His deep low tone of voice reverberated within the airs that were cornering us and yet, all I could do was gulp.

I could barely see him, but I knew that he must have been eyeing the same person that I had been looking at, as if observing Caliere wasn't enough, as if there was something about him mysterious enough to deal with and one of that was when Jer managed to bring me to calm when I saw him in that vision.

Bloodied with two of the people he was talking about, one with the knight and one with the white robe people.

I felt as if the more I delved into this matter, the more I would be dragged into his world, a world that I barely knew a world that he must have been keeping a secret, and yet a world that he only had reasons to live, or to harm people.

Yet, I vowed from that moment that I would know him, I would enter his world, but just to know why he did those things to me in the past, because these feelings I have for him, must have been fading as time went on, with the distance between us.

The eyes that shone like it's giving me life every time that I looked at them as if they were the only light I could descend my eyes on, and the very blinding light that destroyed me, even until now, I felt as if I couldn't remove my gaze from them.

As if I was still this captivated even though I had admitted to myself that my feelings were no longer here.

Perhaps, there was still something within me that I kept on denying...

"Just be certain that you would not put your whole trust in your Fiance, Lady Vestia..." I could hear Jer's words ringing through my mind and all I did was nod but my eyes were still in front, in the vision where I have myself the man that could never look at me the same way he would do with Liana.

"You look as if you're near but I felt like you're in a very far place, Vestia," Caliere said putting his tea down then gazed at my eyes but he averted them to look around.

Some butterflies appeared right in front of us, ones that had yellow colors, the others had white and some had blue, they fluttered around and descended to the flowers.

I could see how Caliere put his pointing finger up and a butterfly landed on it.

Two of them, and they seemed to be friends, even creatures like them have this sense of belongingness in this world.

"They looked so much livelier, right?" His voice became softer and careful but calmer. I could see from my clone's eyes how his eyes did the same thing and as if everything was engulfed with mists, bathed in golden dust, I couldn't see anything more than his sweet smile and the way he gazed at the two butterflies in his hands.

"You know, I'm sometimes reminded by you, whenever I see some butterflies, Vestia," Caliere spoke, and his nostalgic voice that only belonged to Liana seemed to appear right in front of me.

That I, even if I was indeed far away from him, and had this young man beside me, named Jer, could still feel as I he was reachable, as if I could reach him and he would grab my hands in no hesitation.

But then, a sudden thunderous voice became a point where I had to halt these overflowing feelings right from the start as if I was indeed bathed in cold water.

"Lady Vestia, you should know the reason why that event took place, and we never know if he had something up against his sleeves," Jer said and without batting an eye from the image right in front, I narrowed my gazes and uttered some breaths before finally uttering some words.

"I know Jer, I know. I've longed sealed these emotions within me that I couldn't even know what it feels like to love again," perhaps, a part of me still knows, but the majority of my mind was now focused on the bigger frame.

Images of people that cared and loved me for who I am in this lifetime, were enough to discard the past.

"But you know Vestia," Caliere said from the other side, and as he raised the butterflies high above, they fluttered higher than his hands and even went ahead within the veins of the roses above the arcs surrounding my cloned figure and Caliere.

"Whenever I think of you as a butterfly, I also get worried," he paused and now, the eyes that were looking elsewhere had descended on their way to my soul, as if I was indeed the one he's talking to right at that moment.

Still, I could feel as if something wasn't right from the start and I had to figure that out, it seemed that something was bound to happen anytime soon.

I just feel it, I just couldn't——

"You should stay rested, for now, Lady Vestia," I could feel Jer's hands on my shoulders, and before I could speak any words, I looked at him looking at my mirror and I didn't even realize how warm he had kept me with that smile.

I nodded but I still looked at the image in front of us since it was still playing.

"That someday, you would flutter your wings away and never look back, as if you would be able to find your happiness if you were able to fly high up in the sky like those two," he pointed to the butterflies fluttering their wings as if they were giving out some mists.

"Caliere, you know that—"

"I know, Vestia, I know, but even though it feels that you're right here right in front of me, I feel like you're unreachable at the moment, and yet, do you happen to only comfort me with words?" His voice sounded like he had been wounded but the smile on his face says otherwise.

I couldn't even utter any words, even the clone that I shaped to act like me. Caliere was even talking about the necklace that I wasn't able to shape in a clone.

Perhaps, that's the start of my suspicions but I just stepped it aside.

Shaking my head, I let the clone avert the topic and changed it to the necklace when I heard Caliere laugh.

"About the necklace, Caliere..."

"I know, you always had it in you. Just don't ever lose that Vestia, because it will always keep you...." Before Caliere could finish his words that I could even hear, the image right in front vanished and now, it might seem that the danger that had passed from showing that may have subsided.

But another came to our vision and now it was another clone of mine but with a different appearance.

The clone was listening to Anna the whole time while observing the maids from the other side talking about something.

But then, when I looked back again, some servants were worried.

I could sense they were looking at us especially, Anna but when I looked at Anna's neck, I could see a red necklace but it seemed that she couldn't even see it.

"Anna," I paused

"What is it, Belle?" She asked, and I guess she was playing along since everyone from the manor seemed to be aware of us or something was about to happen.

"I think I have to clean the other parts since chief maid Ferna had ordered me to clean the basement..." Anna's eyes widened and I could see her mouth opening but all she did was force herself to close her eyes while she was already starting to bite her lips to which my clone chuckled.

"Stop doing those things, I knew from the days I've been here about what you notified and said to me..." my clone said and touched Anna's cheeks. I could even notice how wide her eyes were enough to see a tint of water coming out but the clone caressed her face.

"Don't worry, didn't I tell you before? The favor I told you was this and that I would do anything to protect you, Anna. I just can't help but be worried. Also, stop being too emotional, you're already making me cry," I said through the clone and the clone just conveyed the words.

That being said, I saw Anna chuckled

"Then you have to kick some butt there, all right?"

I smiled with her chuckles and I walked away from the hall towards the place that the chief maid said as if I was indeed the clone that I'd created.

But in reality, I put some fragments of my soul in those dolls to have some inch of my magic so that I could protect myself when danger came or that I could protect the ones I loved and cared for.

As soon as I was in the basement of the Vellitas household, holding the mop and some bail with water, I could see that everything was dark.

It was as if in the first place, it wasn't even a basement but a storage place for something, and that something only happens to be the servants that the Vellitas household could grow fond of and I guess I caught their eyes.

Not Anna but I as Belle in this manor.

Everything as if made of wood, I could see a wooden table from the center, and everything attached to the walls was of dangerous weapons. The light felt as if it was old turning on and off at the same time and all I could do was narrow my gaze until I could feel a shadow looming behind me that made me close my eyes and have my magic cast everywhere.

There the shadow became pained from the shouts and everything that had happened right in that place was shown.

But then, after I could grasp what had happened to my clone, Jer immediately pulled me over to some extent and the next thing I knew, crimson fluid was already flowing from my cheeks.

"Jer?"
