CHAPTER ONE

Sakyja's Sweetening

"That's not the fucking point but ok..." Ky said before letting out a deep breath.

"Well what is the fucking point then ky? YOU JUST DONT LIKE HIM" Jaliy yelled.

"Why are you yelling? Im confused so can you explain?" Ky replied, her left eyebrow twitching from her trying to keep it held up in sarcastic confusion.

Sakyja hated the loud. She hated the extra. She felt like if you needed to yell to get your point across, it wasn't valid.

"Because there is no point. You don't like that man because of what you heard about him" Liy said, a frown evident on her face.

"Maybe because it's been a hell of amount of fights between his hoes in our neighborhood? Or maybe because he's 22 and we just turned 17, 5 fucking months ago? My fucking bad for looking out for my only damn friend " Ky retorted with a mug showcasing heavily on her face.

"I'm not even looking to be with him. I just want to have a guy friend but ok Ky. Thanks for looking out for me" Liy said with a smile on her face walking over to place kisses all over her friend's face.

"Bitch move. Hot dick and chitlin breath ass" Ky said mushing her head back.

"Hoe please" Liy said falling back on her bed.

"Put on Octonauts pleaseeeee" Ky said while in the process of fucking up all of her friends folded clothes in her drawers looking for some shorts.

"And you gone fold all that shit back up, the fuck" Liy said.

"I don't understand why you come over here without a change of clothes or at least a pair of shorts under your pants " Liy added on with a mug on her face.

"Bitch please.." Ky mugged her, "anybody ever tell you that you nag too much cause like DAMN"

"Fold. My. Shit. Back. Up. Like. I. Said." Liy said through gritted teeth like a mama as she walked down stairs to the kitchen.

"Yes ma'am" Ky said with a light laugh.

Ky grabbed some grey nike pro shorts after 3 minutes of rummaging through the drawers. She slid them on and proceeded to fold her friend's clothes back up. As much as she wanted to lay down, she folded them clothes because some about leaving stuff messed up didn't sit right with her.

"Fuck" Ky mumbled, pulling a wedgie out her butt as she walked to the door.

Ky no longer wanted to watch Octonauts. She grabbed her phone and walked down the stairs to talk to her friend.

"Why you down here hoe? You not gone watch Octonauts?" Liy spoke while stabbing her cinnamon toast crunch with the spoon a few times before swishing them around and sticking a spoonful in her mouth.

"Naw but if youn want me down here just say that" Ky said feigning hurt.

"Ion want you down here" Liy said back, shrugging her shoulders in the process with a blank expression on her face.

"Aw that's cute, when Ma gone be back ?" Ky questioned referring to Jaliy's mom and sitting in one of the grey bar stools.

"Ion know. Pops gone stop by on his break in a lil while tho."

"Ohhhhhhhh .. Imma run to the store. I want some chicken" Ky said grabbing her wristlet and keys, slipping down and off the bar stool.

"Imma jog witchu" Liy said rinsing her bowl out before neatly placing it in the sink.

Everything had to be clean, organized, and in an orderly fashion to them. That was part of the reason the 2 girls got along so good. They were alike in many ways.

"Bitchhhh. Yeen funny forreal" Ky said chuckling and gripping on her friend shoulder.

"Do you have to abuse me every time you laugh or you just choose to?" Liy said slipping her feet in her slides that were by the door.

"Shut the fuck up" Ky said doing the same and walking out the door behind her friend.

The girls both walked to and got in Ky's 2017 black Honda Accord.

"Buckle up my sweet daughter" Ky said pulling her seat belt across her body and buckling it.

"Real niggas fly out the windshield and die in the middle of the freeway" Liy said buckling her seat belt.

"Guess yeen no real nigga" Ky said pulling off and gassing her car.

"Bitch the corner store is 3 minutes away. Why you driving fast like that?" Liy said pushing her feet against the car floor in attempt to slow the car down.

During the 2 Years of being Sakyja's friend, Liy still failed to get accustomed to her friend's driving. The entire rest of the drive, Jaliy closed her eyes tightly and held onto her seat belt.

"We're hereeeee" Ky said clearly excited for her chicken.

