“When they called me, the person said that if I don’t have the money, I can get it from my friend Phoebe. Isn’t she Mrs. Quinton?”

Olivia was shocked. She then lowered her head to look at Zac. They knew this was not as simple as it seemed.

“Mrs. Simmons, take Ms. Sutherland to have a shower and change out of her clothes.”

‘Yes, Miss.”

“Pheebs, are you not willing to help me...”

‘Ten million is not a small amount, so I need to talk to Zac about this. Go take a shower. We’ll tell you after we talk about it, okay?”

Jennie was a little worried. “Pheebs, are you not mad at me?”

Olivia did not answer. “Do you have a photo of that man?”

‘Yeah. I’ll send it to you.”

“Okay.”

Olivie pushed Zac past Jennie and then said to Mrs. Simmons softly, ‘Take care of her for me.”

Then, she pushed Zac to the second floor.

Once they reached the study, Olivia sat on the sofa. She felt like her brain was a mess.

Even if Jennie betrayed her, this blackmail was clearly targeted at her.

She kept feeling like she had harmed Jennie, so she blamed herself a little.

“Liv, I won’t allow you to blame yourself.”

Olivia lifted her head to look at Zac. Then, she pursed her lips and did not say anything.

“Remember, the people who betrayed you are not worthy of your pity. Dorothy almost killed you and Ian yesterday. If John didn’t show up in time, what do you think would have happened?

“She betrayed you and now she’s back and apologizing because she needs your help. Do you think it’s worth blaming yourself for someone like this?”

“Of course, I know it’s not. However, these other people seem to be coming for me.”

‘You dummy.”

Zac patted her forehead. ‘Think about it. How many enemies do you have in Ocean City?”

Olivia was slightly stunned. Then, she pondered with a frown. “I think there’s only Dorothy.”

“See? She’s on the same team as Dorothy, so she might be helping Dorothy harm you again. Especially when she said she needs to hand the ransom in person. Have you seen blackmail like this before?”

Olivia blinked. “Are you saying we shouldn’t help her?”

‘Will you not help her just because I said so?”

Olivia lowered her head, not daring to look at him.

Zac was too smart, and he completely saw through her.

“If I don’t allow you to help her, you will surely do it behind my back. If something happens, I’m afraid I won’t be there in time to save you.”

Zac turned his wheelchair to open the safe. Then, he took out a bank card and handed it to her. “Here’s five million. The bank card doesn’t belong to me, so I can sponsor this five million. Tell her to come up with something to make up for the rest.”

“I already gifted her millions last time when you bought the atelier. How does she have the cheek to still ask you for money?”

Zac turned on his computer and looked through his records. “Look, she sold her house for eight million, and she also sold yours.”

Olivia was stunned. “She told me last night she didn’t sell mine.”

“She did. It’s sold to someone named Mr. M.”

‘Mr. M Olivia finally understood. Jennie lied to her saying she did not sell it but she did.

However, the fortunate thing was that the buyer was Mr. M, so she could still think of a way to ask for it back.

However, after learning about this, Olivia’s patience had reached its limit.

She could forgive Jennie for lying to her once.

However, she kept lying to and betraying Olivia. In addition, she even made something up to get Olivia’s money. She could not tolerate this.

It would be unfair to Zac if she kept tolerating Jennie.
