Rossetti's pov

Everything hurt I broke into a fitting cough my chest felt like it was on fire with each breath I took hurt.

I forced my eyes open looking at complete nothingness another wave of pain sparked through my chest i clenched my chest tears springing in my eyes as I fell to my knees shaking with fear what was happening to me I looked at my hands which blood stained... blood I had coughed out... Blood

I hated the pain I wanted it to go away.

A two bright lights made me look up from my hands.

The light formed into two people.

A lady with silver hair and bright blue eyes she had a very calm face as she looked at me with a soft expression she was wearing a plain white dress while the other person- a tall man with black hair and purple eye's was wearing a black mage like cape. His gaze unreadable.

"Wow so this is the new one?" The black haired man turned to the lady who shushed him "whats your name kid?" The man asked unfazed "R-Rossetti" I stuttered wincing as I spoke as it made the pain worse.

"Rossetti? Well Rossetti your one of the first children in many years to have both Mana and Prana" The silver haired lady said "prana?" I looked at her confused the lady touched my head sending a sharp spike of pain through my chest a broke into coughs putting my hand to my chest as the pain suddenly eased.

"Prana is another word for Divine magic" the black haired man explained "I thought those damn humans would learn there lesson to not let people with Prana and Mana get married!" He suddenly exclaimed.

"I know Hades" the lady stood up straight "Hades!?" I looked at the black haired man shocked "as in the demon!?-"

"No! That's just the name my cursed parents gave me since I was a monster who couldn't be controlled or something my trusted comrade betrayed me making me a cursed spirit and sealed in this damn space" the black haired man- Hades sighed.

"Why couldn't people with Prana and Mana mix?" I asked glad that the pain was finally gone Hades looked at me with a gaze that said 'Are you serious?'

When I didn't say anything he sighed "Or they'll end up like you most kids can't handle it and will die at childbirth but somehow since your powers awoke later on you might have a chance to live" Hades shrugged I looked at him

My blood ran cold

"I can die?" I whispered "yup sorry to say Kid" Hades shrugged "but-" I fell silent looking at my hands which shook with fear "I don't want to die!" I exclaimed desperately.

Hades looked at me with a straight face "you think I did?"

"What?" I whispered "there have only been five people in this world with our case where Prana and mana mix! And actually live and not die at child birth-Silas over there! Had more Prana and she could control it so well it was so strong people announced her a saint- that was until her mana mixed in and her powers went out of control they beheaded her and called her a witch" Hades shrugged pointing to the lady- Silas

"A-and you-?"

"I over stepped my boundaries-" he changed the subject "there are another three of us who are in the spirit world still grumpy about there lives before they died which is why there not here to greet you- if you die you'll end up here with us we can't move on to the after life we're called the guardians of the gates- don't ask I don't know what that is ether" Hades said lastly when I opened my mouth to ask.

"Can't I live!? Is there no way not to die!?" I asked desperately Hades looked at me with a normal expression once again and shrugged "maybe there is maybe there isn't it's not my job to tell what your job is right now is to get over... your sad situation"

I was speechless.... I was going to die- or live I didn't know! If there was a cure if there wasn't!? I didn't want to die I wanted to live and see everyone... I wanted to... I felt everything around me begin to fade the spirits or so they called themselves were getting blurry.

I jolted awake to an intense pain in my chest sitting up I coughed grabbing my neck it was like something was choking me clawing me and tearing me apart.

Tears etched in my eyes I cried out the pain was to much.

I felt a shoulder on my back and voices around me but it all seemed a blur.

I know a lot of you must be confused about magic and all since it wasn't really mentioned in the manhwa just like to say there is magic I mean Tia reincarnated and there's a hole Arc in the novel during the hunting festival and all- I won't spoil I'm saying I decided to mention magic a little earlier since why not  (°▽°)