"Barely made it fucking around with you" Liy said opening the door.

"Yea Yea Yea" Ky said walking in the well known corner store.

Ky had been living in Houston, Texas her entire life. She only moved twice so she knew everything pretty well. She had been living where she was living now since 7th grade. She knew everything and almost everyone.

She walked around the store picking up a few of her favorite snacks. That included some hot Funyuns, sour patch kids, slim jims, and a big mama.

"Yea, Lemme get a 10 peice whole wings with honey hot sauce on the side and of course ranch" Ky said to Judah, the long time owner of the corner store, while putting her snacks on top of the counter.

"Where yo drink lil ky?" Judah asked, ringing up her items.

"I want a blue raspberry slushie" Ky said, tapping her fingers on the counter making a beat.

"Gotchu Gotchu" Judah said, keying in something in his register.

"Where you get that from ky?" Liy asked, pointing to her slim jim.

"By the pickles" Ky replied, pointing to the 3rd aisle behind her.

"Preciate it lil folks" Liy said, getting an odd face in return from Ky.

"Stay away from them niggas, lil hoe ass"

"JUDAH!" Ky said, face in pure shock.

"That's fine. He gone still be working this corner store while Im out collecting my O-Block chain from Von and nem." Liy said walking back to the front of the store, placing her stuff on the counter.

" That's 24.76 Ky" Judah laughed, handing her the bag.

Ky, handing him a 20 and a 5, moved to the side waiting on her chicken and her friend.

Judah rang Jaliy up quickly before going to the back and dropping some fresh chicken for the girl.

"My feet hurt" Jaliy complained leaning her head against her friend's head.

" I know them fat ass feet do hurt" Ky laughed.

Jaliy had some cute chubby feet that Ky loved so much. They looked like little piglets to her.

"Here ya go Ky" Judah said handing Ky her chicken and slush after like 12 minutes of the 2 friends talking about feet.

"Thank you" Ky said handing him an extra five dollars just because.

Sakyja was a sweetheart. She was quick to hand out and give without anyone asking. She was also quick to give advice and talk to anyone about their problems. Jaliy was the mean friend. She didn't care what came out her mouth and she refused to let you play her. She also refused to let you play her friend. She was a sweetheart, so Jaliy was alway there to make sure nobody took advantage of her friend's kindness.

"Thank you so much lil one" Judah said grabbing the girls hand in between his 2 hands and squeezing them then letting go.

"No problem Ju" Ky said readjusting her bags then walking out the door with her friend on side of her.

"My dad said he on the way to check on us" Liy said getting in the passenger side of her friend's car.

"Okay." Ky said reaching over and placing her food on the backseat then pulling her seat belt on.

"Drive normal please bitch" Liy said buckling her seatbelt.

"Still ain't a real nigga I see but okay whatever " Ky said pulling off and driving at a normal speed.

The 2 girls pulled back up at the house in 2 minutes, grabbing their things and going in. Around 10 minutes later Jalil, Jaliy's dad, came in the house.

"Wassup Pops" Liy said.

"Wassup babygirl" Jalil greeted taking his gun out his pants and placing it on the kitchen island.

"Wassup Ky" He added on looking over at her then grabbing a flat out of her box of chicken.

"Nun much pops. Coulda washed your hand before grabbing my food tho" Ky said rolling her eyes and laughing.

"My bad, my lil germaphobe" Jalil said laughing and cleaning his chicken bone.

"You cool" Ky said laughing.

She wasn't really pressed. He only touched the chicken he ate.

"What y'all gone do today?" He asked brushing his hands against eachother, shaking the chicken crumbs and seasoning off his hands.

"Probably nothing, just chill out. It's the beginning of summer break, I need to sit down somewhere for a lil while." Jaliy said, rubbing her head that was hurting from being in the scorching hot weather for just them 30 seconds of walking to and from the car.

"You okay?" Jalil and Ky both asked looking at her.

"I'm good. Head just hurting" She responded laying down on the couch.

"Imma take care of my sick little patient" Ky said pinching the girl's cheek like a grandma.

"Bi- Ky Please" Liy corrected her self looking up at how serious her friend was then laughing.

