Chapter 355
Chapter 355
Although Clark was holding Nyla, her displeasure was evident.
Clearly, she was unhappy with the situation. Additionally, his hand was concealed inside her coat, which seemed highly suspicious.
âWhat are you doing here?â Damon demanded.
His cold gaze settled on Clark as he tapped lightly on the desk, emanating an oppressive aura.
Clark leaned closer to Nyla and whispered, âSpeak.â
His hand, hidden behind Nyla, shifted slightly, causing her to go rigid.
At that moment, Damon finally realized what felt so off
His eyes turned icy as he fixed his sharp gaze on Clark. It was as if it could cut through him at any
moment.
*Clark, it seems you really want to join your father!â Damon threatened.
Intimidated by Damonâs aura, Clarkâs hand on Nylaâs waist trembled.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to meet Damonâs eyes. âUncle Damon, if I hadnât done this, you wouldnât have agreed to see me, right?â
âIâm giving you three seconds to let her go. Otherwise, Iâll ensure you understand the meaning of regret!â
Damon warned.
Instead of complying, Clark merely smirked. âUncle Damon, the worst mistake you can make in a
negotiation is acting rashly. Revealing your hand too early only puts you at a disadvantage.â
âWhat do you want?â Damon demanded.
âYou should already know what I want. Why bother asking Clark retorted.
Damon picked up the internal line. âContact the individuals in charge of the contracts Clark stole. Tell them that if they agree to drop the matter, Prospectus Technology will continue to work with them and increase their profit margin by 10%.*
Nyla froze. She hadnât expected Damon to make such a decisive move on her behalf. She was overwhelmed with mixed emotions.
After hanging up, Damon looked up at Clark with a steely gaze. âNow, will you let her go?â
*Donât be in such a rush, Uncle Damon. My secretary will call me when everything is settled. Iâll release her then, Clark replied.
Damon remained silent, his gaze chillingly cold. If Clark werenât his nephew, and if anyone else dared to threaten him like this, Damon would ensure they didnât live to see another day.
Soon enough, Clarkâs phone rang. He did not answer it, merely smiling at Damon. âUncle Damon, you really keep your word. It seems Nyla is very important to you.â
Although he was smiling, there was no warmth in his eyes.

âI donât want to hear any of this nonsense,â Damon retorted.
Clark chuckled and removed his hand from Nylaâs waist.
In the next moment, Damonâs expression darkened. âYou played me!â
What Clark had been holding wasnât a knife or anything dangerousâit was merely a plastic cake knife.
Nyla was stunned, her frown deepening. The sensation she had felt against her waist shouldnât have come from a plastic knife.
However, if Clark had truly been holding a knife, she still couldnât have acted rashly. Who knew what he might do in a fit of madness?
âUncle Damon, I didnât have a choice. If you had been willing to help me, none of this would have happened today,â Clark insisted.
Damon sneered, unwilling to waste any more words on him. âGet out!â
He would ensure Clark learned the cost of playing games with him.
Clarkâs expression remained calm as he said slowly, âUncle Damon, my dadâs company is all I have left. If you go after it, I canât promise I wonât do something drastic.â
âAre you threatening me?â Damonâs voice was low.
