Chapter 546 Olivia shook her head. âItâs okay. I got wet from the rain, so I got changed.â
âReally?â
Jennie was skeptical but did not pursue it further.
âBy the way, Iâve got someone to help us get a lawyer. I hope we get someone who can compete with TR.â
âI reached out to a few, but they rejected us as soon as they heard it was TR.â
Jennie said with a bitter smile, âThey said no one can win a lawsuit against TR.â
Olivia did not know what to say about that.
Words of comfort seemed hollow because she knew very well that it would be a fierce battle.
âWe still gotta try hard to find evidence that we designed that first.
âThe problem is that TR is crafty. They released their design first and said they produced it three years ago. They even have documents and some rich people to back them up.â
Olivia gasped and froze in place for a long time.
After a long pause, she said, âJennie, letâs go home and see what the lawyer says. I donât think we can do it alone.â
âOkay, why donât I treat you to dinner?â
âForget it. Letâs eat at my place. Fred made your favorite food.â
âOkay, but this...â
Olivia shook her head helplessly. âIâm afraid I canât keep it a secret any longer, but if he doesnât ask, donât say anything. Just pretend you donât know.â
âOkay, got it.â
However, what surprised Olivia was that Fred did not mention anything during the meal. It was as if he did not know anything about it.
However, he pulled her over to the balcony as soon as Jennie left.
âLiv, why didnât you tell me what happened with the atelier?â
Olivia looked at him and breathed a sigh of relief. âSo you know. I was wondering how I was going to keep it from you. I guess I donât have to.â
âLiv, donât handle everything yourself. Iâm your brother. You should trust me.â
âI believe you. What do you think you can do, Fred?â
âWe can work it out together, or I can even hack into their computer and see how they got those files.â
Olivia closed her eyes and sighed, helpless and scared. âFred, donât mess around. Or theyâll sue you. Youâll probably have to go to jail by then.â
Panicked, Fred tapped the railing. âLiv, what ideas do you have?â
âI donât know what to do.â
The air froze suddenly.
The two looked at each other before finally turning their heads to look into the distance.
âLiv, come with us. Forget about The One and compensation.â
Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. âFred, I could leave. What about Jennie? Can she handle it?â
âShe...â
âShe still has her parents. What will their family do if they track them down?â
âBut we donât have that much money, and we canât win this lawsuit. What else can we do?â
âIâm going to win this lawsuit.â Olivia looked at him sternly. âFred, I canât let the brand I built suffer like this.
âBesides, do you think the people behind this will leave me alone when Iâm gone?â
Fred said nothing but lit a cigarette and took a long drag.
Olivia coughed, bit her lip, and said, âIf heâd let me go, all of this would have ended four years ago on the day Olivia Larson died.â