"Yea fix it.. I'm gone tho, I need to get back to fixing on these cars" Jalil said tucking his gun back into his pants then grabbing his keys off the island.

"Alright, Love you, stay safe" Both the girls said watching him walk out the door.

"You need sum? Some water or anything" Ky asked her friend, watching her continuously rub her big ass forehead.

"Just a tylenol and a water" Liy said smiling.

She was so happy and beyond grateful that she managed to have such a good ass friend like Sakyja. She could never let another bitch have Ky. She barely liked the thought of her getting a boyfriend and him getting all the attention that once was all hers. To say she was selfish and stingy about Ky was definitely a BIG understatement. She loved her friend.

"Ok. Be right back" Ky nodded, skipping off into the kitchen.

"A big ass kid" Liy mumbled, laughing while watching her friend skip out of and back into her view.

"Here" Ky said holding the girls head up with her hand and putting the tylenol in her mouth then putting the bottle of water to her lips watching her drink.

"Thanks friend" Liy said laying her head back down, smiling up at her friend.

"No problem boo" Ky said."What you want to watch?"

"The grinch"

"It's the start of summer..."

"Just put it on" Liy said pulling her knees in her chest.

"Alright damn" Ky said putting the movie on and curling up on the couch.

"Wake me up at 4, I gotta go back to my house before I go to work" Ky said.

"I gotchu" Liy said sticking her thumb in her mouth.

"Thanks, love you" Ky said playing with her own ear, slowly falling asleep.

"Love you too" Liy said also falling asleep.

4:21 pm.

"Jaliy!" A woman yelled.

"Jaliy Meraki Jones!" The women yelled again now standing over the girl.

"Yes Ma?" A tired Jaliy responded tossing around on the couch.

"Where my I.D?" Jaliy's mom, Tenisha asked.

"Why I would know where YOUR I.D is?" Jaliy asked putting emphasis on "your", clearly forgetting who she was talking to.

"Explain to me why I shouldn't buss you in your fat ass forehead for talking to me like Im Ky or some?" The lady rhetorically asked, leaning her head to the side.

"Ion know where your I.D is Ma." Jaliy said fixing her tone with her mom.

"Imma need you to find it for me. I'm tired of using Brenda work tag to clock in and out.

Jaliy's mom worked at The Heights Hospital. She was a RN. She lost her work tag which made it hard for her to get in and out of her designated work place in ICU. Losing her I.D made it no better because now she couldn't get a new work tag and was stuck using her co- worker's.

"I gotchu. I'll find it by the time you get off at 11"Jaliy said closing her eyes again.

"Thanks baby" Tenisha said turning around to leave and head back to her job.

"What time is it?" Jaliy questioned because her mom didn't take breaks until around 4:30 .

"4:26" The lady responded, gathering her things getting ready to walk out the door.

"DAM-NGGGG" Jaliy practically yelled, hopping up.

"What?" Her mom stopped in her tracks.

"Nun. Was supposed to wake Ky up at 4, Love you tho, bye" Jaliy said while quickly walking to her friend, shaking her awake.

"Oh. Bye tho, love y'all!" Tenisha said walking out the door.

"Ky get up." Liy said patting the girl's sides and stomach.

"What? What Bitch?" Ky said slowly waking up.

"It's 4:30"

"You dumb ass bitch. I'm finna be late as hell" Ky said jumping up grabbing all her stuff as fast as she could, tripping and dropping stuff in the process.

"I'm so sorry. We can get late night ice cream when you get off" Liy said helping Ky grab her things with her lip poked out, feeling bad.

"I guess" Ky said sliding back in her pants and slides.

The nike hoodie and jeans she had on and jordan 1s in her car, would just have to do today since she had no time to go home and change.

"Alright, love you, stay safe" Ky said running out to her car.

" VV" Liy said, watching her friend get in and pull off, locking the door to the house.

this one was kind of short. this only the first chapter so stay lit bitch, they gone get longer and longer.

again, no one in this book will have a face claim except ky if i really wanna add one. i want all my readers to have their own imagination and own feel about the characters. yes, there will be some descriptions of the characters but it will not be a final set in stone face claim for any of the characters. if this bothers you, oh well.
