Chapter 650 The air in the room froze instantly, and the expressions of all four were unnatural.
âAre you sure itâs her?â
Olivia looked coldly at the woman. âIâm pretty sure because she insulted Zyla. Thereâs no way I will forget.â
Kenâs eyes were dark as he advanced toward the woman. Ignoring the fact that they were in a hospital room, he grabbed her by the collar and asked, âKate, tell me, was it you?â
âKen, let me explain...â
Ken said with a sneer, âExplain? Okay, Iâll give you a chance to explain. Tell me why you insulted Zyla. Tell me!â
âI... I didnât. Itâs...â Kate pointed to Olivia. âShe mistook me for someone else.â
âMistook?â
Ken let go of her collar, grabbed her by the wrist, and yanked her over to Olivia. âPheebs, this is my sister, Kate, who just got back from abroad.â
With that said, he yanked Kate outside. âGo. Get out of here. Donât make a fool of yourself!â
âSister?â
She said she was Kenâs fiancée at the cemetery....
There was a lot of difference between a fiancée and a sister.
Once they were gone, Zac and Olivia were left alone in the room. They looked at each other and fell silent.
âLiv?â
Zac was the first to speak. âKen sent breakfast. It has nothing to do with Kate. I donât know Kate very well either.â
Olivia froze momentarily and shook her head. âI didnât misunderstand you. I was afraid sheâd hurt you.â
âYou didnât misunderstand?â
âYeah.â
Zac felt disappointed for some reason.
He knew she would misunderstand and feel uncomfortable if it was John, but she seemed nonchalant when it came to him.
Olivia walked over to the bedside, sat down, and spoke in sign language. âI met her at Zylaâs grave. She called her a homewrecker to my face. Then I met her at Dorothyâs birthday party. They were very close.
âShe also said she was Kenâs fiancée, so I was afraid she had an ulterior motive.â
Zac frowned. âDid she say that?â
âOf course, I have no reason to accuse her. After all, I didnât know she was Kenâs sister at the time.â
The fact that Kate was Kenâs sister surprised Olivia.
Zyla was technically her sister-in-law. Why did she hate Zyla so much?
Her scolding did not sound fake. She sounded like she genuinely hated Zyla.
âKen will take care of it.:
With that said, he suddenly changed the topic and asked, âHowâs John?â
Olivia shook her head. âI donât know. He was already gone when I got up.â
âThe weddingâs tomorrow. Are you nervous?â
âA little.â
Olivia pressed her lips together and smiled. âI can handle it.â
Both seemed so nervous that they ran out of topics to talk about as they thought of the wedding.
Just then, Ken walked in.
Olivia looked behind him and did not see Kate.
âI sent her home.â
Kenâs expression did not look good. âLiv, Iâm sorry about today. She came to see me at the hospital. Thinking she knew Zac and hadnât seen him for a long time, I brought her with me to visit him. I didnât expect her to be the person that day.â
âShe doesnât know about Zacâs condition, does she?â
âNo. I didnât tell her.â Ken frowned and asked, âAre you sure you saw her at Dorothyâs birthday party?â
âDo you think I lied?â
âNo, she has always been abroad and only got back this month. I didnât expect her to get involved with Dorothy so soon.â
Olivia had no idea about that either.
Besides, Kate would have been back around the same time as her if she did not guess it wrong, or they would not have met at the cemetery.
With that in mind, Olivia felt a little uneasy, thinking something would happen at the wedding tomorrow.
