Chapter 513 Xavier saw how spooked Olivia was and released her immediately. He smiled jokingly and teased her. âIâm just kidding with you.
Iâm a righteous man, so I would never do something like taking advantage of you.â
She glanced at him cautiously and said, âHow would I know that?â
He hid his smile immediately when he realized that she was angry and stuffed the bouquet into her arms. âI brought you flowers.
Are you free tonight? Iâve made reservations at a pretty good restaurant, and Iâd like to bring you there for dinnerâ
âNo need. Iâm not free tonight.â
âFred has dinner waiting for you?â
âYeah.â
âBring me along, then Olivia was stunned. She looked helplessly at the cheeky man. âMr. Hemsworth, this concerns my house. What business do I have bringing a client back home with me?â
He narrowed his beautiful moon-shaped eyes and leaned against the table. âArenât we friends, Pheebs? Besides that, Iâve gone to your house many times for a meal, so doing it again isnât that big of a deal.â
She was completely speechless Were men these days coated in superglue?
Why were they becoming increasingly hard to remove?
She thought John was already shameless enough. She did not expect Xavier to be even more shameless than John âMr. Hemsworth, you.
âCall me Xavier Olivia got even madder when he cut her off. She bit her lips angrily as she tried to suppress her anger âXavier, stop sticking to me. Weâre not right for each other.â
After hearing that, Xavier sighed and walked toward the window.
âLife is long, Pheebs Anything is possible.â
She was at a complete loss for words.
She had just realized how stubborn this man was. Nothing she said worked, and there was nothing she had done that had managed to chase him away.
At that moment, Fred came in the door with Lyla in his arms.
âLiv, weâre...â
Before he could finish speaking, he saw Xavier standing by the window, and Fredâs face instantly darkened. His tone got a few notches colder, and he snapped, âWhat are you doing here?â
âMe?â Xavier looked amusingly at Fred. âIâm here for Pheebs, of course.â
âThen you must have gotten rejected. Weâre going out for dinner tonight, so Liv has no time for you. Just leave already.â
âYouâre going out for dinner? I wanna come too!â
âYou?â Fred snickered coldly. âArenât you going to ask if Liv wants to bring you along? Are you really that thick-skinned?â
Xavier turned to look at Olivia as he patiently waited for her response.
Olivia did not want to bring Xavier along, but she knew that if he wanted to come, it did not matter if she invited him or not. He would still tag along.
âFine, Fred, just let him tag along. Itâs just another seat at the table.â
âLiv!â
After hearing that, Xavier cocked his eyebrows at Fred smugly like he had won the battle.
He was fuming, but since Olivia had said yes, there was nothing he could say about it She looked at the time, stood up, and said, âAlright, since weâre all here, letâs make a move. Iâll get Jennie.â
Then, she walked over to carry Lyla and walked out the door.
The two men that were left in the room glared daggers at each other, and in the end, Fred lost.
Fred was certainly no match for Xavier when it came to being shameless.
Jennie, on the other hand, did not mind Xavier joining them for dinner, so they drove off to the restaurant with the reservations.
The food was already pre-ordered, so as soon as they stepped into their private room, Olivia blatantly ignored Xavier as she played with Lyla.
They were having lots of fun when Oliviaâs phone rang.
One glance at the caller ID, and Olivia immediately moved Lyla into Fredâs arms. She walked out of the room quickly after that.
When she was in a quiet area, she scanned her surroundings quickly before she answered the call âLiv, Iâll finally get to know the truth soon.â
The truth?
Olivia could not respond in time. âWhat truth?â
âThe truth about Zyâs death four years ago.â
