need to live for you Sakyja. You still need your air. You still need your freedom. Your not a meal ticket. Your somebody who deserves to live a good fun life like any other teenager. I continuously wonder when will you understand that. You always putting somebody before yourself." Jaliy said, burning a hole in the side of Ky's face.

"I do get it. I promise I do. I just don't care. I'm sorry if that wasn't worded right. I don't care if i have to stay in the house 24/7. I don't care if I have to miss out on some parties. I also want to do this for me. I want to make my self proud. I deserve it. That's all." Ky explained wiping her tears that she didn't even know was there until she felt hot liquid running down her cheeks.

"I hear you Ky. I'm not gone pester you about it. I know you gone eventually get there. You just need that one person. For a while I was almost sure I was that person and I constantly asked my self what I was doing wrong. Why wasn't I getting through to you? Why did my messages never deliver? Why didn't you hear my cry out to help you? I wasn't even crying out for me but for you. I now understand Im not that person. It hurts. It hurts that I want to help you but I can't. I can only wait until that person comes." Liy said rubbing the back of her friends neck in a soothing manner.

They had pulled up to Ky's driveway and now they were sitting and talking.

"You may not be that person. But I assure you when I find that person, I don't care, Your going to be the first person I thank because of how much your tried. How much your were here for me. You'll always be number one to me. On my mama" Ky said with a smile, grabbing her Liy's hand off her neck and holding onto it.

"Thank you. I love you." Liy said, tears running down her face.

"I love you too my LiyLiy" Ky said, letting go of her hand and wiping her friend's face . Ky then wiped a tear from her face with one finger and drew a heart onto Liy's right hand with the tear.

It was something that they did during their first breakdown and it just became a habit to do everytime that only her and Jaliy knew.

Jaliy wiped her eye and drew one back onto Ky's left hand with her tears.

A soul mate isn't always a romantic parter or a lover. Its when the 2 connected like no other. Their minds connect. They finish each other sentences and maybe even their orders at a restaurant. They tie souls. You wouldn't see one and not feel the spirit of the other. They know each other physically, mentally, and most important emotionally. They complete one another. When one felt down, the other was there to pick them up. They couldn't live on without one another. They understand each other. Side by side no matter the hardships they face, always and forever.

Sakyja was Jaliy's soulmate and Jaliy was her's. No matter what.
