"Haha, you donât need to look so scared. Itâs really nothing serious."
"Then why me?"
"Well⦠relatively speaking, this really isnât much for you, Ha-Eun."
Her evasive gaze said it all. Whatâs not a big deal for me is clearly a big deal for everyone else.
âItâs probably art-related. If thatâs the case, wouldnât it be better to call a teacher instead? Thereâs Lee Ah-Reum or even Hong Ye-Hwa⦠so why pick me specifically?â
"Ahem. There are two things Iâd like to ask you to help with," Kim Yoo-Jin began, clearing her throat and looking at me with a strangely serious expression.
âWow, sheâs good at redirecting the conversation. Is this the power of a student council president?â
"The first is art. Iâm sure you expected that," she continued.
"Yeah, I just guessed that. It seemed like the only reason youâd call me."
"Exactly. The reason we called you is to ask for a painting. And the second is to stream a live broadcast during the festival."
"Oh, thatâs no big deal. Is it for promoting the festival?"
"Yes, exactly! Originally, it was the student councilâs responsibility, butâ¦" She glanced at the mountain of paperwork piled on the desk.
"Weâre short on time. Please, Iâm begging you!" she said, bowing her head abruptly.
Startled, I quickly waved my hands in response. "Oh no, itâs fine! I was going to offer to help with the streaming anyway. As for the paintingâ¦"
"Oh! Weâve already selected the theme for it."
"Ah, well, then Iâll try to finish it as soon as possible. I guess Iâll need about a week or soâ"@@novelbin@@
