Sebastian was no longer a boy.
The kindness that once softened his features had long faded, replaced by sharp edges and cold calculation.
His father was still king, but not for long.
Sebastian had spent years preparing for this. Gathering allies. Eliminating threats. Strengthening himself.
He no longer saw the world through the innocent eyes of a reckless prince.
Everything was a threat.
Every word a manipulation.
Every kindness a lie.
He had been foolish once.
He would never be again.
His father had taught him a cruel lesson-
And soon, very soon, Sebastian would return the favor.

The rebellion began in whispers.
Then, in battles.
And soon-
The kingdom was his.
Sebastian led his forces to victory, standing over his father's broken rule with cold, ruthless satisfaction.
The old king had underestimated him.
Had thought him nothing but an emotional boy.
But now, the boy was gone.
And in his place stood a king.
Sebastian did not hesitate when the moment came.
His father fell by his blade.
The throne was his.
He should have felt triumphant.
But he did not.
Because victory meant nothing-
If Alex was not there to see it.
Finding Him
Sebastian spent weeks searching.
His spies combed through villages, towns, distant lands.
And then-
One day-
Sebastian's scout returned with a name.
"We've found him, Your Majesty."
Sebastian's heart stopped.
For the first time in years, something inside him stirred.
Hope.
But hope was dangerous.
And when he finally saw Alex again-
He realized why.

Alex stood in the center of a quiet village, dressed in plain clothes, speaking to the people like he had never left.
Like he had built a life here.
Like he had moved on.
Sebastian felt something sharp dig into his chest.
Because this was not the same Alex he had left behind.
The man before him was calm. Steady. At peace.
Sebastian had spent years consumed by rage, sharpening himself into a weapon-
But Alex-
Alex had found a way to heal.
And as their eyes met for the first time in years-
Sebastian realized something else.
Alex did not run to him.
Did not break at the sight of him.
He only stared.
And in his gaze, there was no longing. No relief.
Only hesitation.
And that-
That was what broke Sebastian.
