I was back at my place blasting music throughout the house as "Hotel Lobby" by Quavo and Takeoff were playing and I was rapping to it along with packing some of my things for the new house. My phone started ringing as I grabbed it off of my vanity desk that was in my closet. I looked at the name realizing it was my lawyer over my case Latasha. I paused the music playing throughout the house then answered my phone.

"Hello?" I answered "Yeah you got a minute?" She questioned. "Yeah what's going on?" I asked " I just received a call from Atlanta's criminal investigators division and before the media starts covering it I want to inform you So you're not surprised" Latasha started off. "Latasha what's going on?" I asked. "The other person responsible for your house break in is one of Maya's cousins" Latasha informed as I just stopped in my tracks. "Wait" I started off confused. "So it's one of Jevons friends and the other is Maya's cousin?" I asked.

"Yes so they're being taken into custody as we speak. They're going to be questioned to see if Jevon or even Maya at this point had something to do with it" Latasha started off "Then they will be charged of course, then court" she informed as I just pinched the bridge of my nose. "Because of what's going on and who they are tied too they are now becoming apart of you and Maya's case against Jevon" Latasha added. "So with that happening and me staying out in LA, what's going on with Maya did she accept witness protection for the meantime til we settle this thing with Jevon and the court?" I questioned.

"Maya didn't take witness protection she in fact stated she wasn't going to take it" Latasha informed as I scrunched my brows. "What?" I asked "I thought she told you?" Latasha asked. "No she hasn't even checked up on me after the house was broken into. Maya hasn't spoken to me since before I left to go to New York and she texted me was I at the house before everything went down" I explained looking at the messages between Maya and I. "Y/N was she your friend prior to this?" Latasha asked. "Honestly Latasha" I started off. "When Jevon and I were together he cheated on me with her multiple times and that's how they ended up getting together" I admitted.

"I've talked to her about the problems I were having with Jevon as far as abuse and etc and she basically blamed me for why he was abusing and sexually abusing me" I honestly said as Latasha sighed. "Maya didn't put that out there for the world to know" I said. "And she's not" Latasha said. "Keep me updated on if anything else is said or something is going on, Michael definitely called the right shots as far as you staying out in LA because this something isn't right" Latasha expressed. "Especially It being Maya's cousin and Jevons friend trying to break into your house" she added. "Yeah but I'll keep you updated" I assured "alright be safe and I'll talk to you later. "You too and thank you" I thanked "you're welcome, we're going to get you Justice" she assured as There was a ring at my doorbell and we said our goodbyes.

I hung up then headed downstairs. Once I made it downstairs I peeked outside seeing Michael. I went to the door and opened it. "Hey baby" I said as he smiled. "Hey" He said closing the door behind him before wrapping his arms around my waist. I just smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. He kissed my lips as I smiled. "You started looking at furniture?" He questioned as I pulled away and shook my head. "Not yet" I said as he placed his hands in his hoodie pocket and chuckled before he looked at me funny.

"What's going on?" He asked "how do you know something is wrong?" I asked with a small smile. "We best friends before anything I know when something's going on with my girl" he admitted as I smiled. "No I just got off the phone with Latasha and the police said not only was it Jevons friend who broke into my house but Maya's cousin too" I said as Michael looked at me crazy. "What?" He questioned as I nodded. "Yeah. They're being charged and now is tied in with Maya and I's court case along with their solo court cases for the break in" I explained.

"Nah Y/N that don't sound right" Michael said shaking his head. "This why i wasn't trying to argue with you as far as you staying out here in LA" Michael honestly said as Lola ran up to us and I picked her up. "I know Mike" I assured as he wrapped his arms around my waist "you're okay right?"  Michael asked curious as I nodded. "Yeah it just seems like something after another" I admitted feeling him kiss my head and bring me in. "I know" he said resting his head on mine. "You got it and I got you" he assured rubbing my back as I just closed my eyes.

My phone then started ringing in my hand as I looked down now seeing Maya trying to call me.

I pulled away from Michael "This Maya calling me now" I said "wait don't answer it yet" Michael started off pulling out his phone as we walked into the kitchen "why?" I asked confused. "She seems off so I'm just going to record the conversation." Michael informed as we took a seat at the island together and he started recording. I finally answered as Maya with our hesitation got onto the phone with her rah rah shit.

"How the fuck you gonna sit there and move back out to LA when your house just got broken into and leave me out in atlanta alone?" She questioned as Michael and I looked at each other crazy. "That's selfish as fuck and if they after You they after me too" She expressed. "You a hoe for that because if you ain't have any money you would've been right out there in Atlanta still." She said. "HELLO?!" She questioned.

"First off" I started off "nah ain't no first off you got some money and you treating people different" she added.

"Maya you are not entitled to my money, I upped and left Atlanta because OUR lawyer the same one who is also fighting for you who ALSO presented Witness protection for YOU that YOU turned down, said that leaving Atlanta was my safest option right now so I did that" I explained. "Money don't have anything to do with any of this because at the end of the day my friends and family are here so I would've been out here money or no money let's make that VERY clear" I expressed

"So watch who you talking too" I warned "nah bitch you ain't even text or tell me you was doing that". "So how'd you find out?" I asked curious.

"The lawyer had to tell me" she answered, "oh okay, so you knew about it?" I asked. "You should've been Woman enough to tell me" She said now talking out the side of her neck. "You haven't spoke to me even after my house was broken into but yet you picking up the phone to complain about a decision I not only made with my lawyer but with my man for my safety?" I asked. "What? The man who's just with you to clear his name from only dating non black women?" She asked as Michael and I just looked at each other about to laugh. "Don't talk to me about being woman enough when you move the way that you do and you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about Maya." I brought up.

"I'm not no fucking diary bitch, so if he was beating on you and raping you, you should've taken that shit to the cops instead of me. And as far as Jevon and I messing with each other and getting together YOU should've been doing what you were supposed to be doing as a girlfriend" she expressed as I just looked at Michael and he just looked at me in shock. "Want to play victim so fucking badly meanwhile You not tending to that niggas needs and you wonder why he did what he did to you" she expressed as Michael raised his brows about to say something but I stopped him before he could utter anything out.

"Well guess what?" I started off  "since you think you can justify a man's actions for why he did what he did to me, You can lose my number and now only contact my lawyer directly. Whatever you need to know about this case She will let you know." I said as she tried to cut me off but I immediately shut her down "because you not about to sit here and think you going to talk to me any type of way because I left for my safety and you didn't take up the offer on witness protection. Absolutely the fuck not" I expressed in all seriousness.

"I looked out for you and you said "fuck you" to me, too many times This case is bigger than me not telling you I moved and you trying to get clout. Women including myself has went through this or is going through this and I will set an example not to play with a black woman when it comes to these type of situations" I assured. "Bitch this happened to you years ago ain't nobody trying to listen to you" Maya said "Then why bring it up on the internet?" I questioned her as she got quiet. "YOU brought this to the internet and I decided to help YOU because I wanted to make sure other women that he got with didn't go through the same thing" I informed.

"So do what you want when it comes to this internet BS because it's fake. But just know do not play with me" I warned before hanging up and looking over at Michael. He just stopped the video and looked at me. "She just told on herself" Michael said confused. "Yes because she's a bird brained bitch and that's what bird brained bitches do" I said as Michael looked at me "you okay though?" Michael asked "yeah if she takes this shit to the internet she will be also taken to court as well I'm done playing games and having sympathy for people who don't give a fuck about me" I honestly said fed up.
