Chapter 861 âHow could Zac do something like cheat on you? Phoebe, donât believe it! There must be some misunderstanding.â
Olivia sighed helplessly. âI didnât, but Zac really did create that kind of atmosphere, and for him to even pass me the divorce papers to sign, I really am at my witsâ end.â
âDonât sign it! You gotta be sure of whatâs going on.â
Kate frowned as she picked up her phone. âIâll call him to ask. He has to be clear about this.â
âDonât.â
Olivia stopped her and snatched her phone away. âDonât call him. Even if you did, itâll be a waste of time. Itâs no use. I already told him, and he said that he would come looking for me after he thought through it clearly.ââ
âWhat did you tell him?â
After asking, Kate slammed her fist onto the blanket unhappily. âNo! Iâve gotta meet that mistress. Maybe I could get some info out of her.â
âIâve met her.â
âWhat? Youâve even met the mistress? Donât tell me sheâs the one who came looking for you.â
Kate looked at Olivia incredulously. âHow can mistresses be so daring nowadays? For them to do anything at all... Wait...â
It was until then that Kate realized something was not right. She pulled at Oliviaâs outside and scrutinized it for a long while. âThis isnât right. You werenât wearing this when you went out just now.â
Then, Kate lifted up her head and looked at Olivia. âYouâve changed your clothes. Why did you have to change your clothes? Did the mistress bully you?â
Kate was still nursing her wounds, and she was not supposed to get mad or leave the hospital. Olivia was afraid that she would go to Jamie York in the heat of the moment with her anger, so she quickly started to comfort her.
âNo, I bumped into a delivery person on my way to look for Zac, and their food spilled all over me, so my clothes were dirty. I was afraid that if you guys saw me, you would overthink, so I went back to change.â
âReally?â
It was obvious that Kate still did not really believe Olivia.
Olivia nodded. âYes.â
âWhat did the mistress say? When did she and Zac start seeing each other?â
âDonât be so angry. I donât even think sheâs really his mistress. This could just be something Zac came up with to force me to divorce him.â
âWhy?â Kate was confused. âDid he really... Because you looked like...â
She did not continue her sentence. She thought it was not nice to say, so she swallowed the second half of the sentence.
Olivia naturally did not mind as she laughed. âAre you trying to say that itâs because I looked like Olivia Larson?â
Kate was stunned but nodded.
âOf course not. There must be another reason. Iâll ask him. Donât worry.â
âOkay, please tell me when the time comes.â
Suddenly, Kate grabbed onto Oliviaâs hand as she had just thought of something. âJust now, what did Dorothy say about Noah Ginger? What was that all about? Why did you say that youâve killed someone?â
Olivia was quiet. Then, she briefly told Kate the whole incident regarding Noah.
âSo, Noah was someone who died a long time ago?â
Olivia nodded. âYou could say that.â
âDid you really kill him?â
Olivia did not answer that directly. âI really had no choice at that time, and I was at my witsâ end.â
âThat was how Johnâs injuries came about, right?â
Kate pouted. âPhoebe, do you still not trust me? Are you afraid that Iâl betray you? You never tell me any of these things. These are big things!â
When it came to this, Olivia had to agree that she was indeed not completely honest with Kate.
All in all, Kate did not even know that she was Olivia Larson.
The thing was, after what happened with Jennie, she had started being warier of the people around her, so she did not tell Kate about it. Also, she felt like the less people knew about all these things, the better. She did not want to pull Kate into this mess.
âPhoebe, I really feel like thereâs a lot of secrets in you. I canât see through you at all. Sometimes, it really intrigues me and piques my curiosity.â
