Chapter 712 Even though Olivia had seen Jennieâs true colors, she was still a little worried, causing her to not be able to sleep the entire night as she scrolled through her phone repeatedly, so afraid that she would see the news of a womanâs corpse being pulled out of the sea.
However, a night passed, and there were no abnormalities in the news even up till the morning of the next day.
Olivia breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the gloomy skies out the window and the chirpy birds on the tree and decided that she would pull her curtains and nap for a while.
She had just laid down when a new one popped up on her phone.
Olivia glanced at it subconsciously and what she saw froze her immediately.
How did the media know? Did someone leak it?
She really could not sleep then, so she scrambled up to take a bath and went downstairs.
Mrs. Simmons saw how early Olivia was up and how tired she looked and knew that Olivia did not sleep the entire night.
âGo take a nap, Ms. Larson, itâs still early now.â
âI canât sleep.â Olivia rubbed her eyes. âMrs. Simmons, could you brew me some coffee, please?â
âYouâre drinking coffee even when you canât sleep? No, Iâll make you some floral tea. You should feel better after you drink it.â
âSure.â
Olivia walked towards the garden.
Mrs. Simmons chased after her and wrapped a cardigan around Olivia. âItâs chilly out, Ms. Larson. Bundle up so you donât catch a cold.â
âThank you, Mrs. Simmons.â
Mrs, Simmons knew how much Olivia valued relationships, so it must be that Sutherland lady that had caused Olivia to lose her sleep.
It was all her fault. If she was not been such a busybody and got Olivia to get Jennie to stay, it would not have turned out like this.
âMs. Larson must be feeling so downtrodden,â she thought.
Olivia was watering plants in the garden, but her brain was occupied with the news she saw just now.
Not many people knew that Jimmy Quinton was the mastermind behind Zacâs accident. Olivia ran through the list of people that knew about it in her head, but she did not get an answer.
Who could it be?
âLiv?â
Hearing his voice, Olivia turned and saw Zac coming to her side in his wheelchair.
âWhy are you up so early? Did you not sleep the entire night?â
âI slept, but Iâm a light sleeper, so Iâm up early.â
She took out her phone and showed Zac the news. âLook at this.â
Zac glanced through it and frowned slightly. âIt was definitely leaked by someone on purpose so Iâd get in a fight with Jimmy.â
âI thought so too. The timing was impeccable as well. You just announced that youâre going back to Quinton Group to work, and someone leaked such news. Itâs clearly a ploy against you.â
âTil settle this. Donât you worry. Letâs go in and get breakfast.â
Olivia nodded.
âOh right, is today the day you go back to the hospital for a follow-up appointment?â
âYep, it is.â
âLetâs head to the hospital after we eat then.â
âOkay.â
At the hospital.
The doctor did a thorough check-up and said, âMr. Quinton, youâre recovering well, but your legs and your ears are still the same.
Are you having a lot of stress lately?â
âNot too bad.â
âI suggest that you lessen the usage of the hearing aids and try to use your ears. You donât have any physical impairments. Itâs more like a mental block.â
A mental block?
Olivia tugged at the doctor. âDoctor, how do we deal with the mental block? Heâs had a much better mindset recently.â
âThis isnât my field of expertise, Mrs. Quinton. You can ask Dr. Lucas that. I believe he should be more knowledgeable than me regarding this.â
Zac pulled Olivia back. âDonât be so anxious, Liv. It could be because Iâve been wearing the hearing aids for so long and I kept feeling that I canât hear, and that could be why.â
âYouâre going to work at the Quinton Group next week. Can you really not wear the hearing aids?â
âItâs fine. We can discuss it with Ken later in the afternoon.â
The pair walked out and bumped into Fabian at the door.
Fabian glanced at Zac and smiled. âMr. Zac, youâre here for a follow-up?â
âYes, what about you, Mr. Fabian?â
âOh, my mom isnât feeling too well, so Iâm here to visit her.â
Fabian sigheditâs just a small illness, but since Dad is concerned about my mom, he will send her to the hospital even if sheâs just a little unwell.â
Then, he looked at Zac. âOh, right, did Mr. Quinton not come with you to your follow-up appointment?â
